These guys really know how to cook a steak. OK so they can do other things but do you really come to a restaurant where you sit on cow hide seats and order the veggie option? That said the staff are fantastic very helpfully and friendly. Menus are very nice and they have a very extensive wine menu. Wines can be pricey, typically starting at about £25 a bottle but they are exceptional. Can't praise them enough and the atmosphere here is as good as all the others. Come and enjoy ! Veggies need not apply :)

Gaucho at the O2 i simply love gaucho, food is always tasty, great atmosphere great cocktails something that really impressed me every single time about gaucho (@the O2, the one in mayfair piccadilly branch, london bridge, the one in farringdon the one in charlotte street, and the one in hamptead, so far all that I've been to) THEY do truly understand and master the art of service, you can tell their staff have been well trained. My experience is, you come out with a smile or literally they don't let you go'! haha i know its Amazing! either by great food great service or if something is not at your standard, by saying its on the house madam or even better when they say would you like to order something else instead madam omg thats music to my ears, i always leave with a smile and thats why its on my top 10 restaurants in london!

What did I think of Gaucho before? A fancy food-chain restaurant that serves probably quite good food with overrated expensive wine. How wrong I was! Gaucho emphasizes Argentinian culture where food and wine and the passion for people forms an integral part. I was honoured to take part in an Argentinian wine fair for a preliminary preview of Gaucho's Argentinian wine. What do I think of Gaucho after the event? No further convincing needed. I am looking forward to their full launch of Argentinian wines in October 2015 in all of their Gaucho restaurants. Prices starts from £11.50 for rose, red and white wine. Many are priced in the region of £19.00 - £25.00, £70.00++ for few prestige bottles and up to £100.00 for a bottle of Nicolas Catena Zapata. Magnum bottles range from £128.00 to Susana Balbo's £398.00. Argentina's sparkling wine are also available from £19.00. If you are lucky and happens to be dining while Phil Crozier is around, make sure you get a chance to speak to him and feel his passion for Argentinian wine.

The new Gaucho restaurant is quite different to the existing ones. More in keeping with the musical, theatrical, buzzing atmosphere of the O2 in general, Gaucho has three floors of decadent Argentine sophistication to offer. The top floor is a dazzling, glitzy affair, quite unlike all the dark, sultry, sexy interiors elsewhere in the restaurant and in all the others. My comments on Gaucho in Swallow Street summarise my feelings towards the general service and food at this restaurant, but this one surpasses the others in terms of style, size and glamour. The ground floor bar is perfect for sipping on one of their many cocktails, the 1st floor is a busy, bustling and exciting restaurant, and the top floor is a sumptuous events space which looks like it would be quite versatile for parties of different sizes. I think I prefer the quieter, more intimate atmosphere of Hampstead or City Gaucho, but if you get a chance to hire the Private Dining room here, it's the best of all of them! Also, I haven't tried one yet, but I've seen them selling chic little paper cones of hot food at the IndigO2 Arena (a smaller version of the main arena space where they put on more intimate gigs and shows). I'll report back when I get my hands on one.

Last night was my first night at Cabrera. I'm trying to make an effort to explore my location area…read moremore and support local businesses. Well, clearly I didn't get the memo on Cabrera, this place was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious! I was a bit skeptic at first just based on the fact the waitress was an older lady and there was some confusion when we asked some questions regarding the menu, but I was wrong. My friend and I shared the steak selection (£48 for 2 people) which came with Sirloin, Fillet and Ribeye. 2 steaks of each per person. We then ordered 3 side dishes to share between us - dauphinois potato, triple cooked chips and a portion of asparagus. All of it was cooked to perfection. The knife went through the steak like butter, the chips were delicious and the potatoes so tasty and the asparagus was perfect. I was getting quite full, with 3 steaks to eat, but I didn't want the meal to end, it was so delicious. The portion of chips was huge! We couldn't finish them. The potatoes were just addictive, I would happily have eaten it all over again. The restaurant soon filled up and I was actually really surprised at how busy it got. I naively didn't think that people frequented these local restaurants too often, but the place was really busy and according to our waitress, that was a quiet night! If only I could afford to eat here all the time! With it being a steak restaurant the price is more expensive than say going out for an Italian meal, but it was most definitely worth it. I can't wait to tell all my friends and colleagues and encourage everyone to go. I can't wait to go back. Cabrera is definitely a local gem.

A very average and overpriced meal. I kind of knew this would be the case after I learned Gaucho is…read morea chain but I tried it anyways. On entry it's already a bad first impression. The interior and feel of this place is very dated. It looks straight out of the late 90's, early 2000's with stark color choices, no warmth to the space at all, and a general feel of wear and tear on everything; a few seconds is all it takes to start feeling some regret about your choices. Unfortunately the food confirms it. We tried some empanadas, both beef and the chicken+chorizo versions, and they were okay - I've had better almost everywhere. But the steak was the real let down. I chose the specialty cut of the ancho (Rib Eye) and while it look pretty tasty, the texture was good, and the temp was perfectly medium rare, there was almost no flavor at all to the meat. Chimichurri sauce did not help it nor did the name "Ancho" which suggests there is going to be some bold flavors kicking out of this steak. To be fair, British beef has been very underwhelming in general so the locals clearly need to start from a disadvantage but as many cuisines and chefs have demonstrated there is a lot you can do with an otherwise lower quality piece of meat - none of that knowledge is demonstrated here. Service was mostly non-existent. Skip it.

However, it was a whopping 93 GBP for 600g, which is meant to share between 2 people, but still not that much (refer to my pic). This is simply just too high of a price for this. Bone marrow and onions (12 GBP) - This was surprisingly good. Although the marrow itself didn't have much of a flavor, it was a nice buttery consistency to spread on the bread. The onions were cooked very well. Sticky Toffee Pudding (9.50 GBP) - This was more of a bread like dessert than a pudding, but was tasty and not overly sweet despite the toffee (which is good). The staff are very friendly, helpful, and attentive. The service speed is pretty quick. The interior is decorated in a nice yet not too pretentious steakhouse style. There were still plenty of open tables available on a Sunday night. Overall, while the steak and food are very good, the steak is simply too overpriced to justify me getting it again. Maybe worth trying once but not twice. I would potentially come back for the other menu options though.
