I guess you can say I overlooked the word "Healing" in the name. The masseuse, Cedar, was really sweet and walked me through her routine. I don't know if this is an accurate way of describing her methods, but it was kind of new age-y? She disclosed that I will hear her mumble some words throughout the massage. Well, from what I remember, she called upon the earth and light to help her. It sounds kinda o_O, but hey, that's her thing. I, for one, don't engage in new age-y stuff, but I respected it. (But in all honesty, I had to hold in my laughter at times. I know I'm being immature, but her "prayers" were totally unexpected. At one point I thought, "I wonder if she can hear my thoughts?") The only thing I remember specifically is the hot stone part. She put two large rocks under my hand and they were freaking HOT. I didn't say anything but inside I was thinking, DUDE, is it normally like this? My hands basically hovered over them until they cooled down. Thankfully the hot stones she used on my back were warm.

My mom and I were planning a weekend in Santa Fe and always get a massage when we visit. I called Kerstyn a few days before our visit to see if she could fit my mom and I in for us both having a massage done at the same time. She was able to quicky get another massage therapist (female which I had requested) and called me to let me know that we could get in for an hour massage each. The day of the massage my mom and I arrived and met Kerstyn and Aubry who was the other massage therapist. My mom wanted deep tissue work and I selected traditional. There were two tables set up in the massage room which was fine with my mom and I as we have shared a room for double massages many times. Kerstyn worked on my mom and Aubry worked on me. The massages were WONDERFUL. My mom has had MANY massages in her life and stated that the deep tissue massage she got from Kerstyn was probably the best she ever had. I thought Aubry was wonderful and I fully enjoyed my massage. As I mentioned before, my mom and I have been to Santa Fe before and we have had massages at both Ten Thousand Waves and Bishop's Lodge and we both thought the massages we got with Kerstyn and Aubry were as good if not better than others. This spa doesn't have the hot tubs and spas and other things like some of the higher end places so if you are looking for that kind of experience you may be better off going to one of the larger spas. However, if you want a really good massage at a very reasonable price then I would highly recommend this place. My mom and I would for sure book here again the next time we come to town!
