After moving into our new home, I called them with a very specific list of things we needed doing. It wasn't until the appointment was over that I was told that they wouldn't be able to do everything on the list today (connecting overhead lights) and I'd have to make a follow-up appointment. Fair enough, but whenever I tried to call Fred I was fobbed off and this has been happening for about two to three weeks now! Last week, I was told that they don't make appointments that far in advance and that he'd call me this week to make an appointment for this week. Well, as I had yet to receive any kind of call-back from him and had been forced to chase him up from day 1 (including getting someone to make the first appointment!) I called him early this week only to be promised that he couldn't promise me he could fit me in this week (even though he had promised me that last week!!) and would call me that evening. I told him politely that I really needed to get these things done as I had been waiting for quite a while already and if I needed to get another electrician in, I'd like to know that now. Well, sure enough, no call came. I would like to say that I was very happy with the electrician who came for the original appointment. I'm not an electrician myself, so can't really judge the quality of workmanship, but we haven't had any problems since. So in terms of expertise, I'm sure these guys can't be faulted. However, I understand that Fred is apparently very popular and very busy, but I'm rather angry at the rude way in which I've been treated. I honestly have better things to do with my time than chase up a contractor I'm going to be paying a not insignificant hourly wage to do a job for me! It is also beyond me why he isn't able to make appointments in advance because we recently called a plumber and had to wait a few weeks also before he could come out, but at least we were able to make an appointment. This gentleman has wasted my time and lost my business. I was more than patient as I don't like to nag people and realize that they sometimes have other matters to attend to, so I waited a week for him to call me back each time and he never did! This is extremely unprofessional and disorganized. I was nothing but polite and did not deserve this shoddy treatment. Indeed, if I treated my business customers this way, they would not put up with that either and when I told my realtor what had happened he also understood why I will be going with someone else in future. I really wanted to go with Fred as I had heard such great things about him, but I can't afford to put myself through this stressful rigmarole every bloody time. Again, I'm sure his work can't be faulted and he seems polite enough on the phone, but having to chase a guy up this much to even make an appointment is quite simply unacceptable. This review represents my subjective opinion based on my personal experience.

The difference between Phase 4 and the other contractor was night and day, the most significant difference being the willingness to work directly with our insurance company. Matt understood the coverage our policy provided and worked directly with the insurance company to get all that we deserved, never misleading us or the insurance company. With Matt's explanation to the insurance company, they quickly approved the additional work. Phase 4 got right to work and our house wound up looking better than before the tree fell. I had heard of horror stories of people working with insurance companies and contractors. This was not the case for us. Phase 4 came through for us.

I used them before so I thought I would get a quote for my siding. Someone was out on Sept, 26 ,…read moresaid about a week for quote. Well over a month later, phone call and text. Nothing. Thanked me for my patience at one point and offered a discount. I ask again for the quote, completely ignored and blown off. Not sure what changed over the years. it's a shame.

I chose M&S for their price and presentation for my new roof in October of 2021. The first…read moreimpression was very good. After getting 3 bids, (two of them had $95 for each sheet of Plywood, and the first 3 sheets free),I had M&S match that and put it in writing. They were $125 per sheet with none free originally. I really needed a Saturday install due to work issues and my Great Dane would need to be out of house, and Mark promised that. That was the first issue. He did not keep that promise. It had to be on a Friday. I'm flexible, so okay. I took off work. The team that actually did the job was GREAT. That was nice. However, when they left, I walked the perimeter and found that 2 of my flood lights had been broken and knocked down. Also, they did not reconnect a downspout that I requested be fixed while they were up there, (I told them I would pay extra, as it had just been knocked off during a recent storm.) Mark had promised that as well. Oh well. The roof looked great. Good materials. But the price was CLEARLY padded. When I got the final bill a week or so later. Only 5-6 full pieces of Plywood were used. I counted! Mark even went up and checked the ones in question to save me money. The bill said that 11 were used. Not true. Again, barely 6 full sheets were used, But the bill said 11 were used. In the end I paid for eight sheets of wood. I paid in full. Ten days later Mark texts me and says he lost my check for $8,000!!! I had to leave work to go to bank to stop payment. Then I had to go in person to their office to reissue a check. That was a big problem for me. But I'm understanding, so I told them we could schedule the gutters next, for which I had received 3 bids also. Their first bid was for $3,600 ish, with guards. I asked for a price without the guards and it went down to around $2,400. I told them to schedule it,mid November and that's where I started getting the run around. I finally got Mark to commit to last Tuesday, but I had to change it for to work. I figured that would not be a problem because I had been so understanding and flexible this whole time. I asked for this coming Tuesday the 25th and it has been 8 days and I have not heard from M&S contracting. I have called emailed and sent numerous texts. I guess I'm going to go elsewhere now.

R&R Glass replaced a picture window in my living room that faced the front of the house. This was…read morethe original window installed in 2012 that had experienced condensation between the glass panels. I called R&R to replace it in May 2021 . Again condensation presented itself. I called R&R two weeks ago to look at it. They came out today (7/28/26) and replaced it free of charge. They stand by their work which is heartening given today's "customer service". I highly recommend them is you need glass work.

Uncle bob's was kind enough to recommend R&R, I called, brought the window over , normally a morning drop would be ready that afternoon. The in house repair guy was on an emergency house call, so mine wouldn't be ready until next afternoon. Got a call that evening, will be ready for pick up 8: AM. Did I mention the opening at my house was during the recent heatwave. Had the window back in place by 10 AM. I won't hesitate to return for my window repair needs, not to mention recommending R&R to anyone else that could use glass replacement. Cost was very reasonable especially the short turnaround time

Time for a new roof. We got recommendations for two companies from friends and also found that the…read morecompany that did a roof on our previous house 25 years ago was still around. Contacted all three (e-mail and phone) last Thursday. The contractor that did our previous roof - A Damiano & Sons - called back immediately and arranged to come out the next day and give us an estimate. Still waiting to hear from the other two companies. Anthony Damiano came out when he said he would and walked the roof and the property and gave us a more than fair estimate. My inclination was to give them the job at that point, but, to be fair, I wanted to give the others a chance to respond. By the following Tuesday I still had heard nothing from either of them. Signed Damiano's proposal and e-mailed it back to him. He promptly called back and asked if Thursday (two days hence) would be OK. I said yes and he said they'd be there between 7 and 7:30 AM. Promptly at 7 AM two crews showed up and started tearing off the old roof. All done and cleaned up by 4:30 that afternoon - this was a 30 square roof (3000 sq ft), so not a small job. Eight days from solicitation to completion and the roof looks terrific. Hard enough to find a contractor that will even call you back, let alone one that lives up to the letter of their word. If you need a roof, I highly recommend Damiano's.

The crew worked from 7am until after dark in 96 degree heat, correcting existing issues paying close attention to detail. They were polite and respectful of the house and yard, & did a thorough cleanup. I'm very pleased - couldn't have asked for a better job.
