I was in this post office for the first time yesterday. I expected it to be nice as it looks well…read morefrom the outside. I was shocked first at the horrible stale smell in the air. The counter tops were grimy and disgusting, looking as if they had NEVER been cleaned - both over at the window and the service area. One of the staff was leaning back on his chair with a mug of tea in his hand and as he lowered his chair he gave a big open yawn without covering his mouth just as I was approaching the counter. I went to the woman beside him, who was pleasant and helpful. She gets the 1 star. This place needs a really good clean and some members of staff need a talk on professionalism! i see it's a ling time since a review has been posted.

I know, I know. I just gave a post office four stars. Now let me tell you why. I have never had to…read morebe here for more than five minutes. I am not kidding. Even when wiring money home, I am in and out in five minutes. Add to that all the staff are ridiculously nice. WHAAAAAT!?! Hard to believe, I know. But it is true. I wouldn't want to invite them for tea or anything, but still they make it so going to the post office isn't an absolute horror show. I didn't give it five stars because it is still a post office.

Here in Deans grange is a card & gift shop with a post office right in the middle of it... which makes sense when you need to send something to a loved one but have left it till last post the day before the special occasion .... There's a whole wife and anniversary joke here somewhere but damned if I can put it together. The shop is hallmark so funnily enough there are lost of 'cutesy' cards and cuddly toys and also a stationary section. The staff are friendly which you'd expect in a hallmark shop!
