The monkfish, my first time trying it fried, was delicious and perfectly fried in the traditional way in beef fat. The chips were also perfect and held up well to vinegar without going soppy! Sam, our waitress, took great care of us and the local pale ale was a fantastic accompaniment to the meal. Almost forgot to mention the black pudding - it was excellently paired with a perfectly made curry sauce! I would come back to Nottingham on my next trip just for this place alone!

On top of regular fish and chips there is a good selection of other foods including, sausages, pies, fritters and kebabs. The usual accompinments and sauces are available. The service is quick, efficient and I have always found them very friendly. The inside of the premises are well maintained and clean though the outside can sometimes look a little lack lustre. This is purely a takeaway with no eat in area. For good quality fish and chips at a ood price they haven't let me down yet and if anything have improved over the last few months.
