Mike Bertucci the service manager was very rude and unprofessional as far as I fill like trying to take advantage of me being an African American female and trying to run game on me about them offering me a damn oil change oppose to them honoring me with a credit or something for filling there loaner car gas tank up. I'm grown an not a kid its a way how you carry yourself an being professional. He needs coach and counseling skills on how he talks to an individual especially a female I'm not a kid an to be rude and disrespectful to me an keep throwing up giving me a fucken $90 oil change was nothing to me like he was really doing something for me. I had to leave and fill up my tank of gas after him trying to manipulate me and make me think I was getting a deal on them giving me a free oil change oppose to filling my tank up or even compensating me for the extra money I just spent on filling there loaner car up. Hard to believe anyone could give this dealer anything but 5 stars. My used car sales rep, Darcy Johnson, was the best automobile sales rep I have ever met. He was thorough, and answered all of my questions, even after the sale of my Chevy Trax. Ahmad Mustapha was extremely helpful with an additional warranty and the signing of my paperwork. When I had a problem with my radio, Andy in service was excellent. All in all, a very professional staff. Everyone was so friendly. The service manager, Michael, behaves rudely and condescendingly, often ignoring concerns and making unnecessary remarks. His tone needs improvement, especially in controlling his disdain and disagreement with customers. On December 17, 2025, I brought my vehicle in for service. The associate was thorough and prompt with updates about my car, but my concern is that since purchasing my vehicle in 2024, I have needed to return approximately five times. Each visit, my car has not been charged or cleaned. When I requested charging, Brian said he would "try" to plug it in, which I found unacceptable--he should have assured me he would take care of it promptly. Valuing customer service, I reached out to Michael about my concern, but instead of responding himself, Brian called me back. During our conversation, Michael sighed deeply as if bothered when I asked if he was okay. It was clear he did not want to be disturbed by a customer needing service. I explained my request, Brian's response, and why I was frustrated, even mentioning how I could relate to similar situations from my own employer. However, Michael remained argumentative, angry, and unfriendly throughout the call. Eventually, I suggested we end the conversation, wished him a good day, and hung up. I pursued a vehicle buyback with GM and recently completed the buyback with absolutely NO assistance from Matick Chevrolet.

I made an appointment for an oil change which was a month out from the appointment time due to no availability. Anyhow I went in as a walk in due to the fact my oil was down to 2% and was told by 2 managers that they refuse me to come in as a walk in. I will never ever purchase another car with GEORGE MATICK. I recently bought a pre-owned certified 2017 GMC Terrain. Not even a half hour after having the vehicle, it stalls out on me twice when backing up and the check engine light comes on. Both times I had to turn the vehicle off just to use the shifter. I no longer felt safe in the vehicle but the management asked if I wanted them to fix the issue and for me to keep it. No, thank you. The car even had problems when stopped at a light - it was shaking back and forth. It had to turn the vehicle off again to get it to work. I returned the vehicle and was assured my check would be returned to me ASAP. However, it's been over 2 weeks and no check has come to my bank. (Took around 3 weeks due to bank, they said.) bought a car from them 2 years ago from a man named Gary (I was told he doesn't work here anymore.) I noticed the car wasn't working properly not even 48 hours after the purchase. I took the car back and a salesman Gary drove it around the parking lot and told me it was okay and sent me away. I went back the next day, car still making noises that made me fear for my safety. I went back and after going back and forth they finally decided they would take my car back to "fix" it. they called me a day later and said it was fixed. I picked up the car, and it was worse than before. I went back AGAIN and they took my car. this time they said they would need to hold it longer because they needed to order a part. I told them I haven't even been able to drive my car and I'm still paying monthly for it and they need to provide me with a rental to and from work. getting a rental car from this dealership was like pulling teeth and I wasn't able to get one for a couple days. a higher up came out and offered to pay one month of my car payment despite being out of a new car for 3 months. I got the car back and it still was not drivable. I ended up taking the car to a private mechanic and spent over 3 grand in fixed to make the car drivable. I've been trying to get ahold of anyone at this dealership for over wo years because the car is still not safe to drive even after I