I recently deposited $15,000 in cash at Wells Fargo. About 4 days later I noticed a fee charged to…read moremy account of $23.50. I contacted customer 'No Support' and was told it was a fee charged for depositing cash into my bank account. Imagine that, a bank that charges to deposit money into the Bank. No one advised me there would be a charge if I made a cash deposit into my account and Voilà it appears. What a sneaky lot of crooks. Customer support said in their defense it was a Federal Government rule that allows banks to charge their customers for large cash deposits...haha. I guess if I deposited goats or chickens they wouldn't charge me. Long and short of this silliness is they removed the charge as a courtesy this time, but they warned me if I did it again I could be charged. What a bank!!! You should avoid these guys like toxic waste or cancer. They attack you at the front door smiling frim ear to ear while their hands are reaching in your pockets and body cavities for cash.

After closing on our mortgage, which was a nightmare in itself, I got an email saying one of my paystubs didn't have year to date on it....when it did. Do NOT recommend at all.

They are Thieves! We told them we did not want bounce protection on our debit card. We didnt want…read moreit to be able to be overdrawn. When the money is gone the card stops. Sounds easy enough right? well They turned it on without permission and racked us up with over 500 in overdraft fees. We got screwed but stayed with them and told them to make sure the bounce protection is OFF from now on. Well they messed around and did it to us again a few months later. That overdraft crap is crap. Just a way for the bank to make a ton of money. It doesnt help the customer in any way whatsoever! 35 bucks every time you swipe and there is no money in your account. Swipe it for a candy bar and pay 35 overdraft. Wouldnt it make more sense for the card not to work when there is no money in that account? I have been at Wells Fargo for a year now and love them and I have had no issue like that there. Stay far away from capital city.
