Listen, if you want to buy a vehicle. Cool. The sales people are great. Super attentive and helpful, not too pushy. Seems as though they have your best interest in mind. Buuut if you do buy a FORD it's reputation is it's reputation for a reason. The service department is awful. They never do what you ask, as simple as replacing your wipers, topping off your fluids etc. I dropped my car off Nov 12th they said they would call me and let me know what was wrong, and never did, I showed up at 5:30 pm and service was closed. I happened to catch someone still there.. and she said "it's your water pump, but you're out of warranty" after she returned my car she said she would call me the following day and never did. I have called and left numerous messages since finding out something is wrong with my water pump, keep in mind they "replaced" it 2 times already. Now I am stuck wondering if I'm going to make it to work, kids' sport practices and home everyday. It would be nice to get a phone call back and get an appointment for my 3rd replacement. read more

We just purchased our new Ford Ranger from the dealership with Jareb as my sales person. This was one of the best new car purchase experiences that I went through and I have purchased several new vehicles in the past. Jareb was very helpful in guiding us through the truck selection process as I had several items that I had to have in a vehicle. I was going to buy a new Ford here but no one can fix or service them. My Ford car has been in and out of Orchid Isle Ford Kona for eleven months. This last time they kept it a month, let the warranty expire and wanted me to pay $900 to get the media module to sync. I said no, I'll just pick it up. When I did, I discovered nothing works in my dash anymore except the fm radio and RPM display. No speedometer, no odometer, nada. It's also permanently stuck in hillside assist, so no power steering. What a bunch of lame people. I've tried calling Ford customer care for months also. No luck. Don't even pull into this place. It's not worth your time. read more

The part center sucks. Extremely overpriced! Each time you need a part look it up on Amazon, Ebay or search for it locally in auto part shops. They don't even have the knowledge! They don't even have the basic parts everything has to be ordered and they will 'fine' you with high shipment costs. A truly American shop: give us your money, we torture you afterwards. I had ordered a part for my Ford Edge 3 months ago & told them that I'd return later so they confirmed that they'd do so. I called a week ago & it hadn't been ordered so they immediately put it on order. They told me it would arrive last Tuesday & called me to confirm they had received it & scheduled an appointment for today 6/22 so "come on down." I drove 45min from Kamuela early & Waited! After 1hr 15nin they told me that had the wrong part! What? It took them 75min to determine that they had the wrong part after I left home at 6:30am?? So, they said they would reorder another correct part & to come back next Friday! I'm screwed & have to pay $6.50 gal = 6gal or $40.00!!. read more

Traveled from Hilo to Kona, for a mini staycation. The night I arrived to Kona, 3 lights came on on the dashboard. I was worried it wouldn't be safe driving back home to Hilo, let alone drive around in Kona. From then I was SO bummed out. I thought it was a big problem that could probably take a couple days to fix & also cost big money. The next morning I called to make an appointment to have the car checked out. I spoke to a nice lady named Maka. Long story short, the soonest they were gonna be able to do it was on Thursday. We had to depart from Kona back to hilo on Weds. I hung up with Maka. She told me she would call me back. She did & some how they were able to squeeze me in for an appointment that very same day! They were able to fix it & for a reasonable price. Orchid Isle Ford has had my truck for a recall since 9/22/2021 . Transmission lead frame has been replaced twice .Went to pick up the truck when I put it in gear it wont move .Ford said we need to diagnose it, then they called back a few weeks later 10/20/21 that it would be 3500.00 to fix ! Is this a scam ?Truck was running fine except the issue with the lead frame ,speedo would go to zero and trans would stay in the gear it was in.Turn off the ignition and turn back on it would run fine for awhile then the same issue would happen .Numerous inquires to Ford complaint line no response from Ford and Orchid isle .Truck has 68k miles trans should not be an issue with that mileage.I dont rough up my truck ...I hope this issue gets resolved soon I need my truck back! read more

Great place to come if you need your car repaired . They are honest and kind , I thought I needed my wheel bearing replaced however it wasnt that at all . Instead it was something totally different. The tech was honest and didnt try to up sale me or try to get more money for something else ,. First of all they are total RIP OFFS!! Dont return customer calls, or even keep them update of what is happening. Very unprofessional. They charged $280 plus dollars to just diagnose (not fix) a AC issue. Then just say oh they have to call around for the part..its obsoleted! Nothing is ever obsoleted. Its a 2005 lincoln..clown shit! Yes stay the hell away from this rip off clowns!! They keep your vehicle for half the day then charge you like if they were working on your car all day..short story long..better off finding a good backyard mechanic..guarans get the job done for a better price!! I do not like the company policy on special orders where I got burned by them when they did not back take unopen package of motorcraft brake rotors so I am stucked with extra set of brake rotors worth of $280 . Recently had to have work done on my vehicle. Mind you it is older, a 1999 Mercury Mountaineer. Has no a/c other than windows rolled down. Had to take in because was overheating. Cost almost $1400 for repair. Problem is that when I picked it up and paid the $1382.50, the Windows wouldn't go down and Orchid Isle Ford wouldn't fix it. Working when it was towed in. Not working when I picked it up. Now I drive 35 miles to work each way with NO A/C and NO WINDOWS. read more

After having a security light come on and my car not starting up right away I took my Ford in to get it fixed. First they changed out the keys with a few other parts and gave it back. That didn't work, then they changed out another part, that didnt work.. then another then another. well 1,000 dollars later and weeks of my life without a car I was told by Jack the service manager that my best bet would be to sell my 2008 ford escape that I bought brand new. He also said things like "well what do you want, me to just give you back the money on parts and labor that didn't fix the problem? that's not happening." and "you're lucky it's ran for this long." He also told my husband I was lying about being stranded in parking lots for an hour sometimes at a time. Now I'm left with a car that leaves me stranded most places I go and no solution from our local ford. Great job Jack at Orchid Isle for months of tears and endless promises.
