STAY AWAY! Terrible customer service. Rude. VERY unprofessional and unhelpful. We were ready to spend a chunk of money (on two different days) but the girl behind the counter wouldn't acknowledge, help, or even talk to us. Take your $$ elsewhere, apparently they don't need it. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE!!! The people running it are intentionally scamming customers by adding items and changing prices upon checkout. I thought it was honest errors initially but it happens to us every time we visit and to others we know as well. Heartbreaking to learn they do this on purpose. This last visit they added an item we didn't get and then charged almost quadruple price marked for a strand of beads and when we caught it and came back to the checkout to get it fixed, they said it was marked wrong and they wouldn't sell it to us at the price marked! It was marked wrong so you charged us more and never said anything and then also added an additional item!? Unbelievable. read more

STAY AWAY!!!! I'm officially never supporting this company. I live here and take all of my visitors (family and friends) to the gator emporium. The lady working *PAT* accused of us stealing. My sweet mother and I were picking out earrings and she kept remind us that she hasn't sold any all day and that she is missing 6 pairs. Then she reminded us that people are looking at the camera. When we tried to check out she said just so you know we are missing 6 pairs i finally said excuse me are you accusing us of stealing? She said I'm just stating the facts. We said we are uncomfortable and not interested in spending this money if you think we stole from you. She made us feel very uncomfortable and sick to our stomach we left without purchasing anything. My mom was heart broken and after that being the first store we went to we walked around and tried to keep shopping and she felt really uncomfortable. Totally ruined our whole day in Ouray. She was just visiting my home and was treated this way. I went back and purchased the earnings she really wanted and let PAT know she ruined our day. A very very rude woman running the store. I was looking at an item and the first thing she said to me was what are you doing. She then told me because I was looking at the item I had to purchase it, and when I said I wasn't going to she told me I had to leave the store and I was never allowed to return over a horrible customer service items are too expensive was waste of time. The woman running the shop was rude and unwelcoming. Wasn't even in there for 5 minutes. We were asking questions about a stone and were debating on buying, but said to us, "I don't care if you get it or not". I don't know who the lady is that the other reviews are talking about, but I was welcomed into the store by Wesley. What a total gem and genuine soul she is. We sparked up a real awesome conversation. I spent quite some time in the store, it was like a little store created for me to stop in while I was in Ouray. Super rad, and fair priced. I could've stayed in there forever, but they have to close at some point don't they? Lol. I left with some gifts for my family and for myself. Super quirky store. Always something to find here! Cool imported goods and endless options to enjoy

The Owner ran me out of the store because I didn't have my mask over my nose. This woman created a scene in the store, in front of other customers, by chastising me from all the way in the back to the front of the store. She then followed me out to the sidewalk to continue lecturing me on "common courtesy". What that woman didn't know after she humiliated me is that I'm SEVERELY claustrophobic and I'm doing the absolute best I can. We were tourists in Ouray and had a lovely time, but that definitely left a stain on our experience. read more

This store has so many wonderful items to choose from, closest thing Ouray has to a metaphysical store. The owners were both very helpful and nice. No surprise about wearing a mask in a store, as it is public health protocol. Grateful for such a free spirited spot in this conservative town! Will be back! read more

Enormous selection beads for making jewelry, clothing and decor - my favorite store in Ouray... drove 2 hours out of the way on our visit to Colorado just to shop here. PS they stay open until 8 in the busy summer months. read more

Great stuff, but the owner obviously thought we were stealing, and checked up on us every two minutes. After ten minutes of just checking things out, she said to "buy something or get out of my store" and then we picked something, when we checked out she said "all that browsing for a eight dollar thing" then she rolled her eyes. This store is nice with a lot of cool products, however the owner of the store was extremely pressuring. She was constantly watching me and kept aggressively urging me to decide on something, even when I had only been looking around for a few minutes. When I checked out, she also said things that made it seem like she was dissatisfied with what I bought as if I didn't spend enough money there. Overall I would say she ruined the experience for me, and I would not recommend this shop. read more

It was an awesome place to shop, with a tone of beads, but plenty of novelty items and other higher price items, the owner was cool, but everywhere you look in the store there are signs that read "Smile you're on camera" and the owner sat there behind the counter watching his security cameras like a HAWK! You almost felt like you were doing something wrong while looking at things, as if he was watching for you to steal something, it was so uncomfortable that my husband & I did not buy nothing and we left. I get that people were prolly ripping him off by stealing but don't make it uncomfortable for others who are there to have a good experience!!!!!!!!!!!! read more
