The quality of their produce is great, as is the range of items that they stock. They are one of few halal stores in the area so are always quite busy. They also do have a wide range of normal foods they are like a small supermarket but with all of the eastern spices to go with it. Prices are reasonable and quite competative and they are also in the process of opening a resteraunt upstairs and bringing over a chef from India to run it.

When I have been away from home for a while, I have to say that I do crave a savaloy sandwich! It's usually the first thing that I buy when I get home :D They also sell a lot of different cuts of meat - sliced meat for sandwiches, as well as their own brand of sausages which are the best sausages that I have ever tasted. The Laygate branch is quite small but they usually have everything that the larger branches sell. The only thing I find is that the shop is often cramped during lunchtimesmeaning that some people end up queueing outside, but a simple way to avoid this is to not go at peak times!

Numerous award winning butchers that offer prime cuts of meat, fantastic mince and healthy plump chickens and eggs! Wonderful bakery that makes the best breads and pastry I have tried. Wonderful vegetables and fruit stands where you get can a serious deal on great vegetables. Cheapest and most authentic pick and mix selection I have ever seen Fish monger, show repair, tea shop, cafes, clothing and boot sale, cd shops, home repair, clothing alterations ... Even a room with a scale in it! Grainger Market is magical. A must see, I consider the market a tourist attraction because of how traditional it is. The people in the booths all seem very authentic and very helpful.
