I manage a medium sized office and have enjoyed having GTB come in for bi-weekly cleans. When it comes to communication, Lee and his team are fantastic. They are always open to feedback and are eager to find out if there's any way they can improve. I can't think of any areas where they are lacking though! It was not until I hired a random, lackluster cleaning company to clean my personal residence that I realized how good my office has it with GTB. I'm happy to say this was an excellent experience with a cleaning company. I've been sick which is why I needed to hire a cleaning service - and my first few attempts failed miserably. Because of my unhappiness with the other companies I had tried I was quite hesitant to give Geoffrey a whirl. Now that they've been here all I can say is I wish I didn't hesitate so long! My cleaning was a few days ago and I'm still finding little things they did that I never would have expected - and those things gave their cleaning that extra wow factor. Perhaps most importantly they made communicating with them easy, reassured me I wouldn't be disappointed and were very transparent with the costs - which meant no unpleasant surprises. All in all I'm thoroughly pleased and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or hire them again! read more

Have used them 3 times now and it is by far the best cleaning service I've used in 15 years living in this house and the cleanest my house has been. They also bring brand new cloths and mop heads that are only used at my place and their staff all wear masks. Highly recommend! read more

Not very impressed with this cleaning company to be honest. They spent 2 hours in my home with three people and the place was not cleaned completely. My house is clutter free and not very big. Spent a lot of money on mediocre work. Spend your money elsewhere read more

I have hired them four times. The first time was average however I gave them a pass as they were learning my space and cleaning requirements. They missed important things like wiping down cabinet doors, wiping down doorknobs and light switches, top of fridge, dusting very obviously spaces etc The second time I hired them, they were 4 hours late, although they kept texting me saying they would be there soon. I ended up cancelling that service after it it was apparent they would be 4 hours late Third time I hired them, they did a good job. They showed up on time, cleaned like professionals however it was still apparent the cleaning staff was being trained on my dime The fourth, and last time, was this week. They sent two people for 2 hours and a third person to join for the last hour. When they left, there were just so many things which were not done correctly; like getting rid of coffee rings on my desk, dusting the tv and tv stand, vacuuming the couch, making my bed correctly, mopping the floors correctly, just seemed a waste of my $210 plus tip. They don't charge per hour, they charge per job, which should only be reserved for a mature company which actually understands what is involved in completing a job. What they essentially charge is $35/h per person for a very junior team, a nice junior team, but still a junior team. I do not like to write bad reviews for any business, especially when my previous booking was good. However, my last experience with Geoffrey The Butler was poor. I booked for the morning service 1.5 weeks in advance, with confirmation shortly after. However, I had to follow up a few times the day before, to give me the 1 hour arrival window. On the day of service (Friday), they kept delaying their arrival time, and finally cancelled the service altogether at 3PM. I had to make arrangements from my end to accommodate them throughout the day, especially since I am moving out and prepping the place for renting out. I then asked them to come the following day or 2 instead (Saturday/Sunday). On Saturday, I had to follow-up a couple times again until they confirmed that they would come on Sunday (with no time window whatsoever). They came on Sunday, but did not confirm with me the total cost of the service prior to starting the job (which they should do beforehand and have done in the past). I was never compensated for my time and inconvenience. The service itself was expensive in comparison to other companies, so I was expecting more professionalism from them like I had before. I did speak with someone there, to provide them with feedback. However, they kept arguing why it was reasonable for them to do all of the above because they informed me about the lateness throughout the day. Just a side note, they will charge you $0.70/person/minute for lost time if they cannot access your unit (which is fair). But if they're the one who is late, it is of no consequence to them. read more

I hired this company because they seemed to have many good reviews. They would not commit to a time other than between 8 and 5, but when I pressed them to commit to at least a window of time, said they would call an hour before they came. They were true to their word, and two young women arrived - without a vacuum cleaner. They had to call someone to get a vacuum cleaner. I have a small space - barely 800 square feet, no carpeting, two bedrooms, one bathroom. The estimate was for $100 to $150. I told them they would not have to do laundry, also I have next to no carpeting, and not to bother with the dishes. Ten minutes after the women arrived, I got a call from "Geoffrey" that there was much more work and I would have to pay $170. I absolutely refused. To me, it smelled like a scam. When I returned home, I asked the women what it was that had required more work. They replied that they didn't know anything about it. Well, they had done an okay but inconsistent job. There were places where they did not lift objects (like a sound bar) but cleaned around it. Also did not clean completely to the walls in various rooms. When "Geoffrey" called, he noted the women had told him I'd seemed upset. I told him that I wasn't impressed with being asked for more money and told him I felt like I was being scammed. He seemed offended and said if that was how I felt, he wouldn't charge me. I said I was happy to pay $150 but he insisted that he would not invoice me. So, that's how we left it. Also they use some kind of stinky fruity smelling cleaner, all my windows are now open. read more

First time trying out the service today, excellent job, very detailed in their cleaning and got everything done quickly. The team was incredibly detailed in how they got things done and I came home to an apartment cleaner than I ever remember. Will definitely be a repeat customer. read more
