My husband and I both used to see him. We both liked him and he does preventative medicine. He left the clinic many years ago.

Having moved to Lincoln to attend college, I needed to find a new primary doctor since mine was…read moremore than 2 hours away. After doing some research I found FFHC and it seemed like a nice fit. I called and scheduled an appointment with Dr. Brinkhoff (ignore my spelling if it is wrong) and was all set. However, when I got there, the office had for some reason given me an appointment with Tara Wenta. I was a bit annoyed, but once I got to know Tara, I was extremely happy. Tara is one of the most caring, compassionate, and personable people I have ever met. My issue, then, is absolutely not with her but with the office itself. The front desk staff was typically females in their mid-20s who liked to gossip and did not really seem to care much about their jobs. Of course, some were wonderful and nice, but there are a few I did not care to see or speak with whether it be there at the office or on the phone. Another issue is with some of the nursing staff. There were at least three different times where Tara and I had worked out different prescriptions such as putting me on antibiotics for one thing or another, or changing my dosage on something else, and the pharmacy had never even received anything when I went in either hours or sometimes days later! I'm pretty sure every time I called to speak to a nurse I would get the voicemail (understandable) and then games of phone-tag would ensue. I've ended up having to go to urgent care for my needs, I once got periorbital cellulitis because they failed to call in antibiotics and eyedrops for me. I also have a mental health issue that JUST got solved yesterday after probably two because it took the nurses that long to call the pharmacy. I have had to go many days without my medications that affect my quality of life because of this, which just adds way more problems into the mix. Tara is wonderful. This office? Not so much.

They will treat a medical emergency like a minor inconvenience. Make judgements based off of age…read moreand sex. They don't listen to your symptoms of medications and if you come in sick often they only work to prescribe you constant medication that is just basic or over the counter instead of getting down to the issue at hand. Don't go here, theyre just trying to make more money for themselves by putting you on medications you may not even need. They don't work actively or very fast when it comes to getting referrals for the rheumatologist and may delay the referal to the point where you have irreversible damage because of their lack of compassion or concern. Brinkhoff may seem like the best physician there, but as someone who was forced to go here since being a child, they do not care. They will force their views and opinions while their psychologist or whoever is the behaviorist there doesn't know the differences between ADHD, ODD, Autism Spectrum or BPD. Quick to diagnose a SIXTEEN year old girl with BPD. People need proper diagnosis and care, this clinic needs to be shut down. Beinkhoff practically calls out every 4 out of the 6 days they're open So shes not the most reliable. These people need their degrees revoked and clinic shut down it's ridicLiliya. Not to mention you can't have a visit with a balance of 150 dollars. So their limit for how much of a bill you can have is also very small in this day in age where everyone Is struggling to afford.

Scans were done then Dr. Vandenhul said all they needed to do was lose weight and eat more salad, and that there were no gall bladder stones. Those were her literal words. When the patient saw their actual doctor, Dr. Hamann (who is amazing), they were referred to a gastroenterologist because Dr. Hamann said there was an obvious problem. Patient had gall bladder removed, with the surgeon saying it was one of the worst cases of gallstones he'd seen. Dr. Vandenhul was absolutely dismissive, all while the issue she claimed did not exist, DID exist. Strongly urge anyone to not use her as a doctor. I refuse to see her if my PCP is unavailable.

She would pause a moment and let me say what I wanted, but then she would disregard it totally. When I returned on a follow up visit, her version of what was said and agreed upon was very different than what was actually discussed, probably her thing of disregarding whatever I said. She seems to have the idea that she's a general and we're lowly privates, and apparently believes if you see her that your body and life are no longer yours, they're now hers. I saw another patient that was very upset and trying in vain to see a different doctor, I assume she must be one of her patients. From my experience, I suggest staying far, far away from her.
