Here's what happens: The cover tears in the wind and your cushions get soaked. You've had the covers for two seasons, but you think, they should have lasted longer than that. You go to the store and ask if they're in stock. The minute you hint that one tore, the manager changes his demeanour. You show him a photo and he says well you've had those for a while because they've lost their colour. He shows you a dark grey cover and you say, they were never grey, we bought them and they were beige. He says, that's weird, I don't get that. You say, ya, me neither. He has to special order the love seat cover. You don't ask for a replacement, you ask for a discount because you get that you've gotten two seasons out of them and it's not fair to have them give you brand new ones. The manager says they need the original receipt. You say, I bought it all online during covid curbside so we should be in the computer. He repeats, we need the original receipt. I walk out. He says, do you want me to order these. I say, sure. The he says, we need a deposit. I say, forget it. I had no intention of going back. I have no intention of going back. You should either. From start to finish our experience was horrible. We picked them up during the height of covid and EVERYBODY took their masks off when they went behind the desk. While checking out, I watched a salesperson eating a messy burrito, licking her fingers and using the computer. It was bananas. They still have their recommended mask sign on the door, which is hysterical!! Go to Lowes. Go to Home Depot. Go to Costco. Go anywhere, but DO NOT GO TO .DOT PATIO FURNITURE.

It turns out the company blocked me from their social website for indicating discrimination under the Ontario Human Rights Act. They discriminate potential customers based on age and status. They discriminate potential customers wearing COVID-19 masks and follow the customer in and around their showroom without acknowledging their presence. They dismiss potential customer inquiries all together and do not conduct the necessary follow ups as indicated by the customer. I visited their showroom at the end of 2023 requesting for a writing desk with specific dimensions. As a result, the associate or owner I conversed with insisted he would follow up regularly. All communication ties were cut after my initial visit and made a conscientious effort to stay in touch with them. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ORGANIZATION TO THE COMMON CUSTOMER. CLEARLY, THEY DESIRE SPECIFIC CUSTOMERS SUCH AS INTERIOR DESIGNERS AND THEIR CLIENTELE. There are many inspirational layouts within the store and when we were looking for an entertainment unit they were more than happy to show us other options available that were not offered in the store. I ordered a bookshelf based on dimensions posted on their website, but after spending hours assembling the shelf, it turns out that the depth dimension of the bookshelf was at least 2 inches off. This is a real problem for me, because I now have other furniture that can no longer fit in the space that I planned for them in my small condo. For a retail business catering to urban homes, this is clearly unacceptable. In addition, there were issues with the delivery. The bookshelf was delivered in various generic, largely-unmarked brown boxes. They were so generic, that they mistakenly included a small table from another order. They called me back for it but have still failed to follow up on picking up this table. So now, when (who knows when) they finally come for it, I have to again take time off to be available at home, and arrange for reservations of the freight elevator etc. etc. I would like to return the item but the thought of taking apart this large bookshelf and returning it is just a nightmare. I am frustrated and unhappy with my whole experience with them, very disappointed!
