I have been to Bramalea City Centre (BCC) twice within a week. This mall is growing on me. I came here twice for Glam Bar Bazaar that does permanent jewellery. I first discovered it when I was in Winnipeg a couple of summers ago. I was pleased to get an evil eye bracelet recently, but had to return because this permanent bracelet fell off my wrist and required re-attaching. I do like this mall because it has shops and eateries that I love: - Gap Factory Store - Jollibee - Uniqlo - Pickle Barrel - CoCo Fresh Tea and Juice I don't frequent malls regularly. I am more an outlet shopper. What's cool about BCC is that it has a Gap Factory Store. I visited it twice. I scored decent deals, including a Minnie Mouse tote that was 60% off. I also got a comfy pair of pants that were 30% off. I love Jollibee. I've only ordered the pineapple quencher and peach mango pie at this eatery by mall entrance 1. It's because I have dined here twice and stopped by Jollibee before driving home. My first dining experience at this mall was at California Thai at the north food court. There's a McDonald's next door. California Thai has a lot of chicken options. Portions are generous. My combo was yummy. There's also a CoCo bubble tea place at the north food court. It was low on strawberries and other ingredients when I was there. The south food court is larger. It has Edo Japan, Burger King, Shanghai 360, and more. I look forward to eating here one of these days. I did use the washroom that was at the south food court. A downside to this mall is that there aren't a whole lot of public washrooms that are advertised and it's a fairly large mall. The women's washroom at this food court was clean. The north food court doesn't have washrooms. However, Gap Factory Store has washrooms by the change rooms and is your closest washroom. I recently ate at Pickle Barrel. It was huge and a nice change of pace. I was here for happy hour. Take advantage of the various happy hour deals. You do save a bit. The food and drinks were yummy. Both times, I parked by mall entrance 1. I was here after work and didn't have any issues finding parking. It was great. I do find the touch-screen mall directory to be confusing. I used the directory online to figure out where to go instead. It would be helpful if you got a marker that said that you're here on this directory for new mall visitors like me. I like this mall. When I'm driving home along highway 7, it's convenient for me to grab a drink from either Wendy's or Tim Hortons. It's a combo store. They each have their own drive-thru, which is spacious. I had an early dinner at Denny's last week. It was one of the better experiences that I had at any Denny's. Service was stellar. The food and drink were yummy. There is plenty of parking. The only concern that I have is dealing with drivers who do their own thing and seem to forget that they may impacting other drivers in a public setting. As an example, I was leaving Wendy's after having bought a drink. A man in a pickup truck decided to swirl around without a signal or warning, just to back into a spot. Way too much excitement for my liking. He made a gesture with his hand that he appreciated my waiting for him. I didn't have a choice. The outrage that I had was unexpected! I did a search and found this one in Mississauga. It didn't take long to get here from downtown Oakville. It was around ten minutes. I pulled into Millway Shopping Centre (it's really a plaza) and didn't have a problem finding a parking spot. I backed into one and headed over to the store. There was a female panhandler in front of the store that was asking for money. It was my second time being asked for change in front of a Giant Tiger. The problem is that I don't carry change with me, especially during a pandemic when I pay using either a credit or debit card. I told her that detail and walked into the store. I like that there's a greeter at the store when you walk in these days. It's twofold. It's to make sure that the store doesn't exceed the maximum capacity of folks shopping. It is also to check that you're wearing a mask. She was nice and said hi. I reciprocated. My goal was to get avocados and celery. I achieved it with flying colours. There were two displays of avocados. One display had ripe ones. The other one wasn't as ripe. I always get the six-pack of avocados and they are cheap at under $3. I saw a woman taking celery out of a box and putting them into the produce section. I asked if she could hand me a couple from the box. She was great and handed them over to me. They were so fresh. I felt so VIP with my celery! Although I haven't done much shoe browsing during this pandemic, I loved the sneakers here. Sadly, they offer women's shoe sizes from 6 to 9. Such a bummer for someone who swears a size 11! I haven't seen Squishmallows at Giant Tiger stores in months. It was the case at this store. Instead, I looked at larger baby Yoda plushies. I had enough willpower to not buy one. There wasn't a huge lineup at the checkout. I had a nice woman help cash me out. I decided to finally sign up for GT VIP mailing list and took a leaflet on how to do it. She was nice. I paid, got my goodies, and wished her a good day. I realize that this visit was my first at any Giant Tiger in Mississauga. I tend to visit GT stores in Etobicoke, Scarborough, and Stouffville the most. My most recent trip was to secure a pair of snow pants so I can walk outside on the chilly days. They only had about 6 pairs of black snow pants hanging on a rack with minimal sizing this time - I guess people had the same idea as me and beat me to it. I grabbed a pair that were a bit larger for me but could be tied. For the amount i'd use them - $30 seemed fine? They were shiny in the material and basically looked like i was wearing garbage bags but - it's fine. I roamed to the mens side of things and ended up trying on a smaller mens size with a more muted black material - winner! They were also $5 cheaper than the woman's - score! Are they flattering? NO. The store itself is pretty spacious and well organized. It's not super fancy or anything, but it's clean and easy to navigate, which I liked. They have a mix of everything (clothes, home stuff, snacks, random finds) so you can just walk around and browse for a while. What really stood out to me was how many dupes they had. I had seen a video online highlighting all the cool things they sell at Giant Tiger and so I was influenced to go check it out. However, I wasn't expecting to see so many cool items. There were so many items that reminded me of more expensive brands, but for way cheaper! Prices overall are really reasonable, and you can definitely find some solid stuff if you take your time looking around. I ended up seeing a yellow glow on a gloomy early afternoon. It was Giant Tiger. In my head, I was thinking whether I needed anything grocery-wise. I did need avocados. I had one left at home, so I decided to pay this store a visit. It looked new from the outside. I parked. There was plenty of parking. I proceeded to walk in. It felt more spacious than the GT that I visit in Whitchurch-Stouffville. I saw a brand of rye bread that I haven't seen since my days in Winnipeg. I used to get it all the time back then. There was a husband-wife couple walking in front of me. The man, in particular, was loud. He was doing most of the talking. A GT employee politely asked that he put on his mask. No wonder he was so loud. He walked in with his mouth fully flapping away. The grocery section is impressive. The produce looked fresh and inviting. I found my bag of avocados and was happy. There were more frozen food items than I have ever seen at any GT store. The cheese section had fancy varieties, such as dill and garlic. I had to get some. Even the egg offerings were diverse. Hard-boiled eggs. Liquid eggs (both yokes and whites). Liquid eggs (whites only). I was incredibly impressed. I am still not sure why plants are considered essential during this lockdown. I keep saying that it's because we need the oxygen-carbon dioxide exchange to live, but I don't know if my theory holds true. I lined up at the checkout area. The loud man with his wife were behind me. They were the only downside to my experience, but I was happy that I was ahead of him, because I could avoid dealing with his loudness by leaving the store first. The woman cashing me out was nice. She asked for my VIP membership number. You simply say your phone number and the GT employee can enter it into the system. I paid using my debit card and declined getting a plastic bag.
