I've been in real estate for 17 years. This is the first time I closed a property with this firm…read more They were representing the builder of the property my clients purchased. First of all, they would not let me schedule the closing prior to them receiving the closing package from the lender. This is the first time that ever happened to me and every other attorney will let us do that. They did not send me the closing disclosure directly. I had to get it from my buyers to review. We closed on a Friday afternoon, after which I emailed the paralegal 2X and asked her to let us know when the property was recorded. She never responded to me. Monday morning, I asked for an executed copy of the ALTA and the recorded deed so I could make sure it was recorded property. She told me look up the deed on the Franklin county website. She told me I could pick up a copy of the ALTA with my check and refused to email a copy of it to me. Also, the closing attorney was very rude to both me and the lender. They also charge $300 more than a standard closing fee. I plan to never use them again.
