However I did not receive the card in the mail until September after I had to call them because I received a billing statement but never got the card in the mail. Once I finally got the card they blocked it immediately after I activated it and tried to pay a bill. I called to find out why and I was then told "Identification verification was needed" and that they needed me to send a copy of my ID but you can only send it by fax or snail mail. I was then told that it will take 14 days from the time they received it. I called again today since it has been a little over 14 days and was told its still under verification. I asked to speak to a manager who was also completely useless. I asked if I could speak to a manager of the department who does the verification and she said they don't handle these types of calls. My response was "They don't handle calls about something only their department handles" This company gives off scam vibes. It should not take almost 4 months to get a credit card account up and running. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!!!!! read more

Zero stars!!!!!! I have had my account for over 4 years with great usage and carrying no balance monthly. I called and spoke to representative Brittany (with a baby cryimg in the background), and was told the annual fee of $99 would not be waived until I closed the account. They do not allow for credit increases, so my $300 credit limit and 29.90% APR was a joke. It was great to start building my credit back up, but there is no benefit to keeping this card. I closed the account and will be very wary of any Genisis FS cards in the future. My suggestion, is to look for credit cards that will automatically increase your credit line with timely payments over a period of 3 to 6 months. STAY AWAY FROM GENISIS!!!!!!!! read more

I got this credit for dental work I was undergoing. I received a $3,000 credit limit. When I used my credit limit, my payments started at $225 a month. When I went below their documented Terms of Service, i.e., $3000 or Greater, minimum payment is $225 per month. When I fell below that threshold after the first payment, my payment did not adjust to their terms, i.e., $2000 - $2999.99, minimum payment should have dropped to $145 per month. I contacted them on 7/7/2022, I was a told that I would receive a refund of $320 for the months of 3/22 - 6/22 due to an overpayment of $80 for those months. Upon waiting and then ultimately never receiving the refund. I called again only to be told that I was required to continue to pay them the $225, which also meant that I was continuing to pay interest on the original $3000 amount. I doubled my payments so I could get out from under this sham of a company. read more

Garbage Company full of Fraud and Illegal activities. Literally woke up this morning to a -28 credit score hit from this credit card company that I've never even heard of let alone applied. Apparently their cards are for people with terrible credit and not people like myself who previously had a credit score of 802. Their customer service is full of barely English speaking individuals that answer 1-800-583-5698 with Hello, refusing to transfer me to a supervisor and then just hanging up on me. When I called back requesting to speak with the fraud department the phone was given to a woman that pretended to be a fraud investigator but when I asked for her job title she literally stated that she is a customer support representative. She immediately realized she wasn't caught in her lie and hung up. So, now I have filed complaints with The FTC, Oregon and Utah State Attorney General's offices. I'm currently writing reviews everywhere possible on the Internet. People please check your credit reports, Concora Credit will allow anyone to fill out a credit application without any verification and it puts a hard inquiry on your credit file. You will also need to file a local police report because TransUnion will need that for the dispute. I sincerely hope Concora Credit and First Electronic Bank aka FEB/Destiny goes bankrupt and insolvent. Everyone loses their jobs, especially those in customer service. read more

Worst credit card company, their Indigo card, denied a PayPal Cash card payment, that had over thousand dollars in it, then cancelled my card for suspicious activity!!! When I called they said they don't take payments from a debit card, that it has to have a routing and account number, which my PAYPAL CASH card HAS!!!! All PayPal accounts have a routing and account number!! Terrible!! I even paid the return payment and the $10.15 balance I had and they still cancelled my card, I always paid my bill BEFORE due date IN FULL!!! I received credit from these ppl for Raymour and flannigan, was told that I have 1 year no interest payment. I've been making monthly payments more than the minimum to pay off before the year. Next thing 7 months into a see I got charge $330 in interest. Like Wth. I called they told me they don't offer 1 year only 6 month's interest free. I went and looked at my offer from these ppl and there is nothing listed about 6 month's interest free. I refuse to pay anymore let them send me to collections. Worst ever! read more

