It is filled with good light, good music, & good smells. Yes, of course, it is a store. They have meticulously curated their collection of stones & crystals, jewelry, bulk herbs & homemade incense, books, pendulums, candles, & more. However - what makes The Veiled Crow stand out (& why I am confident in saying that it's one of my favorite places in Rhode Island) is that it's an EXPERIENCE. Both Loren & Tracey are masters of their craft & are so willing to share their precious knowledge with anyone who asks. That's the key, though. You have to ask. "What herb should I make tea with if I want vivid dreams?" "What incense should I burn if I am grieving?" "Which stone should I keep in my pocket if I am anxious?" or even just "Where do I begin?" Both Loren & Tracey are profound, intuitive, & engaging. Don't be intimidated; there's no prerequisite for being there & they don't judge. They listen, they ask questions, & they explain everything in layman's terms. They help you to find what exactly it is that you're looking for - even if that's just an open heart to talk to. I have no doubt that they are doing exactly what they are meant to be doing with The Veiled Crow. Just a bit more about the physical space: In the back of their new space is a gorgeous gallery room in which they display local art & hold their workshops. They display new art each month! There is also a smaller room in which private readings take place. It looks cozy & inviting. The bookshelf is an organized collection of essentials, novelties, & this & that. I will admit that if you asked me five years about tarot, I would give some ignorant answer about how it's wacky and "out there," but I now recognize it was just too far out of my sphere of comfort and recognition. I eventually got there. Had this tarot reading occurred five years or more ago, I would assume Brittany was in contact with Jeff Bezos or my personal NSA agent. Now that I have more understanding, nope... it still doesn't make it any less eerie. Brittany's readings aren't generalized. They're not the gimmicks you'd get at a carnival side-show in a sitcom, "I see a man. He has black, no brown, no red... wait back to brown. Brown hair! And he's your fa-grandfa-BROTHER!" The experience you will have with Brittany will be nothing like that. Sidenote, we are cousins, BUT she described recent events in my life we have never before discussed, and perfectly depicted people she has never met before, and I was getting chills. Brittany was able to do my reading from over 2500 miles away, and was super quck about it, with pictures and text being sent in real time. I've included pictures of some of the cards pulled. She additionally pulled a second set of cards that I am not super familiar with, and gave her interpretation of them, and an angel card deck. After the super in-depth analysis and spellbinding process, I was also given recommendations on what to pay attention to day-to-day going forward, and given recommendations about specific meditations to use in the morning and at night, and a crystal to begin carrying around. At one point, we were also discussing soup (unrelated to the tarot reading), and now I have a delicious keto soup recipe that I plan to use in the near future. Seriously, if you're still reading this and trying to decide whether you should work with Brittany, just go do it! Your intuition already brought you this far, and I've already sung plenty of praises, which should be evidence enough. Also, fun fact, Brittany is related to the family which The Conjuring was based off of.
