I made countless calls and emails trying to just get confirmation that the taxes would be handled and filed with no response. I had countless conversations w their assistant and was told each time that my call would be returned, but it never was. I finally gave up and went with another company. When I emailed the accountant to let them know I did not need or want his services he responded immediately with an excuse and had the nerve to say he could still file my taxes (a day before the deadline). This behavior is absolutely reckless and unprofessional and shouldn't be tolerated w such sensitive and personal information and such an important issue. They're messing with people's lives and run the risk of making people have to file for an extension and accrue penalties. If you can't take on a customer and are overloaded then let them know so they can make other arrangements instead of stringing them along. This is no way to treat a customer.

Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and concerning. During the pre-engagement period, Sandy was responsive and helpful. However, after I signed the engagement letter, key components of the originally discussed scope were omitted without adequate clarification. I take responsibility for not catching this in the final agreement--lesson learned. In a rush to get things done, I agreed to additional charges to complete my 2024 financials. Immediately after providing my payment information, my card was charged more than we discussed. While frustrating, I allowed it, hoping to get my tax returns completed without further issues. Over the next two months, I received little to no progress updates. Instead, I was asked for even more money, despite our flat-fee agreement. At one point, I received a generic email stating that my tax return extension was filed--but I never received confirmation or a copy, which is standard practice with every other CPA I've worked with. When I finally pressed for clarification, I was ignored for several days. Eventually, I was sent a letter explaining that the IRS had rejected my Form 7004 extension due to a software issue, and that a paper submission had supposedly been mailed. This was never communicated to me at the time it happened. By this point, I had also discovered that no bookkeeping work had been completed--despite already being paid for. I made the decision to terminate the relationship. As of today, I have not received any completed bookkeeping work. The only thing I received was a partially prepared tax return that I would never file, as I genuinely believe it could risk triggering an audit. In my opinion, Canna CPAs operates with poor communication, lacks transparency, and did not deliver on the services I paid for. Proceed with caution and make sure you read every line of any engagement letter before signing.