put extra money into it. they texted me on July 8th because I reached out to the bank to see what I could do because I have Had this car in the shop longer than I have been able to drive it. This has been the first time they have answered the phone or contacted me in this entire process Of me reaching out. I asked the woman named Megan Mair who texted me to call me. She did and I explained the situation to her and she sounded appalled on the phone that the car still didn't work. She assured me that she was passing my information off and was going to have someone call me back. it is now July 31st and NO ONE has contacted me. I'm still paying over $400 monthly for a car with 100k miles that I can't even drive and no one at this dealership cares. I was selling my car and the potential buyer wanted this dealer to inspect it, they came back with a long list of repairs they said urgently needed to be fixed, which caused the buyer to back out. I had the car checked out by a mechanic shop I trust, and half the stuff wasn't actually in need of repair, the other things were basic maintenance needs that did not need immediate repair. They took advantage of a woman who was excited to buy a car that she loves, and for what? More money for them? If you want to get treated in an unprofessional and rude manner bring your car to Matick Chevrolet. My car was broken into and vandalized, I had my insurance company go thru Matick for the repairs while there I mentioned to the collision department about my leaking trunk which has been that way since I purchased the car FROM Matick. Come to find out there was been a known issue with a seal on the trunk, they said not a recall but there was a mandate from corp to fix as a customer service. Something I had been asking about repeatedly, now I am told oh well you are outside the window of that mandate. Mind you I had the care in for repairs 2 months ago and supposedly from Mike I am 2 months outside the window, how convenient. I got treated in a rude and disrespectful manner by the service manager and basically told m screw myself and call corporate. The killer is the ONLY reason I have the Malibu is because service could not fix my lease properly on my Impala which I was going to buy from Matick until they were unable to fix it properly (4 attempts were made). So if you want your hard earned money valued and patronage appreciated I recommend another dealer. Maybe even another manufactuer ... As GM also knows there is an issue (engineering flaw) with the senor on the shifter detecting when the car is in park but have decided to try and stick it to the customers with a 500 repair cost vs a recall for that issue as well. The shifter issue is so well documented by customers a 10 minute fix is on youtube. 500 bucks to fix a known engineering flaw. So now the customer service is now shoddy as well as it pertains to the service manager "Mike". So to be fair Faith in Collision and Darlese Washington in service have always been examples of how to treat a customer even when the outcome may be something I did not desire and we had to agree to disagree. No communication from service writer Christi since Friday March 31 when I called to check status of my car and she rudely told me my part is on back order and they will call me when it comes in. No return call from the service manager Mike who was supposed to get back to us by Wednesday March 29th regarding mess up with submitting claim to my warranty company. Multiple messages left. No response. Uber is making a killing off of me while Matick refuses to communicate or give any type of status updates. I purchased a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 2019 brand new from this dealer. now the truck has only 35,000 miles and it has a COOLING LINE OIL LEAK. I took it to the dealer to find the problem, and they have stated that the cooling line hose is leaking oil and needs to be replaced. GM Corporate refuses to help me out and stating it is out of warranty, although my vehicle is only 35,000 miles. Furthermore, there is a recall addresses that exact problem, its called "Customer Satisfaction Program N212326940" and it is specifically for Silverado 2019 like mine, that states for a problem of a cooling line oil leak. When I stated it to the GM and the dealer, they refuse to help me out and state the my VIN for my vehicle is not listed as one of the effected vehicles. it is clearly that my vehicle has exact same problem. the repair cost is around $700 with parts and labor, and it is not right for me to pay for a clear problem that is a quality and manufacturing known issue. The vehicle from the beginning had lots of issues, some as bad as "Brakes failure alert" when vehicle had only 25000 miles. GM refuses to take responsibility for its poor quality manufacturing and parts and will not help out. Horrible experience and I will never buy a GM Vehicle again, not because of the problem, but because of their lack of ability to do something about a know problem AND REFUSAL OF TAKING RESPONSIBILITY. read more

