The chorizo was definitely better than the ribeye.

Imo this is always a shady little tactic of restaurants but especially when dealing with a young adult who might not know better. Anyway it was a five quid slap in the face. We weren't super hungry so we ordered the steak salad (about £20) to share, the truffle mac and cheese side (£7.50) and the sweet potato side (£5.50). Steak salad was yummy but a terrible value. It was more like "small steak with overdressed side salad underneath". The steak was fab - cooked and seasoned perfectly - but when ordering a salad you want the salad to be the star which this certainly was not. Truffle mac was good but lacking in truffle flavour. Sweet potato was nice - had a great creme fraiche on it that added a lot. Waited ages for the bill to be brought out and when it finally was, there was an error on the bill that I had to wait for them to correct. To their credit, they were very attentive during the meal itself and checked in frequently. Overall wouldn't recommend but it wasn't terrible.

Dulce de leche cheesecake was heavenly. Our server Chizzy made the experience amazing with her kind and bubbly personality. Will definitely be back.

Went out this evening together with my family to celebrate our grand parents turning 80 years old…read morethis year. To be honest, I think this is one of the best dinner experiences I have had ever in my life! The atmosphere was relaxing, at the same time as the place was quite busy. The volume level was perfect, and the staff was super friendly and gave excellent service. As we were 12 people for dinner, we chose their option of sharing starter, main courses and dessert which was made out of a different assortment of their most popular dishes. Not only was a big variety of different meat and side dishes that made our taste buds go wild, but the amount of food was enough to make each and everyone full to the limit and beyond. Personally, this was a huge plus for me, as I hate going out to eat and getting only small portions, paying a lot of money for it, and then leave the restaurant hungry. These guys give you a real bang for the buck in terms of food quantity with this sharing concept of their menu. As to mention some of the dishes, the chorizo, the blood sausage, the meat, the tuna and the mashed potatoes were all out of heaven. As for dessert, go for the dulce de leche cheesecake, even thoigh you think that their chokolate cake is a safe choice. In this case it wasn't, and I am glad I took our servants word for it. Only small negative aspect of this experience wss the price. However, if you are hungry for quality food that will give your taste buds a trip to heaven, it is worth every penny. Thank you so much, Gaucho.

Everything was grilled right in front of me but the sandwich ended up being smaller than I expected, though the generous portion of chips made up for it. I would have been disappointed with the £10 sandwich though. Chips were excellent though I was annoyed that they didn't have any containers for sauce and instead squirted it right in the box, which made some of the chips soggy by the time I got back to my flat. The steak was a bit gamey honestly and didn't taste super high quality. I did quite like the bread the sandwich was on however. It was fine but I won't be adding it to my regular lunch list.

The steak is so juicy and tender, and they give you huge chunks at a reasonable price. Also, take advantage of their chimichurri sauce! I put a ridiculous amount of chimichurri on mine, and it tasted like heaven. This food stand probably has one of the longer waits, but I guarantee you that it's worth it! My mouth is watering as I'm typing this. Will definitely seek this place out again the next time I'm in London!

I expected great things, and was not disappointed…read more This unassuming spot in Broadway Market gets by on its well deserved reputation alone. From the outside, and when you squint through the window, you won't see anything flash or pretentious (looking at you Gaucho), but just wooden furniture and staff in jeans and over-worn, over-washed baggy restaurant tshirts. It's when you get inside that the smell hits you. My co-eater noted, with some delight, that it even smelt like South America - the meat, the wine, the spices. Mouths were watering. Down to business - friendly, if not a little indifferent, service and rustic, simple décor. In the middle of the room is the huge grill on which the slabs of meat were being cooked. It was fun watching these guys move the meat around, clearly knowledgeable and skilled. The wine we were recommended, a Malbec of course, was damn good. When my food arrived, there was a wry smile on my face. Perhaps it was a boastful smile. The sizzling paradilla that was squeezed onto our table was a meat delight. 2 sausages, 1 black pudding, a slab of provolone and the stars of the show, a huuuuge sirloin and a juicy fillet. Shared between two, this was more than enough. We went for a side of salad to compliment. The meat was fantastic. Really, very good. And the sign of a good steak - the fat from the sirloin was melt-in-your-mouth juicy and tasty. Such a treat. As we were one of the last customers to finish, we witnessed the staff setting up for an end of shift dinner. Steaks, bread, salads and bottles of wine were assembled on the table and they promptly sat down to eat together to see the night out. Nice touch that.
