They did not follow our picture list, there were very few family pictures taken, only 3 each of the family groups. Worst of all, even though they were there 3 hours prior to the ceremony, they got way behind schedule and had to take some of the pictures after the ceremony that were supposed to be taken before. This threw off the timing of the whole reception and created a huge problem with the caterer, DJ, and event venue. They were expensive and certainly not worth it.

Autumn Sissons had been working with my aunt to take pictures of her granddaughters for several…read moreyears, so when my husband and I had our daughter we knew that we would turn to her to capture our daughter's milestones. It is approximately a 3 hour drive from our home to Autumn's in home studio in Bixby, OK. Autumn has driven to our home town on 2 occasions to do photo shoots of our little one to make things easier on our child, our schedules & to be able to capture some locations that are dear to our family. Her willingness to work with our needs coupled with her creative ideas & her eclectic artistic sensibilities makes the cost of her services and products worth it. During our last session with Autumn, my mother, daughter & I traveled to Tulsa & spent several hours on Friday evening discussing what I had in mind for our shoot that was scheduled to take place the next day. This was in addition to the multiple communications & inspiration photos that had been exchanged between Autumn & I leading up to our meeting. We arrived to her home studio on Saturday around noon and she worked with us well into the night. I know from my experience with her that our shoot was much longer than typical - we did 4 different sets and at least that many costume changes plus a nap and dinner. However - I also know that Autumn does whatever she can to ensure that her clients are pleased and have pictures that really capture special moments. I didn't know it until I started having Autumn photograph my child, but she does more than take pictures of kids - she does family pics, engagement pics, dog pics, senior pics, etc. Some tips: To get to her studio you turn down a small road leading to the Bemo Indian Church & once you past the church just keep going to house behind the church & that's her home studio. Book early because her calendar fills up quickly - especially around holidays & on weekends. Be open to her suggestions even if it's not what you had in mind. Some of the best pics I've ended up with have come from sets that she added when I've gone for other things. There's a reason she's an artist and I'm an attorney!

I thought boudoir pictures would be a great and creative Valentine's Day gift for my boyfriend so I…read morepurchased a Groupon (which is still available!) for AdoraLee early in January. Setting up an appointment a week later for a one hour shoot in their Tulsa studio was super easy (they also have one in Norman). They were super flexible to my requests of adding more time to the shoot and more outfits. They promptly sent me an email confirmation with information that answered ALL of my questions and detailed what to expect. Since I had never done a boudoir shoot before, I appreciated the attention to detail and the fact that they acknowledged that the nervousness of stepping out of your comfort zone is completely normal. They recommend purchasing the hair and makeup add-on for $85. I didn't because my best friend is an amazing makeup artist. It is definitely helpful to feel like a model by the time you arrive. I learned that boudoir does not necessarily mean lingerie or nudity (which was the main reason why I was so nervous). Alisa, the photographer, helped me feel at ease immediately. When I arrived, the previous session was just wrapping up. They were three girlfriends who told me they gifted themselves a shoot every year because it was a great way to celebrate themselves. I loved how enthusiastic they were. I hadn't considered it would be a gift to myself as well. The space itself wasn't big but it was very well laid out. They have cute décor and different backdrops set up. You can bring whatever you want to wear during your shoot but they also have a client closet with props to choose from. They even have a Pinterest page to check out beforehand for inspiration. During the actual shoot, Alisa did a magnificent job of coaching me through posing and my facial expressions. Even though some of the poses felt somewhat forced and uncomfortable, she would quickly show me the result and it was AMAZING! I couldn't believe how good she made me look. She is a pro at choosing flattering poses and encouraging you along the way. Once the shoot was over, they let me look at the pictures for me to select which ones I wanted to be retouched. As part of the Groupon, I was supposed to select only a handful of pictures for them to retouch. I actually thought that would be plenty until I started to scroll through them. I actually loved ALL of them. So I once again extended my package and purchased all of the digital files. It felt like a splurge but was well-worth it for sure. Highly recommend for everyone to experience! It was a highly empowering and did wonders for my self-esteem.
