Also, at times it feels like being in a particular cultural's nail salons, which I do not support because of their rudeness and the fact that they take our money then treat us like ____ and talk about their customers. Yesterday was my first time not scheduling an appointment with my braider. I decided to walk in (which is welcomed) since my work schedule changed without advanced notice. I was the first person parked at the salon. I sat in my car until my braider arrived to open the salon. A lady and her daughter ran to the door. This happens all of the time, but again, I usually have an appointment. They sat in the chairs first. I was told that one of the others would do my hair when they arrive shortly after. I said no thank you I"ll come back another day and proceeded to leave. My braider asked that I wait 1.5 hours for her. I was patient and waited 2.5 hours before I was called to the chair. I did not say a word nor did I complain. I was good! The customer that ran to the chair first did complain and walked out of the salon because she did not want to switch braiders. My braider started on my head anyway. Shortly after, the first customer complained again and I was switched to another braider. I stated that I wanted to wait for my braider of 3 years if she didn't mind. Another young lady beside me stated that she was also waiting for my braider because she was recommended by someone. She refused to allow anyone to do her hair. Another lady walked in at the same time and stated that she had an appointment with my braider. She was placed with someone else. I am not a chair hopper and I do not allow any and everyone to do my hair. It's not going to happen. For reasons unknown, Makou's daughter decided to address me directly with an attitude by stating that "the other braider can braid and everyone in the salon can braid". I calmly responded, "I understand, but no thank you". She seemed very bothered and aggravated. The other customers seemed to be aware that she had issue with me not wanting anyone else to do my hair as well. Two other customers quickly chimed in to back her up by repeating that the other ladies can braid and it makes no sense for people to request a specific braider. There was no need for me to respond to them. I was a paying customer and I could have left 3 hours earlier when I stated that I wanted "my braider to braid my hair whenever she finished the customer in her chair ". I was at the salon first and it had already been established that the lady in the chair, her daughter, nor myself had an appointment, but she was allowed to get in the chair although I was at the salon 20 mins before anyone arrived. Makou's daughter was not aware that I was the first customer and had requested "my braider" before she arrived. Either way, nothing should have been said to me about it. My Braider stated that she would do my hair and that should have been the end of the conversations. I should have been able to sit and wait in peace as I was doing. I'm not sure if it's a cultural thing or a lack of respect, but someone needs to say something because I've seen it happen with others in the past. No one has the right to chastise a non-confrontational paying customer who chooses to patronize your business and/or a particular person at that business. It is the customer's choice to have whomever they want to pay to do their hair. If that is a problem, it should be stated at the time the customer walks into the salon.

Since I was a new client she stayed very conservative, which I think is much better than aggressively hacking away. I loved the online scheduling and IMO she under charged!
