Please do not go to this clinic for chronic pain. Dr Jafri is only after your money. He would not see me if I did not pay by cash. I have insurance but he said he would file, but still wanted the money first. I was foolish enough to pay $250 for my first visit. I have severe spinal stenosis and I have chronic back pain. On my first visit he prescribed pain medicine for 2 weeks. He would not refill until I saw him again. He told me the next visit he would file my insurance and I would not have to pay another $250. When I arrived, the whole scenario changed. He was requiring me to pay another $250 dollars or he would not see me. He, and his staff lied to me. I am reporting him to the Kansas State Medical Board. I have lived with severe treatment resistant bipolar depression for over 20 years. So, I still haven't been back to his office since April 30th. Got last refills on 5/25 & I weaned myself off. I ended up making a 30/day supply last almost double that. I still was feeling shitty during withdrawals though. I called his office on 7/21 to ask about "possibly" getting another refill. I was told that they'd be happy to get me in for a refill & to do a urine sample & I'd have to pay my balance of around $90 something. I said fine. Then, I'm told that Dr. J isn't going to be writing anymore scripts for opioids! I asked: then, what would be the point in coming back in there!? I mean seriously!? Does anyone there go to work there who "doesn't have their head up their ass!?" So, on 7/23, I get the letter from their office! (See pic) Telling me pretty much that I'm not a patient there anymore! They're telling me in writing what I told them on the phone! I'm NEVER going back as there is NO point! So fast forward to 8/5, I get a call from "I REESHA" (however it's pronounced) telling me: "they sent my records to the clinic I'd requested." (The clinic is a local Chiropractic Clinic who does Medical Marijuana Certifications. I got mine on the day I got that letter; 7/23.) Then, she goes into asking me if there's any way I'd consider removing my reviews?! (Is she serious?!) She tells me that they value me as a longtime patient & would "waive my balance" to get me back in there & that Dr. Jafri WOULD write me a refill if I'd take down my review & come in to do a urine sample. I then told her that I had gone through withdrawals already & was feelin ok. I told her there was no point in doing a sample though since I would have no opioids in my system anymore. She tells me that's their policy! (NO! It's the FDA's policy to make sure patients are taking their meds instead of selling them!) Plus, for every urine sample you do there, you get a separate bill from the lab for about $100 each time with Insurance! So, I then ask her IF I came in; would I have to see Dr. Jafri? I told her the ONLY reason I went there so long is because I always saw Nisa! (Not there anymore!) She tells me that she will check with Nisa about doing a televisit with me. I tell her IF she's able to get Nisa, I'll consider coming in. She says she's going to call me back later that night or Friday. I say ok & that was three business days ago. I knew she wouldn't call back since Nisa isn't there anymore, she woulda never done televisits for his office again! As for the other two pics, they were just found floating out there in cyberspace by a friend of mine & screenshots were made then cause apparently, he had them scrubbed from the internet! Since my call from Genesis three business days ago, Genesis Pain Clinic's Facebook page has removed ALL of the reviews & the option for reviews! They bribe patients I'm sure with money off their bills or "who knows what else" to give them nice reviews on Google (as there are new ones) It is ASTONISHING how horribly several people close to this office have been treated! Dr. Jafri THINKS he can with hold Medical records for payment on bills!!?!? His moral compass is SO far up his ass, he couldn't find it with both hands & flashlight! read more

I visit Dr. Jafri for ketamine infusions. I'd been on maintenance for over a year elsewhere and the last year with Dr. Jafri. Every time I go it's a different experience... my last visit was pretty much it for me though. I went for my usual 8AM appt, they were actually open at 8 when I got there which is unusual. I'm charged $550, up $50 from prior visit a month ago, because of supply chain issues with no communication of the increase. I'm there, so not much choice at this point. Then I'm taken back, and ask for the infusion to include IV fluids like the old practice and my last infusion in December. $225 upcharge. I'm told next time it'll be free. There won't be a next time I don't think, I just feel like a bill item when I'm there. read more

