Sadly I didn't actually get an appointment here…read more After waiting over a week to be accepted as a new patient they finally reached out to me to get scheduled. Okay fine. Fast forward to the day prior to the visit I start receiving text messages for check in to my appointment. Okay, a little odd seeing as it's not until tomorrow. Don't people normally check in 15 to 30 minutes prior? So I left it alone thinking that maybe the system was just being a little wonky. The day of my appointment I am very busy at work, trying to get things done before I have to leave early to give myself plenty of time to fill out the new patient paperwork that they informed me of. No sooner had I made it to my car, pulled out my phone... I saw no less than 7 text messages spamming me over the course of 12 hours to check in to my visit, a missed phone call, and the final text stating that they had canceled my appointment. I literally had almost 2 hours before my actual appointment. I talked to the woman who answered the call and she had stated that I had to reschedule. Wouldn't give me a reason as to why, so I asked her if it because I didn't reply fast enough to my appointment reminder? She said no. I went home and told my boyfriend what happened. His response, "Yeah... they do that if you don't answer them." So technically, I'm also dealing with reception lying about the reason for the cancelation. I'm sorry that I didn't respond to the spam. But if I tell you that I will be there at 4:30pm, I'm gonna be there at 4:30pm to fill out the new patient paperwork for my appointment that you scheduled at 5:00pm. For those that can't make their appointments when they say they can be there, well... that is a "them" problem and should be handled accordingly. I think its disrespectful to the client to expect them to respond to them outside of the window discussed and then cancel their visit because they didn't text back when you wanted them to. Had they left it alone I was actually scheduled to arrive just after 4pm giving me plenty of time to fill out their paperwork. Unsolicited, she provided times for a new appointment. But I told her that I was so irritated with the situation that I would call them back when I wasn't so irritated. Right now, I am on the fence as to whether I really want to.

Awkward location. Not enough parking. Walk into the lobby and waiting seats are 3 feet away from…read morethe receptionist. Apparently they forgot about HIPPA requirements for patients. To get there, you have to drive around the Amigos Mexican restaurant parking to get to a very narrow parking area. On the back of the building is HOME realty. It will be fun when there is snow piled everywhere. My PCP transferred to this facility after several years of being affiliated with another health system at a different location. I'm seriously questioning who selected this location and did the physical layout. The exam room, at least the one I'm was in was 10x10 feet with sliding doors. Furniture looks like an IKEA tiny house design. Don't get me wrong. I have nothing bad to say about my PCP or His PA. It's the building/facility that is my issue. I'll give it a couple of visits before I decide to jump ship and switch doctors.

The new location wasn't amazing at first but they have made improvements and now is up to standard…read more They have since put in new furniture that changed the ambience from sterile clinic to a homey, comfortable family sitting area. The receptionist is as far away as many other doctors office I have been to so I don't think there is a HIPPA concern. The actual patient rooms are great. There's really nothing wrong with their physical location other than it's hard to find the first time you go. As Keith in the previous review stated, it's behind amigos and a reality office and doesn't immediately stand out. Parking is fine for the small location though. I've never had issues finding parking for my visits. The reason to go to Northpoint Family medicine doesn't really have anything to do with the setting though. This clinic is operated by Byran and is a great boon for our community. The doctors I've seen there are honest, caring, and go above and beyond the call of duty. Gab in particular is amazing. The staff is accommodating, professional, and pleasant. This is in great contrast to the last place my PCP was at (Autumn Ridge ran by CHI) which seem micromanage the doctor-patient relationships to increase profitability. I am appreciative of this new location most because it is away from the previous management which made life difficult for both the doctors and the people they serve. 5 stars! 100% would recommend family to see them.

Scans were done then Dr. Vandenhul said all they needed to do was lose weight and eat more salad, and that there were no gall bladder stones. Those were her literal words. When the patient saw their actual doctor, Dr. Hamann (who is amazing), they were referred to a gastroenterologist because Dr. Hamann said there was an obvious problem. Patient had gall bladder removed, with the surgeon saying it was one of the worst cases of gallstones he'd seen. Dr. Vandenhul was absolutely dismissive, all while the issue she claimed did not exist, DID exist. Strongly urge anyone to not use her as a doctor. I refuse to see her if my PCP is unavailable.

She would pause a moment and let me say what I wanted, but then she would disregard it totally. When I returned on a follow up visit, her version of what was said and agreed upon was very different than what was actually discussed, probably her thing of disregarding whatever I said. She seems to have the idea that she's a general and we're lowly privates, and apparently believes if you see her that your body and life are no longer yours, they're now hers. I saw another patient that was very upset and trying in vain to see a different doctor, I assume she must be one of her patients. From my experience, I suggest staying far, far away from her.