The two-star rating is for customer service. As far as I can tell, the repairs done recentlty at George Matick Chevrolet are ok. I paid more than 2K for repairs, and Matick wasn't even able to provide me with shuttle service back to the dealership to pick up my car - at 4:30 in the afternoon. Really? When I did get my car back, I saw that the dashboard display was still blank (which it had been since the warning sensor had come on). During the intake, I had specifically requested that it be restored. Instead of simply doing that, the Matick employee I dealt with made excuses. Another thing I didn't like: this dealership uses an automated system for estimates, which gives you no opportunity to ask questions. You simply click to accept or reject the estimate. My truck was in George Matick Chevrolet collision shop.. they did a good job with my truck, but when I got it back, it has some scratches on it.. the collision shop said they are going to fix them for free. The proof is in the pudding and the photos before show no scratches on the truck when they first got it.and there are scratches now after.. so I did not leave the collision shop until somebody came out to look at those scratches. I loved my car buying experience here. Seriously. I bought a used car my last shopping experience and although I loved my car, it was made into the gooey center of an Oreo when it was sandwiched between a Thunderbird and a Jeep. Sad, yes, but I look upon these moments as an opportunity to get something new. I try to enjoy it rather than stress. I went on my trusty KBB dot com and looked around. Used just aren't the deals they used to be, especially with my GM discount and the latest promotions (1500 off, ummm yay!). I used KBB to look for new vehicles and came up with exactly what I wanted. I settled on a new Sonic, falling in love with the mileage, the style and the price. I really wanted the dark blue, I would've settled for the dark grey but I did not want to settle. Matick had the most and the cheapest Sonics so here we came. We were met by John Shebat when we arrived. He was awesome. Low pressure, willing to take our lead. Patient when I wavered and looked at other models just to be sure. They had this purple Spark that I wanted for the paint job alone, the small car style is not for me but oh that purple! The Trax was nice but just too much car for me. Ditto on the pretty blue Equinox. I played Goldilocks quite nicely for a minute there. When I finally found the car that was just right John worked hard to get me the cheaper version of it, even going to the no man's land in the middle of the subdivision to get the same version car they had just delivered and was not even lot ready yet. It saved me over a thousand bucks. He was so very sweet, not in that fake hey anything for a sale way, he was just a really good guy. He treated both my husband and I well, addressing us both at all times and was not the type where they assume the man is going to take the lead or anything, that is a huge pet peeve of mine so kudos. Financing was great, they really will work to find you the payments that work best for you. Dealing with everyone there was just really stellar. I walked in at around 1:30 and was out the door well before four. Painless. Heck and plenty of free beverages while you wait. The one small lull we had was an excellent opportunity to check out their stellar collection of Corvettes for sale, not in our budget but fun to browse. I also love that this place is convenient on my way to work and hey I got free oil changes and tire rotations coming so that really works for me. I highly recommend Matick. I am a difficult customer but they made it super painless and easy for me. read more

WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!! I knew from years ago that I could not trust their body shop to provide great customer service. But it gets SO MUCH WORSE. I took delivery on a 2022 Suburban Premier on Friday, November 5, 2021, and because I had a lot of questions, and took my time reading over ALL of the signature pages and took pic of all the documents--in case they didn't provide copies in the end (AND THEY DIDN'T), the sales manager "Sam" walked into Courtney Klein's office where I was signing with the biggest scowl on his face, and told me that I was "taking way too long to sign these documents. And, I would much rather that you DIDN'T (emphasis here) buy the vehicle." Oh, and he added that he was pissed even more because Courtney Klein told him that I ACCUSED THEM of trying to embezzle $24 from me WHEN I DECLINED THE OPTIONAL ELECTRONIC FILING. What I said to Courtney Klein was "this seems like embezzlement." That's when she ran off to tell him that I was "taking the option to get my own plate. Isn't it like embezzlement if IT'S OPTIONAL but you wanna make me believe that IT'S LAW?!?! I was shook but not enough to satisfy him and deny myself. "Sam the Salesmanager" said "I'll send the $24 back to you." Let's see if that happens. TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, I told my salesman, Sam Shikwana, not to activate the OnStar, reminding him that since his boss said I was taking too long, I was not gonna spend any extra time going over anything I didn't care about. WHY DID I GET AN EMAIL FROM ONSTAR barely 24 hrs after