Do not trust anything they say. Check everything yourself. Do not trust that the mechanic/detailer they recommended will be any good. I felt scammed. The people there are really good at pretending casual and friendly and will tell you what you want to hear. Do not take it at face value. I wish I hadn't dealt with them at all, but I already got my vehicle and there are no returns, not even within 24 hours. They are not true professionals. They are like children, and they lie, so please check everything yourself, sleep on your decisions, and stay alert. Do not trust the friendliness and openness. The check engine light was on, but the salesperson said that it is on due to the gas cap needing to be replaced as it was not sealed properly. After negotiating a price I purchased the car and drove off. Immediately after reaching the highway (queen K) the gauges read that the car was overheating. I pulled over, and instantly the gauge went back to normal. I continued to drive about 7 miles. The steering wheel started shaking, so i slowed down and pulled over, the front right tire completely blew out, the entire rim exposed and tire just disintegrated. After getting out of the car i noticed gas mixed with oil, raining out of the back right side of the car. This was was the WORST experience of my life, not to mention that I am 8 months pregnant and they sold me this fucking lemon. I called the dealer and he rightfully gave me my money back...and told me to leave the car on the side of the Queen K. The salesperson did not even show his face when we got back to the lot. DO NOT deal with these people. Me and my unborn child could have been seriously injured or worse. The mazda 6 is still listed for sale on their website.

I got the driver of the tow truck to admit fault by recording him myself . My car was totaled, no one at jeep would give me the footage of my car being totaled . John masters of kau towing is a scammer and tried not to pay me even threatening and yelling at insurance agents . And the manager of jeep would not give me the footage and I figured out why because the workers at jeep said john masters was a "friend ". I guess low life scammers be friends with low life scammers . I secretly recorded the worker who rolled it off the ramp admitting fault and got my insurance to cover it and got a new car for proof John masters is a liar and dishonest and an angry person screaming at insurance agents. And trying not to pay me I had to threaten to take him to court before he pay me . Jeep and John masters ka'u towing are awful get hexed and yes I got my money after metaphorically putting John masters in a literal choke hold and threatened court and to sue him . I do not recommend purchasing any vehicle from this dealership, especially a used one. You may have…read morea good process purchasing the vehicle, however when it comes to servicing, customer service, and warranty afterwards, they will not follow through. I purchased a 2019 Chevy Colorado from here 2 years ago. I have had numerous issues come up that have added up to a lot and I wanted to get repaired. I took the vehicle in and upon arrival a worker asked what I needed and he brought me to Shane the sales manager. Immediately this man had an attitude and was very obvious he did not want to speak to me. I explained the issues I was having, merely looking for help and answers, not looking for freebies. I was treated very poorly and spoken down upon IMMEDIATELY. Not once did he ask me what I was intending for this conversation that he promptly made hostile. Not once did he offer to have someone schedule an appointment for me to get these things figured out. Instead he blamed me for not contacting the dealership sooner with my issues. Then asked why I was even speaking to him about these issues when I should be talking to the service center. Which I then explained his OWN WORKER, who was standing with us the whole time, is the one who brought me to him. He then decided to storm out the building and just yell at me that he will walk me to the Nissan service center. There I was dismissed to Taylor the service manager.. who in a nutshell told me that the warranty I got with the vehicle was garbage, was told that my vehicle is old now and was older at purchase.. I was told how not smart it was to purchase an "older" vehicle that isn't a Nissan at a Nissan dealership.. no exaggeration pretty much told me I was stupid for this purchase. This dealership is selling used vehicles that are not Nissans and then their workers are acting like this? This dealership sold me this vehicle and they aren't even standing behind the product THEY sold me! At this point no one has taken the initiative to look at the issues on my vehicle. I had to force Taylor to look at my vehicle. And in truth he didn't actually take a look at anything, he instead moved some things around pretending to look.. While saying to me that he has no idea about chevy's because he works at a Nissan dealership and only deals with Nissan vehicles. If this is the case then why is this dealership selling any other vehicle than a Nissan? Said my vehicle mishaps may be because some versions of