I Paid $25 for a car wash, went on to vacuum my car after, and I notice it was bone dry and still dirty. I was annoyed that it still had bird poop and when I touched the car, especially the back of the car and bumper, I could still feel dust and grime, how is that possible? I pulled back around and asked politely for a rewash, was told nope, only for members! The attendant was very polite just doing his job, but the manager who came out was very rude and very abrasive, immediately said what's is the problem? He was acting like I was complaining and making a big deal. I purchased this plan when I lived in National City. Since I've moved to Escondido this location is getting worse and worse every time I take my car in! I find the brushes either work for full service or shorten when there is a rush of cars. The shade canvas has been removed so on hot days your car bakes in the hot sun and you have to work fast to ensure you don't get spots! Well that is if there are towels available to dry your car off! The topper was yesterday! I went to make sure my car was spotless as I was taking some friends out and wanted a clean car! The attendant was no where to be seen to guide my car into the car wash. I had to honk the horn to get his attention. He came out of an office chewing down food. Then.... When I parked there were a very few amount towels! The vacuum cleaner was not working! No suction power at all. I tried to use the air hose and that too had no pressure. I pay for a service that I'm not getting! It seems that it's just this location though! I can go out of my way to San Marcos and there I get the full service I wanted like I had in National City! Yet that makes no sense why I have to go out of my way to get the service I am paying for! First let me just say that I've always been a fan of this car wash. Got to this car wash at 12:10pm March 10th. The car wash did not clean the car entirely but that was not an issue as I could just use the air gun to blow off the suds. Boy was I wrong, the air gun had no pressure. I asked an employee about this and was informed that things had changed and that air needed to be distributed to the blowers and the low pressure was because of this. Superstar! We are paying you 20$ plus a month and this is an issue ? I also asked if my industrial rubber car mats could be sprayed off because they would not go through the car mat cleaner. Was informed that the policy changed as I have been coming to this location for over five years and have had no issue with this. Specials aren't really specials if the equipment doesn't work. There are a plenty of carwash places to choose from in Escondido, and I have been to most if not all of them at one time or another. I was a regular at Escondido Valley Car wash, then at Talk of the Town. Valley was great for the longest time, however sometimes it can be quite long of a wait, which is mostly fine but to have to always go over your vehicle because of so many missed spots is tiresome. Talk of the Town was good for a while, then same thing I would go to leave, and the interior was not touched, or XYZ was not done. Soapy Joe's here in Escondido, was not nearly as good as the one in San Marcos as my vehicle consistently seemed almost as dirty coming out of the wash as going in. SuperStar, as of so far has been great. Sure, there is a wait sometimes, but it's never too too long. They have plenty of stations to vacuum and dry off your vehicle. The wash gets the bulk of the dirt off, and I can either choose to cruise through and not dry depending on my time or dry it off and vacuum. Paying for the monthly pass, makes me go at minimum 2x a month to make sure I "pay for it." Everyone here has been friendly to me, so, so far, so good! read more

A speedy wash that provided impressive results. Overall I was happy with my wash. I usually get my car washed at the shell station off El Norte but the prices keep going up and the line can be over 10 minutes. Their washes weren't that great either. Super Star's wash beats them easily and it's competitively priced. I'll definitely come back, but at night next time. The kids loved the colorful triple foam during the day and it's probably a real cool light show when it's dark. Advantages - No wait, and the wash seemed thorough enough - Strong blower that did a good job getting the water off. - Impressive shine - Included towel and fresh scent strip Disadvantages - They try and sell you on memberships (Just tell them it's your first time and you want to see how good the wash is first) - Need good aim to get on the auto-track - Like with all automated washes, there will always be some water stains and shiny liquid left on your tires. A new car wash in town that currently offers free car washes to everyone as part of its promotional grand opening. While it's free and gets your car clean how can it earn less than five stars? You self clean the interior with powerful long hosed vacuums and then drive through the automated car wash. It's not touch less but then at least being all new machinery you figure that whatever is touching your car is at least clean and not full of scratchy sand. The length of the wash isn't as long as some of the old school automated washes I've been through in Los Angeles but then it's not a really short tunnel like the ones in gas stations either. After passing through you may drive off or go back around to spot dry using their towels. Very smiley friendly staff. Appears that they will be selling monthly unlimited wash memberships after the promotion is over. A car wash isn't going to get your car as clean or shiny as a hand wash and wax, but as long as it's touch less (or at least new with clean brushes and fabric threads touching your car) it won't hurt your car and will do a decent job while saving you time or money. read more