One of the worst companies ever! Everything bad everyone saying is true. The customer service is the worst! They lost my one if my accounts, could find it in their systems. Like how? Told me to call wayfair, wayfair said to call Geniuses..... no one could figure anything out. $2500 acount just seems to not be there.... um.... But they sure did call me to tell me there was a past due payment of $15 and still couldn't find my account or provide me with account information. The lady then closed my account with out me asking for it to be closed, like you've got to be joking... I'm so done with them I immediately paid and closed both of my other accounts. After using the Kay's Jewelr credit card to upgrade my wedding set, I always made payments on time, and had no complaints. Then I decided to pay off what I owed once I received my tax returns about 1 year later. Then about a week after the money was pulled out of my account, I decided that For my anniversary, it was time my husband got the upgrade and tried to purchase a new wedding band for him. Turns out I GAVE THEM TOO MUCH MONEY at one payment....Can you believe it? They put my card on a hold for 14 days (at first), then when my card still wouldn't work, I called back and they said it would have to be on hold even longer- missing my anniversary. She tried to get her manager to lift the hold, but he wouldn't...capable but wouldn't. They do not care about their customers, or their money apparently, and will punish you for paying what you simply owe. read more

theives! they took $400 out of my bank account (destiny card )instead of $200, stated that it wasn't them so I call my bank to get my money back, then they reversed the charge and says I didn't pay them. where is the other $200, they got it but keep denying it and it's on my bank statement. they stick together and read notes to keep saying the same thing, so I contact my bank for the other $200, and they go to my milestone card and reverse payment from there and add $200 over limit fee plus other charges as well. credit limit from $700 to $950. They took off 2 fees and on the destiny card too determined to get this $400 from me. credit limit on milestone card is $300 now $498. now I have been making payments and the balance never goes down, so I look into into it, why have they been charging me late fees every month and still taking my payment amongs other charges too? card limits are still the same till this day read more

Genesis has had absolutely horrible customer service. They recently took over as the credit/financial service for Kay's Jewelers and when the merge took place, we were not notified and our automatic payments stopped coming out. They did not call us, email us or send us any form of information regarding the change. We were then notified that our account was past due and my husband's credit was severely damaged as a result. We have tried to work with them over the last month to get this corrected and have them fax us the correct paper to show the amount was paid,that we were not at fault..yet they still have yet to do so. We are trying to buy a home and they are not cooperating at all. read more

I've had my credit card for almost a year the last couples Genesis has reported my payment as late and it wasn't late. It dropped my credit score down 85 plus points. In July I called and wrote a letter that my payment wasn't late I was told they didnt report that because it has to be 30 days before it's late. So because they day they report falls on the day they report my payment reports late and it brings my credit card utilization down so it drops my score. I've had at least two times when my credit score affected a decision for me to purchase some. This company doesn't care. I was told to either make my payment sooner or deal with what happens. This card was one that was to help build credit but it's not. read more

