Had a wonderful dinner here tonight!! Pasta was amazing and the restaurant decor was beautiful! The wooden sign outside was hard to see at night (since we were unfamiliar with the area). Food came out quick, however we didn't see our server much after for refills (restaurant only had a few tables seated, no wait). We asked for dessert and decided on the Fat Boy Giant Brownie!!!! Our server told us it was 4 brownies with all the fixings so we decided to share. Yeah needless to say for $7 we received 1 small brownie cut in half, description is not accurate for what is brought to table. read more

Went into Georgia Blue to get some coffee while I was in downtown Brookhaven. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how charming this cafe is. I immediately saw the display case full of really amazing-looking desserts. If it had not been so early in the morning, I would have ordered one! I did end up getting one of those nitro cold brews with ice and cream. It had a bold great flavor and was just what I needed to get going in the morning. Georgia Blue does have real half and half, as opposed to artificial creamer, but it comes in the individual containers and the staff will add it to your coffee for you. It will be helpful to know how many individual creamers you may need when you order. Luckily, you can have as many as you need with no additional charge. My mom and I traveled from New Bern, NC and decided to stop in Brookhaven, MS to visit one of my good friends from high school. Since we still had about 10 hours of driving the next day, we decided to stop here at Georgia Blue to grab a late dinner and catch up. First I want to start off by saying we ordered the fried crawfish tails, the Georgia Blue Nachos, and the turnip green bites. Absolutely phenomenal! Everything was cooked to perfection, it was flavorful, and the presentation was creative. I was skeptical about the turnip green bites, but our server swore they were the rage at this restaurant. He was right, they were definitely worth every bite! Next I would like to give credit to our server Hunter. He was attentive, extremely friendly, and was very engaged in our first time experience at Georgia Blue. He truly showed us the true definition of southern charm and hospitality. I would recommend anyone to take the exit to come see Hunter at Georgia Blue. The staff could not calculate correct change to be given for a cash transaction. On top of that, the cash register did not have enough cash in it. Staff had to wait on bar tending staff to get change. Pitiful service. Georgia Blue is a new restaurant I discovered while visiting my hometown. It is in the heart of Brookhaven, but as soon as you walk in, you forget that you are in Brookhaven. Georgia Blue has traces of small town flavor with it's "Blue Plate" daily specials that seem to be a hit with locals. Also, since alcohol is now legal in Brookhaven, (CHEERS!!!!) Georgia Blue has a full bar. The cocktails are great! Georgia Blue really sticks with its theme. Meals are served in platters made from old license plates. (Don't worry, the platters are clean and lined with signature parchment paper). The portion sizes are really filling, even for lunch. On my last visit, I ordered the Creole Spinach Dip with crawfish cream sauce as an appetizer. It is really good. The crostini's are just like Lay's potato chips, as in, you can't eat just one! For my entree, I ordered the Hodge Podge Po-Boy. You can have this Po-Boy any way you want, choosing two options. The options are: Fried jumbo shrimp, fried crawfish, fried oysters, or fried catfish. Lettuce, tomato, pickle and remoulade make the Po-Boy complete. (I always ask for extra remoulade. For those who don't know, extra sauce, is one of my closest friends!) Prices are reasonable. I really like the variety of menu options. There's something for everyone. There's even options for those family members who like homestyle cooking. I would recommend Georgia Blue to family and friends. It is a great place to go if you are in Brookhaven and want to have appetizers and drinks. I'll be back, the next time I'm in Brookhaven. Food was good but you might as well go to Cracker Barrel. This restaurant clearly can't handle a party of 10 on a Sunday with no one else in the restaurant. Food took an hour and a half to come out. We couldn't even get napkins for the table until we were pretty much finished eating. Food wasn't even close to coming all out at the same time some of it was wrong. I get times are tough but you could literally hear a pin drop while we were in here so it shouldn't have been this bad of an experience. read more

Been here a few times. This town needs this restaurant. There is a good bar with great local selection and really good service! The areas that were lacking were mostly on the menu. The steak is very over-priced for what I got. I felt that the temp was way off, I wanted medium- rare, but it was closer to medium- well. The barbecue chips were okay. Appetizers were fabulous! Really didn't know what to get kinda wanted to try their steak but was too pricey for me to try with not having a friend recommend it. I settled with a hamburger steak meal. It was cooked perfect, medium as requested. Possibly the worst hamburger steak I've ever ate. Was ground so fine it was like mush and flavoring made it taste like a cross between spam and potted meat. My wife and two children ate a chicken dish, a shrimp and pasta dish and fish dish that were all top notch meals. Can't give a bad review for me ordering a dish that doesn't suit my taste. Overall fun night with the family celebrated my wife's birthday and enjoyed our time. We stopped at the Georgia Blue while we were on the Blues Trail. We asked about the Little Brother Montgomery Blues Trail marker. Our server didn't know where the marker is. He said he's from New Orleans. We used an app to find the marker. The food was good. Everything came out in a timely manner. Portion size was good. I ordered the Monday Blue Plate which was a country fried steak, but the waiter brought baked chicken. I ate the baked chicken. Perhaps I didn't need a country fried steak. My son had an issue with his prepaid debit card when attempting to pay for his meal. Funds were there but the card continued to be declined. He called me for assistance as the general manager said she had been advised by her boss to call the police. I offered to give a different card by phone since it was 1000 pm and no way to call the bank to find out the issue. I was told they must have the card in hand for security purposes in order to charge another card. I respectfully tried everything to rectify the situation to prevent a 50 mile round trip to bring another card at now, 1030 pm. However, the management refused all of our attempts to take care of the problem other than involving the police. I made the 50 mile trip to bring another card so Brookhaven police officers could take care of real criminals. I totally understand policies, procedures, and security measures but the management's unwillingness to try to work with the customer made little sense to me. This was not an attempt to get something for nothing. We were trying to pay for the food that was ordered and eaten. And we did just that. read more
