I am a working Mom with a large family and have no time to be creative. The problem is- I KNOW WHAT I LIKE. I needed someone to come into my home, understand me and my tastes, and help me design one large room...soup to nuts. I did not want someone to "tell" me what their vision was.....I wanted them to look at my home, see what I like- and make suggestions around that. We are not a high design family, and I have always been reluctant to utilize a designer for fear of that. Laura is the answer to my prayers. She is down to earth, imaginative, enthusiastic, and a true professional. She is a designer chameleon in that she can meld to whatever your style is. She has the BEST connections- contractors galore, fabric contacts, window treatment & pillow resources, custom woodworkers.... and she can vouch for them all!!!! Her finished work was beyond my expectations, and within my budget and timeframe expectations. I've talked to other designers about sound concerns before, but their advice has mostly been "have you tried curtains?" Stephanie had clear, practical advice and a partner she trusted -- and her solutions were far less expensive than I had been fearing! She's great at keeping a project moving, and we had substantial improvements in a very short period of time. The kitchen in particular is a much more enjoyable place to spend time. On the whole, the space is much brighter, quieter, and has much more positive energy. We have 2 other children in the house daily with a learning pod, and I'm very happy we did this project. Once we started knocking down the noise level, it was clear what a big impact it was having on us!

His craftsmanship and pride in his work is evidenced by the care he takes in making the draperies. In addition, he is meticulous when it comes to installation making sure everything is operating correctly and hanging just right. He also reupholstered my thirty year old dining room chairs and they look brand new. He's very hands on and willing to work with the customer - we laid fabric on the floor and debated for 30 minutes how to best showcase a particular flower in the pattern. It's refreshing to find someone who isn't daunted by my request to move something a quarter of an inch!
