I do not highly recommend going to Georgia Thomas. I paid around $4000 for paperwork and for about 45 minutes in court. Which she didn't even bother to drive to, even though she had promised to do so. Instead she was allowed to do a through the phone. When going paperwork to help establish child support with my ex-wife she didn't bother to check my her income. She just took my ex-wife's attorney's word that was her average income. I was kept in the dark about most of the process of my case. I was working overseas and never had any follow up emails about any steps to finish the divorce. Nor was there any information about the next step would be. When I came home for mediation and called her office to setup an appointment to prep for the mediation. I was told that she would call me back and never did. Instead she sent me a copy of her filing saying she didn't want to be my attorney anymore to the court. All without even saying anything to me. I always paid her on time and paid her the full amount. But after she filed to withdraw, she sent me a $200 bill for her "time" it took to file to withdraw. I seriously do not recommend. You will not have great service or experience. The billboards are a nice advertisement for her but don't be fooled. read more

I filed for divorce in 2013 and hired this attorney. She was ok-not great, but would show up for court late and also lost her paralegal due to "domestic violence issues" very suddenly and made lewd remarks on the fact that the paralegal was "missing" and was very harsh and seemingly careless about the situation that her paralegal may have been in. I found this incredibly unprofessional and immediately saw red flags. My children and I were also going through domestic violence at that time, which was not disclosed to her, but it should go without saying that a good, decent divorce attorney should be careful when it comes to certain subjects. At that time, I decided to reconcile, but she never even closed out my case and kept the rest of the retainer anyways! When I went to file for divorce again in 2016 (nearly 2 years later) is when i discovered that the first case was never closed. Being unfamiliar with the legal process (hence the reason why ppl hire attorneys in the first place) and suffering from a rare brain disease shortly after reconciling in 2014, I was even more disgusted by her professional ethics to have put me and my children in a situation where it appeared as though I had an open divorce for that long. To top it off, I recently requested my file from her, where she at first blew me off saying they are in storage-but as I kept pushing the issue- she has only given me emails of court records and an empty pdf, nothing more, all of which consisted of a few emails, with several of the same (duplicate) emails. She knows she did wrong and I dont usually ever write reviews about ppl/businesses...but in this case, when someone is dealing with your LIFE, the LIFE and FUTURE of your CHILDREN (who have already suffered so much), while taking thousands upon thousands of dollars, I have to speak up. I want to warn others from making the mistake of choosing/hiring this lawyer. I know lawyers dont have the best reputation, but there are some who truly do care and will have you and your childrens best interest at heart, while not grossly overcharging you. When I went to refile in 2016, after thoroughly researching candidates, (a lot more in depth this time around) I hired Mr. Clark Henderson. At that time, he was at a law practice called Campbell & Henderson, and was literally sent by God himself. Completely different experience with him, which I will write a separate review. I have used plenty of attorneys in my life, and have never really had a good experience with any of them. I simply sought Mrs. Thomas out for a quick consult, and walked away with so much more. She had gone way above, and beyond. Her experience and information was instrumental in my ever changing divorce situation. Other then never getting married in the fist place, if I had to go back and do it all over again, I would hire and retain Mrs. Thomas. read more

Extremely unprofessional. Cracks under pressure. Inflates numbers if you are getting a bad deal so she feels/looks better about herself. Then she likes to storm out of the room if you point out her mistakes. I would be terrified of going into a court setting with her. She tells you everything you want to hear to get hired, then changes drastically once crunch time comes around and acts like you are crazy. Thank so much Mrs. Thomas. For nothing. read more

I could never have imagined being more disappointed in my divorce attorney. Ms. Georgia Thomas quoted me a certain figure on a "contested divorce", and then proceeded to blow that $ amount out of the water. I ended up paying somewhere between 2-3X the original quoted amount. And all that, with about 25 total minutes of court time. I have no idea how she racked up the charges she did. Not saying at all that Ms. Georgia Thomas fudged the numbers. (I'd have no way of knowing that.) Just saying she is very expensive and more importantly, performed TERRIBLY in my case. The opposing attorney (who btw, carried herself like an absolute rookie, bumbling, disorganized) ran circles around Ms. Georgia Thomas. Never in my worst nightmares could I have imagined a worse outcome in my case. In addition, Ms. Thomas was rude to me on several occasions. Yes, her paying client. I dismissed her attitude and treatment of me as simply her "style" and figured it would translate in my favor once we stepped into court. Wrong! Ms. Georgia Thomas could not have performed worse (in my opinion). Ms. Thomas advertises very aggressively. This is why I chose her. Bad decision on my part. In short, I would NOT recommend Ms. Thomas to anyone. read more