If I could give NO STARS I would. Specifically, all FM Jewelers use Genesis FS Card Services. First of all, nobody informs you about the tactics of this finance company, you have to figure it out for yourself. There is no integrity with Genesis and apparently FM is ok with their financing company as they let this go on. FM will post items for sale where you get "90 days or 6 months interest free" on your purchase. That is ONLY if you don't have a balance that you are paying off. Your payment, regardless of how you think your payment is divided up, E.g. you send a payment of $50. That payment is split up into interest, your payment on your past due and nothing toward 6 mth interest free. You actually have to send a second payment in to apply for it to go toward your promotion only. Which it never does and nobody clarified that at all before purchasing the promo item. Shame on FM and shame on their financing company's falsification of all new "special" no interest promotions. I paid my card off completely and my card expired 7/21. Genesis actually had the gall to charge me interest on NOTHING...a zero balance. When I told her my card expired, she lamely said "oh, didn't you get the replacement card we sent you?" NO I did not. And if you had, I would have shoved it where the sun doesn't shine. She then threatened me with " you know this closure will go on your credit?" I said sternly bring it on. I'm not afraid of our credit reporting bureaus, which are as devious and horrible as Genesis FS. Buyer beware on both FM Jewelers and especially Genesis FS. Genesis FS is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. They call you if you are just one day late. They are terrible with communicating. I had a Kay Card that I have had for years. I have always made my payments on time, but was unemployed for awhile. When I finally got a job, I noticed that I could still make payments on my Kay card through the Kay website. I finally caught up all of my payments then I found out that my card was closed a month ago. I had made all of my payments because I was planning on buying my girlfriend a gift from Kay. I was a little upset when I found out that my account was closed at first, but after I thought about it for awhile, I am happy that I will no longer have to deal with Genesis FS. I will definitely be staying clear away from them going forward. read more

I've had a Kay Jewelers account for 10 years and I have never once made a late payment. I had set up for the payment to be drafted out of my account for the wrong date, so it bounced. Which is my fault. However 5 days later; they tried to run payment again causing me to get two over draft fees. When I contacted Genesis they advised me they only ran payment once and that they would not have ran payment a second time if it did not go through. I spoke with 3 different people after that and they all stated the same thing. Today they call me and I go over everything again, they transfer to a supervisor. The supervisor gets on the phone and tells me I was miss informed and there is nothing they can do. They wouldn't even credit my account the $35 over draft fee. I asked them to close the account and she did not have a care in the world to even attempt to change my mind. Horrible customer service. Also in the past I was told to close the account I would have to go in to Kay Jewelers with a notarized letter stating I wanted to close the account? The interest rates are insane and it really is tragic, I never had so many issues or such bad service until they took over Sterling. My payment are $111 a month and they take $48 of interest out of that every month. It's crazy. read more

We post dated 3 payments not knowing that they changed their policy on accepting business payments, so they did not accept our 2nd post dated payment and allowed it to go 30 days delinquent before calling us ? We immediately paid it and they refuse to correct the 30 days late! When we have had Kay Jewelers for over 8 yrs. plus? Not once ever being late. I opened an account with Genesis FS when purchasing furniture at Value City. I made all my payments on time and paid off the balance. I was keeping the account open because I am purchasing a new house in March and wanted to buy more new furniture. Today I notice on my credit bureau report that the account shows closed and my credit score dropped 16 points. I call Genesis to see why the account is closed and the customer service agent told me it was due to inactivity. I explained to her that I wanted to use the account to purchase new furniture once my new house is finished and she told me that I could reapply. I explained that I don't want to have my credit dinged again with a new inquiry and that no one told me it was being closed. She said it's company policy to close the account after it is inactive 2 or 3 months. I told her that keeping the account open was not going to do anything except make Genesis more money and if she checked she would see that I was an excellent client. The agent, as if reading off a script, just said that the contract that I signed says the company may close the account at anytime without notice. This is an absurd way to treat an excellent client. I really could could less about using this particular company again as it would be to my benefit to use one of my cash back credit cards with a lower interest rate - I was just willing to continue to use them because I don't want any changes that effect my credit because of getting a new mortgage. But whatever Genesis - you obviously don't want my money so to another company it goes. I will never buy from another store (and there are many of them - Kay Jewelers, Ashley Furniture and Value City to name a few) that supports this type of customer care. read more

This card is a joke! My fiancé and I have had this card for 8 months now and always made payments on time. Payments were also at least $30-$40 more than the minimum payment due. Out of nowhere with no communication on Kay's end they closed the account and when asked why the simply stated that upon review of credit they decided to close the account. I've NEVER heard of anything like this EVER. Customer service had no explanation and seemed clueless about their own process. Save your time and money and don't even bother with this company or sketchy credit credit services.