my vehicle have been recalled, and then never went to confirm for me if that was the case or not. I wanted HELP, that's it! I was hoping they could lead me to the right direction to get these issues resolved. Whether that was with them or another recommended mechanic or repair person. Whether that was with my warranty or with paying them. They did NOT want to help me at all. I was completely dismissed and treated like a stupid annoying woman from the moment I walked in there. I purchased this vehicle here and I should be able to bring it in and receive help with ANY kind of issue. These people don't want to work, and they certainly don't want to give proper customer service. This experience came from the sales manager Shane and service manager at the Nissan side named Taylor. I will say I have had more positive experiences at the Chrysler side of repair services... as I have had to bring this vehicle in there numerous times as it is! However I have also tried to schedule appointments with the Chrysler side and never received phone calls back, or one instance I was given a time/day for an appointment just to get here for them to tell me the appointment was never received This time around I was directly brought to Shane and Taylor and this is how they treated me. Keep in mind this is grown men treating a 27 year old woman like this. This is one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had in my life and I am absolutely appalled at how these grown men treated me. I have NEVER IN MY LIFE gone to a vehicle service center and had the workers not want to look at the issues at hand! I was not offered to have an appointment scheduled, I was offered NOTHING! It was very much giving "get the f out of here" I will be letting everyone know to not shop here for a vehicle and seek their services elsewhere, or you might just be judged and belittled for going there for help in the future. I have also filed a complaint with Nissan and Chevy headquarters. With how these people acted and the issues I've had since purchase of this vehicle, it would not surprise me if they sold me a vehicle that was in a lesser condition than what was originally stated at purchase of the vehicle. These people do not care that you spend your hard earned money there.

We rented the Jeep Renegade named "General Gene". My partner and I planned a trip to the Big Island…read morewith two goals in mind: (1) Driving to the Summit of Mauna Kea, and (2) see the best beaches we could. Since doing the first item requires a 4x4 vehicle (true fact, rangers check your car for 4lo and will turn you back without it), and many beaches require some off-pavement driving, we knew we needed a Jeep or another high clearance car with 4wd. I've rented dozens of cars from big name car rental outfits but I've constantly run into the problem of Hertz, Thrifty, etc not having the car I requested upon arrival--I just didn't trust selecting an "off road" or "luxury SUV" category and not ending up with the right kind of car. I also hate using businesses that are not local that direct all profits to off-island corps. Ultimately we found Big Island Jeep Rentals (BIJR). We were able to not just rent a Jeep, but a specific vehicle that we knew met our needs. It took out the uncertainty of renting from a big name car rental. While we had to arrange a short ride from the airport to reach BIJR, we did not have to wait in an hours-long queue that you normally face in the Budget/Enterprise/Sixt airport car rental multiplex. We had a contactless pick up and were on our way, canvas down, playing music as we found our first beach. It was also helpful because BIJR will add folding beach chairs, a quality wind-resistant beach umbrella, swim fins, and a small cooler to your trunk for you! These were essential items for enjoying the Big Island beaches. BIJR also sent us useful videos on how to use the 4x4 features for driving up Mauna Kea and a video on how to operate the cloth-top and access the trunk--useful since I've never driven a Jeep or used a 4x4. BIJR also made some reasonable requests to avoid certain tourist 4x4 spots where newbie off-roaders often (a) get into trouble or (b) damage BIJR's Jeeps and complicate those drivers' trips (e.g., Makalewena Beach and the Green Sand Beach [of which we heard was underwhelming anyway]). BIJR also can give you great tourist spot recommendations, too. In the end the only complication was that the Jeep we reserved was returned in bad shape. BIJR gave us a free upgrade to a luxury trim, but made sure we had all the features we needed (thanks for the Rubicon). Bottom Line: We got to do everything we wanted. I felt safe and prepared to use the 4x4 features. We were secure knowing our car rental would not be swapped for an insufficient replacement at the last moment. We were comfortable knowing our car rental could handle what we planned (in style). We had free access to a few beach items that made our luggage smaller and kept us from buying equipment on the Island that we'd have to leave behind. In the end we paid less than a premium upgrade at one of the big name car rental shops and got to support a local business.
