THE FOOD
----------------…read more+ Six Snails from Burgundy - Very good! Unlike in the States, these escargot (as most in Paris) were served in their ACTUAL snail shells and they were addictively deeeelicious - like I can have 95 of them addictive!
= Duck Breast - Duck was tender, but I thought it was just OK. The orange honey sauce made for a good dipper sauce, but without it, the duck was relatively ordinary. The aligot was quite cheesy and tasty though.
= Chicken Supreme - Solid chicken and well cooked. String Beans were excellent! Like the Duck Breast, presentation was simple and elegant. However, for me personally, the chicken was OK. Nothing wow'd me on this dish.
+ Toasted Ham and Cheese Sandwich and Fried Egg, Salad - Good for what it was - a ham and cheese sammie with a fried egg. Definitely fancier than your stateside version - it wins that hands down. Bread was toasted and buttered very well, which to me, was the key to this sammie.
THE SERVICE
------------------
+ Alllll of the food came out very fast after we ordered.
+ All of the employees were super friendly to us, despite us not speaking a lick of French.
THE SURROUNDINGS
-------------------------------
= Interior and exterior are tigggght. The interior consists of a 2nd level, which has a few tables.
= Exterior has outdoor seating for what seems to be customary at most restaurants - people watching while day drinking.
RANDOM OBSERVATIONS
-------------------------------------
+ We had a resy for 6:15 PM on a Saturday evening and were seated immediately, which is always a good thing.
+ Outdoor seating area was packkked, but there was always an open table or two inside.
