Crowns look great, but what's underneath doesn't…read more After their initial root canal and crown (done wrong), I ended up with a year-long infection that eventually required an apicoectomy and then a full root canal redo by an endodontist -- who was shocked they had let it go so long (more than a year) and hadn't caught, on imaging, that the entire root canal seal had failed and was leaking. Right after the crowns were placed more than a year ago, I called them in urgent pain -- but they didn't answer for a full week because of "phone issues." In desperation, I went to a 24/7 dentist who misdiagnosed me. When they finally answered the next day, I went back because they knew my case and I didn't want to risk losing my new crowns. They loaded me with antibiotics, did the apicoectomy, and gave me a free bottle of "fairy dust" mouthwash, assuring me that time would help. It didn't. They could have caught this much earlier with proper imaging like an MRI and a timely referral to an endodontist. Instead, it was delay after delay, unnecessary procedures, and more pain than I should have endured. I will not be returning. I paid a lot of money for a nice crown with a hole in it.

The dentist is painless, at least that's my experience. I've been going there for some 20 years. I recommend it to anybody. I just had a cap installed on a titanium post today and it went so well. No adjustments necessary like I've had to deal with in the past with other dentists. It all went so quickly. Overhead TVs, if you get bored. Wi-Fi. All of the modern equipment is being used. Amazing how advanced their treatments are.

I had three crowns placed at this office and have experienced ongoing problems since the procedure…read more Issues I experienced after the crowns were placed include: -Pain when chewing (especially nuts or gum on the left side) -Bite changes where my teeth now catch in ways they did not before treatment -Crowns contacting other teeth in a way that chipped a natural tooth and a previously placed crown due to the rubbing against the crowns placed by this office -Open spacing near the gumline between crowns where food consistently gets trapped -A crown shape and color that do not match my natural teeth, despite discussing this with the office beforehand -Food sticking to the chewing surfaces, which was not an issue before the crowns were placed I reported these concerns during follow-up visits and raised them again at my last appointment. However, the issues were not addressed, and I was told they would be handled if I returned to have an additional crown placed. After I left a one-star review, Dr. Allred asked that I contact the office as if my concerns had not already been clearly communicated in person. I have had routine checkups and cleanings at other dental offices following my treatments at Velux and was never told that the additional tooth they recommended for a crown required that level of treatment. In fact, I had never even been told that the tooth needed a filling. I have since been informed that one of the crowns may need to be replaced because it does not make proper contact with the adjacent tooth. Because of these issues, I have sought care elsewhere and will be replacing the crowns placed by this office. Since my dental insurance already paid for the crowns placed here, I will now have to pay out of pocket for the replacements. I would not recommend this dental office.

The face feels more like an elaborate laboratory where we are all the guinea pigs. They're not real dentists or orthodontists. These are people that will clean your teeth or fill a cavity and put fake braces on your teeth. However, if you have any real issues with your teeth you need to go someplace else and they are happy to make you referrals. They use a brand similar to Invisalign called sure smile. The price that was quoted to me was $3,900 but I believe you can get it done much cheaper at other places.

For starters, it was during the electionand he went off on conspiracy theories and voter fraud when I couldn't respond nor had I even started a political conversation. It was kind of weird and socially inappropriate. On one occasion when I came for my appointment, he was taking a little snooze behind the front desk person. I found that very unprofessional. Why not go into a private office for a rest instead of making us feel worried that you are sleeping on the job in between patients? But I ignored all that because the Groupon was a good deal and I thought I was getting good care. A few years later and I have had multiple dentists x ray and tell me how badly done my implant and my crown are. The crown had an overhang that was causing gum recession. The implant is not in straight, not well seated, and smells like decay by the end of almost every day. I have to floss super well every night or it gets worse. The crown recently came off and there is decay underneath so I'm glad that it came off and I'm having a vetted and trusted, albeit more expensive, dentist redo the crown and do it right this time.

I'm a perfectionist and follow the simple code "If you can't say something nice..." but after several months of repeated and wonderfully successful experiences, my conscience requires that I let others know about the much more than exceptional service I've enjoyed with Jared Theurer DDS and the rest of his team, particularly the Dental Hygienist LeeAnn Burton. I lived with several dental issues, including over a year of very annoying to miserably sharp pain. I had within a single month, seen four dentists attempting to resolve the pain issue alone; all to absolutely no avail. Out of exhausting frustration I finally decided to chalk it all up to the aging process, figuring I'd probably have to live with it till my last breath, which hopefully is a long time away. My wife had always raved about her dentist and was rather bewildered as to why I refused to go see him. But as I stated, I had already seen four dentists, expensive ones, 'how could seeing this dentist possibly be any different?' Yet, after months, when it came time for a routine cleaning and exam, I simply went to my wife's dentist. They were comprehensive. We started talking, really communicating. They listened and asked questions and within that single visit alone, the cause of the pain was not only discovered, but RESOLVED!!! Somehow, what four expensive Park City dentists could not see was recognized and my pain was history! This was more than 6 months ago and not a single pain since! No root canal, just an insightful adjustment to repair what had not been correctly done by one of the pricier dentist in Park City. Then they continued, exploring some of my other concerns and their earnest desire to really look into my overall well-being and oral care led to great success, resolution and my personal health. I truly appreciate these people, the humility and the genuine care they give their patients. The quality of their work inspires me and that's why I've taken the time to write this review.
