All I needed was a car wash and to use the vacuum. What I got was a hard sell. REALLY hard sell for their monthly membership. When I said no and they asked why, it was just another push and challenging my answer. THAT IS NOT HOW YOU GET CUSTOMERS. They said that for basic wash it would only be a rinse, no soap. Seriously, c'mon. Trying to put fear in the customer is ridiculous. I got the wash. It was brief, but did the job. The vacuums are strong. The rags were surprisingly very damp compared to other car washes. I wondered if they were even clean. Thankfully, I didn't fall for their high pressure sales. And I'm not returning. Long-time member. Will not be returning. A Genie Carwash employee damaged the 3M Ceramic IR tint on my front windshield while attempting to remove a wash activation sticker. That tint cost $430. Their employee acknowledged it on the spot and said it would be taken care of. What followed was a masterclass in how not to handle a customer complaint. The location manager offered an $80 car wash gift card. Corporate called me with a rep who refused to give his name and offered $215, which is half of what I paid. When I said I was going to small claims court, he literally said "go right ahead." I now have a small claims filing, a BBB complaint, and a California Bureau of Automotive Repair complaint all in motion. I have every text message, every photo, and the original receipt. I only noticed on the subsequent charge! I now have no membership number and need to call to cancel but no one answers!!!! read more

Clean, organized, drying towels always available. If you encounter any issues their team is on top of it right away. I go once a week at a minimum. I started by paying monthly at $30 for unlimited washes and vacuuming. Sales guy noticed my frequency and approached me and offered a deal. If I commit to one year, it would be $22 a month. Done. I go to both the Poway and PQ locations. PQ is busier IMO. read more

I tried Genie Car Wash when they first opened because a service worker convinced me to sign up for their $10 promotional subscription, even though I initially said no. I don't wash my car often, but I agreed since they said it was easy to cancel. I later forgot about it and ended up being charged $30. The wash quality itself was disappointing, my car never came out as clean as it does at Soapy Joe's, where I normally go. I decided to cancel on August 11th, well before my renewal date of August 16th, and received a message saying I would get a confirmation email (which I never received). Since canceling, I've continued to get texts and emails pressuring me to update my payment info as if my subscription is still active. Overall, the wash quality isn't great, and the subscription/cancellation process feels frustrating and pushy. If you do decide to sign up, be very cautious with their subscription services. read more

Car owners beware. These operators and owners will leave you hanging if any damage, as a result of there car wash, occurs. Recently, their newly upgraded car wash tore the antenna off of my Toyota Highlander. The manager, Max, retrieved it and said that they would pay to have it replaced. I went to Poway Toyota, got a written estimate and gave it to them on three separate occasion. They just blow you off. After my 3rd attempt with Max, he gave me the owner, Mike's phone number to call. I left 3 messages__no return call, only voice mail. I'm sure I'm not the only one they've blown off. I'm sure they've got some type of liability insurance but refuse to use it. If anyone else out there has been left hanging, leave a message here. Stopped by 7/29/25 - Around 5:30pm Staff was friendly, service was quick, but I have to commend Gail/Gale for going above and beyond. I had a huge paint scuff from a bad parking job and was trying to clean it up after the car wash with a hand towel. Gail/Gale comes out, asks me what happened, then brings out three different spray cleaners and gets to work. In a few minutes, it was all gone! A lovely lady parked next to me had seen him working on it and was also amazed at his work. Huge shoutout to Gail/Gale! Will definitely be coming back! read more

Beware! I will never go back here again. They signed me up for a monthly membership even though I told them I only wanted a single car wash. Not just once, but twice! And they also did it to my husband separately. When I realized it had happened and how many months had passed, I called right away. They made me call the coportoate office to complain against all the charges for months. "Corporate" said they could only offer me a partial refund with some more car washes. The only way I got a full refund was to go to my credit card directly and file a dispute. It's obvious this is their standard/bad business practice!! I recommend you use CASH at car washes. Recommend finding another car wash, As a female i felt extremely uncomfortable by the male staff, also i then encountered a rude associate that deliberately made effort to approach my car to speak to me and at one point i felt a sense of harassment, I had then requested a manager and not only was he extremely unprofessional and did not attempt to deescalate the situation he proceeded to make comments to the employee while staring me down. Not only are the associates unprofessional, but the manager is as well. For the safety of the community i recommend that they are able to find new management that provides a non hostile environment that is safe enough where a woman wont feel like we will be sexual harrashed by their employees.. Also the employees and manager are extremely rude unless you are able to purchase the package car wash from them. 0/10 STARS read more

The machinery damaged my car. When I exited the car wash to go to a stall to dry off and vacuum my car, I noticed that a part from my side view driver side mirror was missing and so was one of my hubcaps. I called an attendant who went inside to look for it and found both items and reattached them for me. I was very upset by the machinery, seeming to be so violently assaulting my vehicle as I went through. I will not go there again. I've been to many drive-through car washes that have never damaged my vehicle. I do not recommend this business.
