Love love love Gatsby Cafe! We stayed at the Hotel Napoleon, located next door, and originally came to Gatsby Cafe out of convenience. But what keep us coming back is their food and customer service, which were top notched! Gatsby Cafe is good for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner! You just can't go wrong here. There's something for everyone. My guilty pleasure was their Pistachio Coffee (€6).....this turned out to be like a dessert, and I loved it. Not overly sweet and just perfection. Most people opted to sit in their outdoor dining area but iI would encourage you to sit inside the restaurant. Great vibe & atmosphere; completely different from their outdoor dining area! Food-wise, they have a diverse menu. Some of our faves were their sandwiches (available during lunch until they run out), their charcuterie board, and their pizzas. They also have hot dishes. The day before we left Rome, we were running an errand. On the way back, my significant other wanted to spend some time in a store, and I wanted to check out the ruins I had seen in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II di Savoia across the street. So we agreed to meet in Gatsby Cafè when we were done. I returned earlier and had a Caffè macchiato and a pastry while waiting. Literally one of my favorite places in Rome. Sitting conspicuously in front of one of the Vittorio Emmanuel entrances, it can be easy to mistake it as a tourist trap. However, their ceasar salad is so good. It is the best item on the menu, and it is especially worth it for the portion. Their coffees and pastries were pretty delicious as well... even though it's a bit on the pricier side. What makes this place very special was their exceptional service (compared to other Italian restaurants) and for being a great study spot. My friends and I would study hours here with their provided wifi. They also have outlets for you to charge your device. I highly recommend coming here for students who need a place outside their homes to study but also wanted to eat. It reminded me of the times I would study in cafes back in the States. Just make sure to let the workers know beforehand you were going to stay for a while! read more

Their hot chocolate was the richest of rich lol it was purely chocolate lmao but delicious I had a brownie as well and everything was yummy. They have other warm Bread/ pastries did not try but looked very yummy. They have indoor seating just keep in mind everything is more pricey if you sit inside as opposed to if you would've order it to go that just how it is in Rome. The price seemed reasonable. The shop is next to the metro and this strip is pretty lively at night people come out and have cocktails And smoke a cigarette. read more

This Cafè is a hidden gem! We walked right by it the first night we were in Rome, but not the second. They had a live band and people were dancing along. It was a beautiful and fun sight! We joined in on the fun with a pair of Aperol spritz! Our drinks arrived quickly and were made well. The interior of Gatsby is a historic and modern beauty. Can't say enough about this little café right near the metro station. Limited selection of pastry, but each of the flavors we tried were very good. Very affordable and amazing cappuccinos. Surprised that they didn't charge a coperto fee even when we opted for "al tavolo (server brings food outside) instead of "al banco". Four pastries and a cappuccino only runs about €5. Loved the pistachio filled croissant especially. read more

Gatsby Cafe is a quaint little shop in a plaza. It's easy to miss as you're walking down the sidewalk, but it's definitely a gem we're glad to have discovered near our Airbnb. The food is great -- plain croissants with sugar on top are €1 -- but the service is also wonderful. The guys behind the counter are very nice and they all wear cute little hats. We stopped by three days in a row while in Rome for breakfast. I would order my croissant, and my two friends loved the pistachio cream croissants. Recommended! read more

My girlfriend and I stayed in the neighborhood during our recent visit. We were out exploring our first night and walked by Gatsby. They had live jazz and it was happening. We didn't go in because we were exhausted but saw they had coffee and breakfast. So we came back the next morning... We walked in to a fairly empty café, I assume everyone was at work already which was nice for us. We had plenty of seating to choose from and could plan our day in peace and quiet. The first visit, we had croissants and cappuccinos. The croissants were SO good. They were whole wheat with fruit jam inside then lightly sprinkled with coarse sugar. AMAZING. Everything cost us under €5! Well worth it. We loved it so much, we came back again the next morning. I couldn't get myself to try anything else because I loved the croissant so much. My girl ended up getting the croissant with pistachio crème. We both agreed that while hers was good, it didn'tcompete with mine! This time around, we had espresso. It was strong and good. We also had fresh squeezed juice. Not sure what it actually was, but tasted like an orange and grapefruit combination. DELICIOUS. Really everything we have had here is amazing! The service is great. They were very nice and just really wonderful to us. Prices are so reasonable. We would totally come back again if we could! A favorite of ours. read more

Amazing cafe with great prices! We were staying around the corner in an Airbnb while visiting Rome and decided to grab some coffee and pastries before we headed out for the day. When we arrived we were greeted by their friendly staff (who spoke English very well) and ordered a cappuccino, espresso, croissant, salmon bagel and a cronut. The food was delicious, I especially loved the croissant with cream filling, YUM. The coffee was equally delicious and my husband enjoyed his espresso. One thing to note, the cafe is much larger than you may expect. They have 3 levels of seating, you take the staircase beside the cash register up and the bathroom is also located upstairs on the top level. All in all, we loved this cafe! We came back a second time for our last morning in Rome. Highly recommend! read more

Super cute little cafe that serves great coffee and croissants. The staff was really nice! We ordered an Americano, plain croissant, chocolate filled croissant, and a zucchini pie. The croissants were delicious! You can tell they are made well by the flakey layers once you bite into it. It's also glazed with a slight lemon-y sugar flavor. My boyfriend and I wanted a short coffee break and some AC and we found this cafe. Really cute cafe with modern decor inside. The woman at the register spoke really good English. We both got the lemonade to cool off and it was so good!! It's not your typical overly sweet lemonade. You can tell it's freshly made with actual lemon juice with lemon slices and basil in it.
