I was desperate, exhausted, in chronic severe stomach cramping pain, and running to the bathroom 100 times a day and several times throughout the night and I was afraid to eat knowing that after my meal more stomach cramping would come. Doctors told me I would have this disease my entire life and would be on steroids and pain relievers my entire life to cope with this disease. At the time, I came into to office, desperate for some help with my illness. What I didn't know was that I didn't have to have this disease for the rest of my life. I learned that my body has the ability to heal from within to not only overcome the disease at its root cause to make sure I overcame it for good, but also could be even more vibrant and healthy then I ever could imagine---even more healthy than before I came down with the Crohn's disease. I was also suffering from anxiety, hormonal imbalances, chronic infections, and emotional instability in how to handle stress and life crises. In less than my first year of care, I overcame Crohn's disease permanently and have been symptom and drug free since. Immediately after, I started to heal from everything else I was experiencing that I either gave up on or thought was "normal" to suffer with. My skin cleared up, my cycle regulated, menstrual cramps lessened and became more bearable, and my chronic candida which I had for years and was worried would never heal finally went away. My ability to handle and manage stress greatly increased and I transformed my mentality from a victim mindset to an empowered individual that could handle any stress that life brought my way. Every single one came off as a car salesman more invested in milking me for all my money than improving my health. I experienced shocking tactics from these "chiropractors" from free visits in exchange for 5 star reviews, to locking me into a payment plan for the next year of care (regardless of if I would respond to treatment), to charging me $300 for an xray before they would adjust me just to adjust me anyway after I refused. Some of these chiropractors were good, and some were very good. Dr. Esposito, however, is great. He's not just another "back cracker", as he focuses most heavily on stretching. That change in method/focus for my treatment, along with some nutrition suggestions and general good advice in terms of changing some basic habits, has attributed heavily to a seemingly-impossible level of improvement in my spinal and disc health on a recent MRI, compared to a bleak-looking one just five years prior. I only tend to go to his office once every three weeks or so, but each time I leave feeling a little better, and a little wiser.