Front desk staff don't have a clue. They don't know what insurance is taken. They claim to go ask the doctor if insurance is accepted. Initially he tells them yes. Then when he calls you back there are $198 copays due- so he says. It's a shady business practice where he seems to want to scam you out of money then says he will help you only when you pay what HE says is due. Since when does a doctor determine billing costs? Dr Jafri gave me an option to relieve the pain in my knee, but I was extremely unhappy at his lack of professionalism when I asked a polite question. When I arrived, they gave me a cup and asked for a urine sample, I was told it was for drug testing which I expected. However, when I opened the little door to put the cup in for them to collect, there were FOUR other cups of urine from other people sitting in there already. When he came to the exam room, I told him I was concerned about all those samples sitting there, as someone could tamper with them. He was extremely sarcastic asking me if they "should have FBI agents to ensure the chain of custody". I told him that I was simply asking why they had been left there instead of retrieved and taken back to where they are packed for shipping to the lab. He then informed me that "he trusted his patients" not to mess with them. If this is for drug testing, why would they leave multiple patient's samples in the collection area, instead of retrieving them when each person is done and securing them to be sent away for testing? There was only one other patient who left when I was in the waiting area, so they had obviously been sitting there for a while. I will definitely NOT be returning to see this doctor. read more

This man tried to corner me in one of his exam rooms and tell me I had to pay cash. I said, give me an invoice/statement and I'll turn into Medicare and/or my supplement insurance. I quote, "No your wife needs to go to an ATM right now and get me $500 cash before I'll start." I was shocked! Doctors don't demand cash from their patients before they do a procedure. A end of August 2017, I went in and had a procedure done for my hip and back. I was told then that my Medicare and supplement insurance covered it all. I had success that lasted 18 hours of no pain. End of September I went back for a second time to have the same procedure done to verify it worked so the third time I could have insurance pay to burn the nerves. You see according to the doctor I have to have two "test" before I can have the nerves burned. So when I arrive I wait 80 minutes in the waiting room. Then his assistant tells me I am scheduled for an injection in my neck. It was discussed the AFTER my hip was fixed that we would work on my neck pain. AFTER, but let's fix one before we start on another. Then it is said I'm in for a lumbar injection and that is covered under insurance but not my hip injection. But if I do the lumbar they can save me money because of the number of needles, etc. and do my hip for cash but I have to pay the cash up front before the procedure. I hit the fan! I asked, "Why isn't this covered under my insurance?" The doctor's reply, " You have Medicare and they haven't paid yet. Besides I gave you a bunch of stuff the first time just to make you happy." I asked if I could see an itemized bill. I was told I could not. He then told me that the procedure was not the same as last time. If I paid $150 to $200 cash that we could charge rest to insurance and proceed. I said my wife has gone to run errands and will not be back for an hour. He said this, seriously, "You can sit here for an hour and after she pays we will do the procedure." I exploded, stood up, pulled the ivy from my arm and asked him to stop blocking the door. That I was walking out. Again I said I wanted all my records mailed to my house. I know everyone in the building herd me. I felt like I had been in a back room getting an getting some dirty coat hanger- illegal medical treatment. Never again. read more

My spouse was crippled by a local surgeon five years and seven surgeries ago. (The last six surgeries were to repair the damage done by the first. They did not.) She has had to rely on RX pain meds for years, and we have constantly been treated like criminals therefore. Pharmacists, physicians, nurses--oh, good lord, especially nurses--treat us like junkies and con artists. Dr. Jafri and his staff have been the first medical professionals outside the Mayo Clinic to treat us with dignity, listen to us, and actually examine the situation rather than leaping to an immediate conclusion (and even within Mayo, too many staff treated us like numbers, not humans). Not all is perfect, but the situation is improving: Dr. Jafri is actually treating my spouse's *condition* as well as her pain. Will her physical improvement continue? There's no way to tell. But simply treating us like honest human beings, and actually thinking rather than simply regurgitating info from an outdated Merck Manual, puts Dr. Jafri in a league far removed from the other alleged "pain specialists" we have seen. read more
