I…read morewas switched to Dr. Patel after Dr. Sankoorikal left, and I am terribly disappointed with the service I've received. My first visit with him was just ok. He doesn't come off as caring, he's not very personable, and I just didn't get a good feeling from him. I had my second visit with him today, and it was terrible. I told him my problem, he asked a couple questions, did a brief exam, then prescribed some medication. I then let him know I had something else to discuss, and he told me I couldn't. He said, "with these 15 minute ones, they want me to stick to one thing". He then said, well if it's quick I can try to help, while standing at the partially open door. Of course I declined at that point. He then said "they want us to do one thing well instead of two things shitty". I felt totally rushed and uncomfortable, and I was actually taken back by his remark. IMO we don't know each other well enough to use cuss words in a professional setting. Especially when I'm on the losing side of the conversation. I've never had a doctor that refused to help me. I could possibly understand if we were close to the 15 minute mark, but we weren't. I spoke with him for less than 10 minutes.This was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a doctor's appointment, and I will not be returning. The rest of the staff is warm and friendly. I've always had great interactions with them. Maybe the other doctors here do a better job of making their patients feel heard, but Ashish Patel certainly DOES NOT.

He takes the time to explain everything and show me what he is talking about. I told him what was going on with my sight and he was able to tell me exactly what Che issue was. I took his recommendation for treatment and within the week my sight was already better. Not only that he took the time to forward his notes directly to my Rheumatologist so she would be aware of the issue - he said he extremely dry eyes could be caused by issues she could test me for, to make sure I was ok. I love it when doctors are thorough and communicate. I feel like they are truly interested in making sure I get the best care. The entire staff at the PTC office is absolutely amazing! Our 13 yo son had received several…read moreallergy shots several weeks in a row (for seasonal allergies) with only very mild reactions or no reaction at all. However, last night he did have a more severe reaction, just before the 15 min observation period was over. Thanks to Danielle's (MA) THOROUGH education on signs/symptoms of anaphylaxis during our first visit, my son immediately recognized his symptoms, and notified me. Danielle *believed* him, then assessed him quickly and calmly. Within 1-2 minutes, his symptoms progressed, so she calmly notified other staff who arrived in seconds. Amanda, NP, Brandy, NP, and Jacob, NP were all extremely professional, calm, and thorough as they monitored and cared for my son. Three staff stayed with us for 2 hours until all of us (my son included) agreed that he was stable and safe to go home. Dr. Agrawal was in constant communication with his staff throughout the episode via phone (even though he was at an event for his new office) to ensure my son was improving, and to stay informed. He and Amanda also requested I update them later that night via cell phone to ensure my son was still all good. This was so comforting to my husband and I!! Again, I cannot stress enough how valuable the education on anaphylaxis was to my son and myself! Danielle explained the information in a simple, concise and easy-to-understand way that my son obviously remembered! He knew something was happening to his body because of that education, and he felt confident to speak up. Now if anything were to ever happen to him outside of that office (heaven forbid!!), he feels 100% confident he can handle it and knows he will make it through unscathed! That is so comforting to this Mama!! Danielle, Amanda, Brandy and Jacob--THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! You all made such a difference in our lives last night!
