This started part 2 of the ordeal of dealing with both Allstate and this office in particular. Having notified them of my cancellation, they informed me I needed to send them something in writing saying I wished to cancel. I complied. After that, I received phone calls, emails and letters saying I had an outstanding balance on an policy I had terminated. Now, MONTHS later, I'M STILL receiving letters after calling them on numerous occasions. At this point, I have no choice but to make sure no one else makes the same mistake of choosing this agent as their home or auto insurer. UPDATE: After considerable effort to argue my case, Davenport sent me to collections for money she claimed was owed because they failed to cancel the policy when I requested. Instead, she waited until the policy auto-terminated due to non-payment so she could squeeze a few more dollars out of a disgruntled former client. After AGAIN going through both Allstate's corporate offices and now the collections agency, I filed a formal complaint with the Illinois Department of Insurance. Only through that action was this issue finally resolved. PLEASE beware when doing business with this office, it will be an exhausting fight should you ever decide to cancel.
