I called several home care providers who told me it would take as many as five days to find care givers. I needed someone to drive me home and begin care the next day. We Care could provide what I needed. They helped me complete the necessary forms, line by line. I was extremley anxious about being home. Diane and Sonia were able to support and encourage me through my anxious moments. They provided both physical and emotional support as I adjusted to being home. In addition, all my laundry was done, my bed changed, dishes washed, and my meals were prepared. They both went "above and beyond". I valued their companionship as I adjusted to being on my own. They became like surrogate family members, and I appreciate their caring and kindness above all.

Whether I needed urgent care, routine services, or an overnight stay, everything was handled in one place, which has been incredibly convenient. I've used their urgent care many times over the years and even stayed overnight on a few occasions. Each time, the care was very cost‑effective for both me and the facility. Like any medical center, there were occasional issues, but in my experience they were unintentional and addressed quickly once brought to their attention. I've always appreciated that responsiveness. The building itself is consistently clean and feels secure, which gives me peace of mind whenever I'm there. The parking garage is another plus -- plenty of spaces, easy to navigate, and never a hassle. Overall, I've had a reliable, positive experience here for a long time. No complaints.

The doctor in this department seems to disregard your health, I am very disappointed with the health care received. If I could rate less than zero I would. Healthcare provider seems to be more concern with quantity instead of quality care. Within the last two weeks I have emailed numerous of times and no response from my doctor in chronic pain management at Kaiser Permanente in South Baltimore or Lutherville centers. I can only state "the worst" . When you try to schedule an appointment you can never get an appointment less than 2 to 3 months out why should patients that are paying their monthly premiums have to wait 2 to 3 months to get an appointment especially if you have chronic health issues or you're being told there's no doctor at that center that specializes in your health concerns or available 4 months out. I have considered Open season to change my health plan I've had enough I'm feeling as though patients do not come first. I rate a zero

Because it is important to me to be fair, barring a reason not to I try to start with the positive…read more Many of the home care nurses at Chesapeake are part-time and have other full time jobs usually in nursing. More than a few of those nurses were very good. Because of the actions and nastiness of the management, if it were possible to give zero stars, I would not hesitate to do so. I understand that we are in the midst of Corona but that does not excuse the Director of Nursing making rude, nasty comments to me as a patient, nor does it excuse her openly disagreeing with my physicians who ordered my home infusions of IV antibiotics. Corona does not excuse Dr. LeDonn's failure to get back to me. I sent an email to LeDonn's attention. When my email was not answered, I was told by a staff member who's name I did not get: "The doctor is an elderly gentleman who mostly works from home. We don't like to bother him unless we have to." I know that Yelp policy is not to allow the use of last names because servers and retail sales associates are typically identified by their first names. Doctors are typically identified by their last names. I am hopeful that Yelp will consider changing that policy. I have identified a number of outstanding and not so outstanding doctors by last name in other posts. Chesapeake was a contractor for the pharmaceutical company that was in charge if my home antibiotic infusions. Chesapeake was supposed to perform home blood draws, transport blood samples to the lab, and perform pic line maintenance. Chesapeake got a blood sample to the lab very late. The blood sample came back with a Potassium level of 10. I do not work in healthcare, but I am told by multiple doctors and other healthcare providers that a Potassium level of 10 creates a risk for serious heart problems. I was in the process of transitioning care from a Virginia infectious disease practice to a Maryland practice closer to me. Within a span of two hours, I had a voicemail message from a nurse in the Virginia practice, my doctor in the Virginia practice, and a doctor in the Maryland practice telling me to go to the ER immediately due to a high potassium level. The doctor and the nurse in the ER confirmed what the paramedics said on the way to the hospital which is that it was probably a lab error. Someone joked that if my potassium level was a 10 it would be apparent. The lab error occurred because of Chesapeake's failure to get the blood sample to the lab in a timely manner. In fairness to Chesapeake there was inclement weather. The Director of Nursing said that she would not have sent me to the ER, but had the blood redrawn. I told her I was doing what two doctors in separate practices told me to do. I told her if insurance did not pay for the ER visit Chesapeake needed to. She told me going to the ER was a choice. Later, My pic line became clogged and I could not get infusions. My doctors told me not to miss infusions. Chesapeake did not have someone to send over. I went to the ER. My doctors commended me on going to the ER. I spent the night in the hospital's observation unit getting the pic line issue resolved. I told the Director of Nursing that my doctors told me not to miss infusions and that if insurance did not pay for the ER visit Chesapeake needed to. She told me: "We don't have the staff. If you miss infusions, you miss infusions. I would not have sent you to the Emergency Room that was a choice." I encourage everyone to make the choice not to do business with Chesapeake they do not perform as agreed to and the staff are rude and nasty to patients who complain about Chesapeake's performance.
