While I was waiting at the church, she texted me saying that the stylist had admitted that she did not know what she was doing, and had already reached out for help to two other stylists. The result was that my love arrived for our special day stressed, upset, and lacking the confidence boost we had hoped this simple styling would bring her to begin her most important day. Nobody at the salon offered her any apology or offer of discount, etc. I emailed the salon management with the story and received no reply, so that is why I am sharing it here as my only, feeble recourse.

After being given the job, she was shown how to correctly wash hair & assumed to work on other skills she had learned at school per her hiring instructions. She had worked there since September and that was the only skill she worked on (besides washing towel, cleaning the salon, mopping, etc.). After Christmas break she was very sick, but does not call off. She was going to high school and holding 2 jobs (her own choice). She received a text message from the owner asking to meet with her after school her next shift, so she went to work and waited to speak with Kellie, the Owner. She was told she was being let go because the boss could tell she was "whooped" after a long day at school. NO WARNING, NO STRIKE 1, just YOUR FIRED. Her other job cannot rave about her hard work enough for her age. She rarely calls off & has a positive attitude at work. As a business owner myself, these are not practices I live by nor would I recommend treating staff this way. My daughter was crushed when I reached out and was told she was basically lazy. She is 16, it was your job to give her guidance and explain how things work in the salon. After speaking with many stylist friends, owners, teachers, we are appalled at how this was handled. Not a great way to shape the minds of our children's futures.

That was so unprofessional and rude I can't even get over a business that would EVER treat a potential customer like that. I will never go to them
