They have a great selection, though prices are higher than MSRP and can verge into scalping territory for some products despite them being easily found online. Easily solved by...buying online. The card playing experience is amazing though and just night and day compared to the other card store I used to go to in town. I had become used to people being awkward, standoffish, unreceptive to social interaction, and dealing with overbearing store rules. It was turning me away from Magic The Gathering because I was starting to think that's what it was like. But here at Geek World? The people act normal. They're talking, joking, and having fun. The employees are chill and a joy to interact with. You can find a few groups playing every day even outside of events. Friday Night Magic is incentivized to be extra friendly because instead of a prize pack, the first person to take combat damage gets a promo pack. With nobody pulling out all the stops to win, games are balanced and fair. Great store! My son is a Warhammer 40K fan. They have lots of selections tabletop games, board games, unique stuffed animals, and even some cool exotic candy. Something for everyone! They're always really helpful if you have questions about a game or whatever, and they have open times where you can come learn to play certain games, or pick up tips on how to paint models. This is the best local game store in town easy to find (right by the mall) it's where I first started playing magic the gathering I remember buying a few cards and next thing I know all these veteran players showed up and started handing me cards to build a deck one guy gave me all of his extra cards from a booster box ($112) he had just opened then they sat down and helped me build my deck and it was amazing the shop can give new people the feeling of being distant if you go in and people are playing a game wait for a bit for them to finish and I can guarantee that they will be more than happy to help there is nothing we enjoy more as magic players than helping new people get started. read more

My friends and I came in last week for Magic prerelease and had a blast. This is a cool card/board game shop with lots of memorabilia. I'm a potterhead and I was not disappointed. Mark was friendly and efficient, getting the schedules done pretty quickly. Will definitely be coming for more drafts here! read more

Over the last year, I stopped buying Pokemon cards for Geek World Games. It seems to me like they started scalping with everyone else out there and jacking up the prices on their Pokemon booster packs to the point that you can't get a pack even remotely close to retail. Recently, my wife wanted to buy some Pokemon cards, and pulled into Geek World Games. I told her, "Please don't buy cards here, they are so overpriced." She said it would be fine and we went in. She bought 2 Pokemon Celebrations booster packs. I saw that they were $8.99 each, and I said, "Babe, that's way too much for a booster pack.", but she bought them anyway. Now, a booster pack generally comes with 10 cards in a pack. For reference, a Pokemon booster pack at retail is 10 cards for about $3.98. So at $8.99/pack, I was about ready to have a heart attack. She bought them, and we went outside to open them. (I already felt sick at paying that much for a booster pack.) Then, when we opened them, we found out that they were only 4-card booster packs! 4 CARDS!!! For $8.99. I was livid. Not only because the packs were so expensive, and contained less than half the amount of cards of a normal booster pack, but that the associate didn't say anything. No, "Hey, ya'll know that these are only 4-card packs", or something similar, knowing that these packs were significantly smaller than an average booster pack. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Horrible experience. Never going back. read more