I left the dealership notifying me of "Your November Diagnostics Report from Your Chevrolet Suburban." This man activated the OnStar WITHOUT MY PERMISSION--even choosing HIS OWN PASSWORD FOR MY VEHICLE!!! WTH??? He claims to be making so much money selling cars "for nineteen years" but he needed to ignore my wishes to make a few extra dollars ON TOP OF THE SALE, ON TOP THE SMALL DOWN PAYMENT. To be fair, if Sam Shikwana didn't steal my identity by creating the account, SOMEONE FROM MATICK CHEVROLET DID. I'll be on the phone with GM HQ customer service as soon as they open today. Been a while, but it's still true. Bought a used Jetta. It got as far as my driveway and died. After 2 hours getting bounced around on the phone while my daughter cried, they finally said they'd fix it. The car I paid them thousands for needed a new engine. That took more than 2 weeks. 5 days later, it died again. They told me that I can't expect a car to actually run when I buy it from Matick. Another couple hours on the phone (while my daughter cried) and they relented again. This time it was various worn-out parts connected to the engine, which they reused from the old one, and the used-up plugs from the junkyard engine they used the first time. This also took over 2 weeks. It very shortly died again. Phone for hours again, daughter crying, begging, arguments, threats, they finally gave in again. THIS time, they couldn't even figure it out. They kept the car for THREE weeks this time, then they said come get it, we don't know how to fix it. When I got there, no one even knew where the car was. The one in charge sent it to an outside shop and didn't bother telling anyone. The new place had it running in a day and a half, proving that Matick mechanics aren't worth crap. We've given up on this shitshow. The car has gone to a real mechanic 4 more times. I've shelled out about 2 grand, and I still need to disconnect the battery when it's parked or it'll die The only positive in this was the rental car office. ONE person managed to put forth some customer service effort, and that's because they only had to fill in a few boxes and hand me the keys. Needless to say, I'm not going back. My car a 2016 Cruz system froze during the first cold day we had. My radio locked on me and I had no idea what to do. I was really frustrated with all the maintenance I've had to put in this car ( I bought it used). I first called Genesis Chevrolet on Gratroit, and was told to take it to Matix Chevrolet since they were closer. I called them on a Friday of last week and they told my brother to bring the car in 2/5/2022 @ 12:20 p.m. There was no curteousness among the staff, they told me I was to drop off the car and leave it. I told the first manager I have never heard of any dealership this terrible advice normally they setup everthing over the phone with you???It was like take it or leave it. Yes I told the first manager I was not angry with him, but I was sick of this run-a-round Sh__. He said "OH" you cursed so were through talking" He walked away I got out of my car and went to the desk to speak to Mike another one of your managers, and I ask to speak with the CEO? Mike looked around and "stated whose that I'm the Manager here". We don't give out loaners after we have 30 and over out all ready, and No we don't give you any information? just bring the car in you may wait 2 hrs, you may wait 4 hrs depends on what they have to do to it. Mr. CEO I called a friend of mine in lenawee County and he told me exactly what to do, I did, and it did not cost $139.00 plus whatever else they wanted to stick on me. My radio is back to working. I'm a full grown working Michigan resident, I stood my ground then, and I will stand my ground now. I will come back and bring my witness who was with me. Unfortunately, I have to change my review as my salesman, Rodney, refuses to follow-up on a deal we had made regarding getting my windshield replaced as it was chipped on the day I purchased the vehicle. I have tried e-mailing and contacting him and the dealership several times, and have only gotten two responses - both of which were left open-ended without any follow-up. I would have gotten the vehicle fixed that day, however, Rodney said that no one was there on a Saturday to fix my windshield. In the last e-mail I received, he said, "The best time to get it done would be on the weekends...I'm about to schedule an appointment and let you know the time. If you need me to reschedule it, I will. I will be in touch here shortly." That was 6 days ago. I've spent a month, now, trying to get in touch with him regarding an appointment to get this completed. After writing a review online is when I finally got a legitimate response back. From there, we scheduled an appointment for Monday at 3. My wife waited at the dealership from 3-4PM until being told that we were unable to get our service done today and that the dealership would send a glass company to my work to do it since we waited for nothing. Finally, the job was done on Tuesday. Exactly one month from originally purchasing the car. Rodney was phenomenal in helping me secure the vehicle. Very nice, personable, and helpful.
