I was sad that the Italian food hadn't lived up to the hype. THIS PLACE RESTORED MY FAITH. This is the BEST margherita pizza I have ever had. The dough was perfectly cooked and fluffy. The tomato sauce and mozzarella were really good. It didn't come with the traditional basil, but I didn't mind. I liked how the pizza was a bit wet in the center. I started with the tomato and onion salad, very plain- I added salt and pepper on my own. Probably would not order again- nothing special. The complimentary bread was not fresh and tasted a bit like perfume? Almost like someone had sprayed something with fragrance near the bread. The aperol spritz was okay, not very strong at all. I loved that they offered me a place to charge my phone, connect to free WiFi and relax in the air conditioning. The servers were prompt, not too friendly, but I feel that is typical of Italians. So when you are done and you have that bread leftover in your plate...you need to soak it up and then get to the bottom so that bread is not only soaked with the butter, wine and garlic, but there is some cheese on top as well. Pure liquid heaven. My husband ordered the branzini which is a nice white fish, comes out with the head and tail on....nothing I like to see, however, they did the whole fillet thing right there and it was very good. We both enjoyed the meal, atmosphere was nice, not to noisy, servers were very nice. I would recommend going there for sure.

The current owner who is the son-in-law of the original owner took our order. I ordered the pappardelle Raghu with rabbit and my hubby ordered the braised veal. The veal came with a side of pickled zucchini. I ordered a Da Mauro special salad which was radicchio, tomato, and Parmesan shavings. The salad had no dressing. The cheese was the dressing and it was good. The veal was tender and the tomato sauce was tasty. My pappardelle was good not quite al dente but the sauce was good and the meat was tender. Tasted like chicken ;-) For dessert, I ordered the seasonal fresh fruit with gelato and hubby had wanted a port which they did not carry but the owner recommended something similar but better he said. He tried it but at first thought it was sweeter than he'd liked but after the 2nd sip, it started to grow on him. The food was pretty good and the atmosphere friendly with the servers chit chatting with customers like old friend.
