Yet another well maintained and relaxing rest area welcome center heading east on I-20. The Georgia peach welcomes you on various signs. There are several covered picnic tables outside to choose from. In the lobby you can find a lottery vending machine, something I haven't seen at any other welcome center. It seems to be Georgia's response to the casinos in the Mississippi states. Bathrooms are decent. Not a paper towel in sight, which is environmentally friendly but the air dryers are the old, slow, push button style. The info center had just closed when I came through, but I noticed they had cornhole boards inside. This is probably a nice, happening place when it's open. read more

Super busy welcome center! Thankfully , this facility can accommodate a lot of people. Popped in just to use the restroom. Clean restrooms. I also wanted more coffee and they offered free coffee. It wasn't to my liking but it did the trick. The welcome center has a ton of useful information available to people passing through the Georgia line. I have stopped here many times and it's always clean and a great place to take a break from the road. Dogs welcomed! read more

It was a little after 9 pm 10 weeks ago when we stopped here to use the restroom and stretch our legs as we were nearing the end of our return road trip from SoCal to Atlanta. The Welcome Center/Information Center was closed, so we weren't able to see it. The restrooms were clean. Lots of available parking. It was dark, so we weren't able to see very much. In the building, there was an ATM machine, vending machines with cold bottled and canned drinks, and packaged snacks. We didn't stack long since we were very anxious to finally get back home. read more

Most recently the baby was fussy so I pulled in here to see what I could do to help calm her down. There's plenty of parking, bathrooms are clean, and employees are friendly. Nice welcome center. Includes a dog walk area, vending machines, scratch off machines, and free coffee! There is someone at the reception desk asking where you are from, where you are going and if you need information or a map. Bathrooms were well kept. Very clean. Shockingly, one of the nicest rest stops on 1-20! Ample parking and very nicely shaded and spaced picnic tables. It can get very busy/crowded (at least it was insanely busy when I stopped) so please be aware of pedestrians and cars backing out as it is a one way in/out sitch. The bathroom were very clean and lots of stalls. No paper towels, just the hand dryers, so they are doing their part to be "green". I particularly liked that they had a filter water filling station by the drinking fountains! The water was actually really good and cold, too! It didn't taste like chlorinated sewage water like most drinking water at these types of rest-stops do. When open, they have an informative welcome desk w/lots of pamphlets and maps and they even have an ATM machine inside! read more

A welcome center at the border of Alabama and Georgia heading from Tuscaloosa to Atlanta. This welcome center has bunches of information and helpful folks who know about the local attractions. There are also clean bathrooms and free wifi. I'm a fan. The place looks well lit and is quite open. I felt safe here. read more

This welcome center is located just a few miles into the Georgia state line after crossing over from Alabama. The last time I came through this area, the welcome center was closed due to re-doing their welcome centers throughout the state at the time. This welcome center has plenty of parking available. They have one side for cars and the other side is for trucks. Also, remember to change the time on your watch, as you have just crossed over from the Central Time Zone to Eastern Time Zone, so you'll want to make sure to adjust your watch(es) accordingly if they don't automatically adjust. This welcome center comes with many amenities. They have staff there from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm ET daily and the restrooms are open from 7 am to 11 pm ET daily. The staff here are quite friendly and will help you look at traffic information as you go along. I usually check about Atlanta traffic as it tends to be a nightmare going through there. This welcome center also has free WiFi. They also sell lottery tickets there, so it was worth getting a few since the jackpots for the Mega Millions and Power Ball were both over $300 million at the time. Inside the building, you will also find clean and well maintained restrooms. There is plenty of information about the state at this welcome center. There is a small gift shop as well, but didn't go in. They also have vending machines for snacks, drinks, and such as well. Outside, the grounds were well maintained, and there's quite a bit of open spaces. There are many areas for picnic tables, both covered and uncovered, as well as areas to walk around and relieve your pet if needed as well. They even provide bags and a trash can for you to use to clean up afterwards. Overall, this was a great welcome center to stop at. After all of the updates and changes, Georgia definitely has some of the better welcome centers than I have experienced with other states. If your travels take you this way, be sure to stop in. You won't be disappointed. read more

stopped here for the night to shut down on 11-5-24. i got up around 3 a.m. something to use their restroom and noticed another driver walking away from the building saying the restrooms / doors are closed/ locked and he doesnt not why. so i myself checkef the doors and they were locked. there were no signs indicating that this rest area was closed for maintenance, etc. i checked the hours of operations and if said they open at 7 a.m. but that should be the information center part. why would the rest rooms be closed too ? that's crazy ! read more

A convenient stop as you are traveling I20 westbound out of Alabama. The areas before and after the state line don't offer the most consistent stops for a restroom break, but I always feel confident that this Welcome Center will be clean and well managed. It begins with enough parking spots that you always feel close, even for a busy day. The grounds are always well kept and I have yet to feel unsafe when I stop. If you need a place for a picnic or a spot to walk the pooch, there are picnic tables and open grassy areas for those needs. There are enough trees to offer ample shade on a hot July afternoon if you are looking to get out of your car on a long trip. The bathrooms are big and well kept. Clean bathrooms are important to me and I feel confident that this place will meet my expectations. Inside you'll also find an area full of brochures for all things Georgia. From Savannah to Atlanta and from Rome to Macon...it's all there. There is usually a very sweet lady working the counter to make you feel welcome and to answer all your questions. Traveling to Georgia to gamble? Never fear as there is a machine inside for you to get your scratch off tickets. Kinda silly, but if that's your thing...there you go. A recommended stop for families, pet owners, or people with full bladders. Stop for a short jaunt or stay a little while, you'll feel good about this place. read more

Crossing from Alabama into Georgia, you'd really never notice, except that they have welcome stations. This was a very nice stop, with very polite employees and a very clean bathroom. The vending machines were all in working order and provided a nice selection of items to choose from, including ice cream. They even have Georgia Lottery machines to buy from. read more

Looks like a nice rest stop but i travel ALOT and have never witnessed a rest area that closes the restrooms at a certain time . We pulled up right before 11 and it was already closed . Being the first stop coming from Alabama it would be a big help to night drivers to have some place to relieve themselves at all times of night in my opinion . Not the best rest area we have seen on this trip; sure the bathrooms are clean. But for those late night drivers, the bathrooms are closed. Maybe install another building for those night drivers. A lot of parking spots sure, but make sure you don't have to go or you are bad out of luck. read more

Super clean! This rest stop gets a huge mom thumbs up from this mom of 4! Finding a clean comfortable rest stop while traveling is almost like finding a needle in a haystack! It was well lit and the grounds were well maintained. Plenty of parking. There was a safe place to walk your dog and benches to sit or stretch your legs. read more

This is the NICEST rest stop! So nice that I'm writing a Yelp review! The people who work here are so gosh darned friendly! The restrooms are always clean and in good condition. There is good lighting in the restrooms. There is even a sanitary handle on the door, so you don't have fo get your freshly washed hands dirty! Y'all!!! Then, when you come out, there are Lotto machines. Bathrooms and the lottery? Now, there's the real jackpot! Outside, the grounds are nice, and they play music for you by famous Georgia artists. Having lived in both Alabama and Georgia, I've stopped at this location quite often. The grounds are always well kept, the people are super friendly, and the bathrooms are always clean. What makes this stop slightly different is that they have a gift shop with lots of information as to what's going on in Georgia and on occasions, they'll have coupons to give away. read more