Very poor customer service. My car is low so the license plate is not read correctly. I waited for about 15 people to go ahead of me and I have a monthly membership. I kept waving the men over but they kept waving back at me. I needed to get to work. Then they came over 10 minutes later and the manager started talking about dealing with entitled people. He finally helped me after talking for 5 minutes. For an overpriced car wash that does a crappy job no good. Then the guy waving me in didn't guide me and my car wasn't on correctly. It could have caused damaged. All because of passive aggressive inconsiderate employees with poor customer service. The manager also asked me if I wanted to cancel. Bad. Customer service has gone to other extreme lately and refuse to help people. Blue collar workers are lazy and do a poor job and expect to be paid well and treated nicely. The employees have no clue how to do their jobs. You don't want that kind of carelessness or unawareness directing your car. I waited 5 minutes at the beginning of the car wash to enter because there was no attendant to direct the flow of the drive-in car wash. Then, when I finally did go through, the rinse and the dryer at the end were turned off so I still had suds on the car after the wash. But this car has a monthly membership so it gets unlimited washes for one monthly price. So I went back through, and this time, mid way through the drive-in car wash, 2 cars ahead of me are stopped, so I had to slam on the brakes to not crash into the car ahead of me. When they finally figure out what's going on, they get the three of us out hurriedly and STILL DO NOT TURN ON THE RINSE OR DRYER just to get the three cars out without rectifying the situation. So after 2 washes, I still have suds on the car and I'm not going in for a third. To top it all off, the attendants do not refill the towel areas and the "clean towels" available 6 stalls down are still wet. Which presumably means they take the towels from the "dirty" area and just refold them and think no one will notice. Just icing on the cake for these terrible employees. Do not go here. read more

If there were zero stars I would choose that! Same as some of the other reviews on here. The "district manager" was loading in cars way to close with no gaps and of course, someone hit the breaks for whatever reason and it started a chain reaction of cars getting too close and/or bumping into each other. This is what happened. I got knocked into the truck In front of me a couple times near the end and felt being bumped in the rear, which I pumped my brake to stop from being pushed into the truck more. Once the truck left, I put it into drive and skipped the dry portion so I wouldn't get hit more from behind. Myself and the car behind me filed reports and claims. They identified another truck who started it, we were told they would get a hold of that person and get his insurance info since he was the cause and now I get an email that says the claim has been denied because of driver error and they are not responsible for anything a driver does that causes their bumpers or machines to cause damage. Such BS!! They posted their sign before you enter the wash as "proof" of liability in the email. I've been through that wash plenty of times, I was a member, zero issues but I feel all these things caused the damages. (Employee Loading cars too close to each other and a driver error which led to zero room for error in that case) Now I'm stuck with damages to my vehicle and they wipe their hands like you're a nobody and their "sorries" that don't mean anything. Myself, friends and family have cancelled our memberships and will be going elsewhere. No accountability but they're happy to take your hard earned dollars every month and for each wash for subpar service and you're rolling the dice that your car gets damaged or won't. Not worth it. You'll be agreeing with me when it happens to you! It's not a matter of if.. it's a matter of when and you'll be hung out to dry! And not by their towels which never seem to be in stock anyways. read more

I have a monthly membership and really like that I can clean my car as many times as I want. However, when you have a fast pass membership like I do there is suppose to be a designated line so you don't have to wait for people to pay. This is not enforced and it's getting worse everyday I come. I feel that management needs to do a better job of holding their team members accountable in directing customers to the proper line.
