After years of going and purchasing the same items every year at the same time apparently past co workers did not follow protocol. I asked to speak to a manager being I had a very big event to attend for my daughter it was a very special day for her. I went to grab what she wanted and rushed to her bithday dinner. Needless to say last month we were buying my birthday gift and we were told an ID would be fine (we normally facetime and it was fine) but not this time. I even had multiple other items that I had planned on buying as well. I got a very unprofessional email from the manager which I will not speak on. She said everything I needed to hear and expressed about the prior workers who did not follow protocol. My child did not receive what she wanted. Which is okay we went straight to Kendra Scott's website and also got an extra discount and we will be ordering from them directly. I like supporting small businesses, but again this is why unfortunately a lot of people are not and are ordering online. Good riddance, and thank you again for putting the classless email I have with everything you stated. WE WON'T BE BACK. read more

Dec 24, 2022 I bought a Christmas gift in November (22nd) when I was here; I live in Galveston. I have the receipt and wasn't allowed to return it for ANY kind of refund OR store credit today. So, now if the top doesn't fit, the person can't return it either. $62 top It has to be within 14 days. It's the holidays man, people start shopping in November for Christmas. They have it extended if you bought something after Thanksgiving but, that doesn't help me. I HAVE THE RECEIPT. THE TAGS ARE STILL ON IT. total crap Of course being Christmas Eve, the manager or owner aren't working today in either store. Most unpleasant shopping experience. From out of town and bought a gift for my wife. There was a sign about 14 days to return, and I asked if the item can be returned for a refund (which is not a store credit, that is an exchange) within the 14 days. She said yes it could be returned. I did not see any other signs, that is why I asked the young girl behind the counter, and I as clear with my question. And now my wife, who drove over from Houston, is only being quoted "the store policy". So what was told to the customer is not accurate - the basic "bait and switch". Went to the Calder Street location on Black Friday. The friend who took me to the store, and I, each spent $150.00. The dressing rooms were closed so we were unable to try things on. The next day we returned with an item to exchange and one to return and were told that we could only get store credit and that items purchased for Christmas would not be exchanged unless returned within 14 days of purchase, which was November 26th. I know small businesses have been hurt by the pandemic, which is one reason we went to Gaudie--to shop locally and help a small business owner. But when the business owner does not appreciate the customer, I and my friend will go to the large stores, like Dillard's and Macy's to shop in the future. If you are going to have such a ridiculous policy, it should be posted where everyone can see it, instead of having your clerks say, "Well, it's on the receipt", which you don't see until you've made your purchase, and when questioned about it, says" Well, that's just the way it is." Not shopping at your store again and telling all my friends about my experience is just the way it is!!! read more

Beware!!! The owners/manager/ salespeople OBVIOUSLY do not understand the concept of the customer is always right. Some one in this store sold a family member of mine a really not so attractive necklace for Christmas, PROMISING that it could be returned if not liked. The not desired necklace was attempted to be returned, only to be offered a store credit. Too bad for us at the moment.... but too bad for you because we might be out $80.00 plus dollars now, but every opportunity we get we will let all know of the rude, small town, unprofessional and unbusinesslike practices shown in this place. read more
