This dentist is awesome, and I am very picky. I have referred many of my colleagues to his…read morepractice, and they have all been impressed. I use the down town location. It is nice to walk to his location. I recently had implants done, and although he does the crown portion, but his referrals were great. Since he has been in practice for a long time, he knows his referrals personally. He selects based on quality, and due to relationships the referrals can get you in quickly. Some on the same date!! Dr. Waldman accepts Delta Dental, so his prices are reasonable, yet excellent. I HIGHLY recommend this dentist.

Have had an amazing experience! I can say enough about the Pittsburgh team. The surgeon was VERY…read moreskilled. I had almost no swelling or bruising. My smile looks amazing!

If I could give a zero I would. My husband was scheduled for a Friday to have surgery. He wakes…read morefrom surgery people start shoving things in his mouth and tell him nothing of what they are doing to him. He couldn't talk to ask. They don't treat accompanying family members well. I felt like I was bothering office staff. I didn't feel welcome to wait in their facility. I had to call and check on him because no one called me after his surgery. We got a room so we could go in the next day for his promised 24 hr implants. When we called no one answered their phone. What?! They had told us to return the next day. Now no answer?! No one called to check on him ,or to schedule his apt. They got their $46,000 and their attitudes changed. No more communication from Nuvia. After payment patients are on their own. So here he sits with no implants...All they are worried about is their $46000 payment which was paid in full. Big mistake. Should have known when part of the contract said no yelling at staff or swearing. They request reviews from people after initial consultation. Stick with reputable surgeons and companies!! Nuvia is not patient centered after they are paid. 24 hr teeth no way!!!! we are on day 3 of no implants, no communication from them. Sent him with a mouth full of stitches and Tylenol. No one answers their phones. Beware Nuvia says teeth in 24 hrs. Yeah right. We are STILL WAITING! You only see positive fake reviews. Beware!!!!They only care about stealing money and no concern for patients. Sales people trained to pressure and lie. So we sit here in waiting room The girls in the office loudly talking about personal stories oblivious to waiting patients. Socializing laughing while or whispering behind their desks. We sit here nervous. Still waiting. Patients call they hang up and complain about each one. Totally unprofessional. They took everyone back but my poor husband. I pity him so badly. These are trained sales people. After payment they act like we are bothering them. Money centered and rude. We've been sitting her over an hour. Once he gets his implants I'll let them know how they made us feel and the promised 24 hrs is a joke. Beware.

I'm leaving this review to document my experience at Atlas Dental Specialists (Shadyside) for two…read morefront-tooth crowns. While the office is professional on the surface, my experience overall was extremely frustrating and costly. After my permanent crowns were placed, I developed persistent sensitivity in my right front tooth (cold and hot) that did not improve over time. I also felt a noticeable ledge/step on the back side of the crown near the gumline, which made me concerned about the fit/contour. Aesthetically, the crowns also looked longer and bulkier than expected with heavier incisal edges than what I was aiming for. When I tried to address these concerns, I was advised to pay for additional diagnostics (a wax diagnostic). After I paid for it, the office later terminated the patient-provider relationship instead of completing the planned corrections. What made the situation especially difficult was the refund process: the office confirmed in writing the refund amounts, but repeatedly stated the refund would only be processed if I signed a broad "release/indemnification" agreement exactly as written. The agreement was extremely one-sided. It went far beyond acknowledging a refund and included sweeping waivers and protections for the office, along with a "non-disparagement/online statements" section that, in my view, would discourage patients from speaking openly online about their experience. I was not comfortable signing something like that just to receive an agreed refund. Overall, I'm deeply disappointed by how concerns were handled. The communication and resolution process felt dismissive and, at times, misleading - more focused on protecting the office than responsibly addressing the problem. My takeaway is that the approach felt money-driven, and I left feeling I couldn't trust the process. I would encourage anyone considering treatment here to do thorough due diligence and not rely solely on online ratings.

Made an appointment. They called and changed it. It was not a convenient date for me (the one I…read morehad previously scheduled was) but I took it anyway. Arrived early. Appointment was for 10:20. That time came and went. I asked when I'd be seen and they said "we're running late." (At 10:18, I had asked if they were running late and was told that they were not.) At 10:25 I asked the receptionist how long my appointment would take. Was told an hour. Well, I'm already ten minutes into my lunch hour and had expected to be seen at my appointment time. I said "nevermind, I'm leaving; you can keep my money" (had to make a $25 deposit before anything happened at all). They said "have a nice day," and I said "f*ck off." (Yeah -- i know that's wrong, but was so frustrated, and also I'm old and have no filter.) It's a downtown office and downtown workers obviously use them and can't be away from work for hours on end because a dentist doesn't keep appointment times.) This place has zero respect for patients' time, but theirs is SO important that I received NUMEROUS texts in the days leading up to my appointment. "...you have an appointment reserved with Atlas Dental Specialists on Wed, Oct 1st at 10:20 AM." And ".."please respond with C to confirm your appointment with Atlas Dental Specialists for October 1st at 10:20 am. If your appt is missed, or cancelled / rescheduled with less than 48 hours' notice, a fee of $50/hour of appt time will apply." So obviously THEIR time is important. Just not their patients' time. Also, every appointment is "separate." Cleaning is one. Examination is another. It's all about money money money with this place. They did refund my $25 deposit though. Terrible place. And now I have to find a dentist.
