Based on my personal experience, I bitterly regret ever doing business with this company. They sent the wrong specs for the landing area, so while their installers waited half a day, our general contractor had to completely gut the cement they'd laid out and re-do it. They installed a vertical enclosed lift that, contrary to everything they'd promised, had no ventilation and no way to reach anyone if it broke down with someone in it. They sent the wrong room, then replaced that with yet another wrong roof - and failed to install that one correctly! We only discovered that last part during the hurricane two months ago when the roof blew off and could have killed someone. We had some issues with the lift itself and the company did not return calls for weeks and weeks. When we finally got a repair person sent out, he said he'd never worked on a Garaventa enclosed lift before and had no idea how to fix it. There was ONE person there, eventually (this after more than a year of bad service), who did know about the elevator, but he was either fired (probably for competence) or left in frustration. The service was so bad that even though we'd bought an extended warranty (portions of which they refused to honor regardless), we managed to get the company to add on an extra year of warranty because they'd been unreachable for the first year. A YEAR. When we went to try and take out another year, they sent a contract giving them the right to raise the price of the warranty every single year - with no warning, and no recourse, and no limit. We refused to sign it. The final straw was when Hurricanes Helene and Milton came through and the elevator was damaged. They refused to even come out and assess the damage, declare it unfixable (so we could try to collect some insurance) or fixable (and fix it) unless we signed a four year extended warranty. RIP OFF! $1400 for 40 minute repair after waiting over 2 months. Salesman said the estimate would be adjusted if it took less time which it did. After several phone calls and emails billing person said it's a set rate, total cost $1400, part cost $600 so I guess their labor rate is $800 an hour? Find another company if you need repairs done read more

This company does not know how to install elevators. Newly installed elevators keep on breaking down. elevator they intalled have issues such as completely stop working, sudden drop, squeak noise all the time. I have to hire another elevator company to fix the newly installed elevator in order to use them. read more

If I can give this place a negative 10 star I would. The manager Bart and his associate Karen are very unprofessional people to deal with. Both don't know what they are doing, they wasted my entire month of December 2020 sending unprofessional technicians who don't have any idea what they are doing, at least five times, let alone they have scammed me for $2,000 and my elevator is still not fixed. I am reporting this to BBB and were ever else I can report this company Genesis. I am a business owner also and you DO NOT treat your customers like that and the best of it all when I called 12/29/20 the manager bart says we do not need to do Buissness together . They had good reviews but we have not been satisfied at all using them . We had someone come to the house to take measurements and placement opening of elevator doors . Then didn't make the correction when ordering the elevator. It took 3 to 4 weeks to get back into the production cycle but now forget to order the mandatory gate . This will push it back further . It was supposed to be done in October and we are looking at January . This whole thing could be avoided if they had correctly manufactured the cabinet the first time. Very poor communication internally and externally. We still have contract work that is waiting to be done after inspection. This is definitely delaying the cycle in completely the house . read more

I signed up for their elevator service agreement at $399 per year for a two year contract. However I did not read the fine print. The contract price goes up after the first of the year. Never would have thought this since I'm in a contract, so basically you sign a contract saying that you are locked into this company for two years and they can raise the price to whatever they want the second year luckily it was only 5%. Instead of them contacting me to set up the inspection, they sent an invoice for a site visit that was never completed. I will be sending them a certified letter to cancel my contract (required per the contract) otherwise it will continue for another two years. I would never recommend this company, unless you modify the contract. read more

This is the worst company I have dealt with. They do not send you a bill for a year, and bill you randomly. When you cancel your contract, they still bill you. Do not take them. They are horrible. I will have to get a lawyer to settle this. read more

Genesis is no different from any other elevator company. They make all the promises in the world and fail to follow through. They have yet to meet any deadline I've heard of the their project management is sub par. read more

On January 30th, I entered into contract with this company for a residential elevator installation. the good news: the elevator is now installed and operational. Now for the bad news: The contract lead time presented by Genesis for project completion was 8-9 weeks. The installation process was not completed until June 8th; twice as long as the contractual lead time. Most of the delay was due to a build out mistake on the part of Genesis. While I understand that human error can occur in any circumstance, I cannot condone the terrible customer service that ensued. Genesis was completely remiss in keeping me informed about the delay and about giving me updates on a new delivery date. Their attitude was "these things happen" and "the matter is out of our hands." Project updates only occurred if and when I asked for them, and then came mostly from the sub contractor Restoration Consulting (a company that I would highly recommend). When I asked for an adjustment in the price to make up for the inconveniences that I had experienced (both orally and in writing) I was told that this would not happen, and furthermore, if I didn't come up with the full balance due, that they would not make the elevator operational until I did! Here's another warning: want to use a credit card? Oh, they will take a card alright; as long as you pay a 3% service fee! C'mon Man!! Genesis did offer me free service for one year, but that's as far as they would go toward making amends. I cannot recommend this company to anyone seeking a new elevator. read more
