History
Established in 2022.
Since childhood, Georgie had always loved photography, but never had the time or resources to pursue it professionally. The opportunity arose when she was made redundant in 2020 from a successful career as a television production manager. Using her redundancy payout, she invested in high-end camera equipment and began learning professional photography during COVID.
During lockdown, she practiced portraiture on herself as well as taking animals and bird portraits. Soon, friends and colleagues began asking her to take their LinkedIn headshots, and Georgie Greene Photography was born. It was then that she discovered her natural talent for putting nervous sitters at ease.
Since then, Georgie has photographed people from all walks of life. She treats every client as unique, tailoring each session to highlight their personality. Every photo shoot is a collaborative, creative experience designed to bring out the very best in her subjects.
Meet the Business Owner: Georgie G.
After 23 years in Australian broadcast media leadership, Georgie answered her artistic calling, transitioning into professional photography, a passion nurtured since her father gifted her a camera at eight. A top 5% graduate from The Photography Institute and holder of a BA (Hons) in art and history of art from Cambridge, UK, Georgie mastered the art of composition, light, and colour.
As a lifelong artist, she extends her creative talents to oil paintings and digital art but views her camera as another paintbrush, and the available light as her palette. Georgie specialises in portrait photography and combines her creativity with her genuine love for people, to capture a unique essence in every portrait.
While her profession centres around people, Georgie's other passion lies in wildlife and environmental photography. Outside of her paid photography work, she relishes spending time in nature and travelling, encapsulating the enchanting world that surrounds us
