The new owner is fantastic! I was driving into town for a funeral. I called and explained I wanted an arrangement in a red pickup truck because my Uncle Tom loved his red truck. She didn't have anything in the shop but offered to locate one. She took pictures of old trucks and sent me text to get my approval. She even painted the truck red. The flowers were beautiful. Service, Dedication, Expedience, Pleasant, Extra-mile. This floral shop can offer none of these attributes. I placed an order on Geraldine's direct website on February 12th for an arrangement to be sent to my fiances work on Valentines Day and it never got there. I called mid-day and an elderly women (one of many there) answered and quickly told me that all the orders were out for the day. She didn't even bother to check my order number or name to see if they actually had it. I called again at about 4:30PM and I was told she had about 15 people in line so she couldn't help but would take a number to call me back. Once she called back she stated she had gone through all her orders back to January and couldn't find my order Suddenly it became my problem, and somethings wrong on my end since I placed the order online through their Teraflora Network that processes their orders. OK...how is it that I have a confirmation email and order number then? I advised I could forward the order through email but she said she can only accept it by fax? It's hard to find an extremely rude person in this industry, but recently I had the misfortune of Geraldine's Florist. If you want a truely rude experience just visit this shop. You are better off by going to Kroger or Publix and buying flowers and delivering them yourself rather that the abuse you will get from this florist. read more

I ordered through 1800 flowers which was processed by Geraldine's florist. I live out of state, with 6 hours time difference and needed flowers sent for a funeral. I received a call from an employee named Nita, who began to yell at me because the address I had sent did not have any recipient at that location. At first, I did not understand what she was saying and asked her to clarify. She continued to yell "there is no one there." I asked her politely to stop yelling as I had just experience a death and just wanted to try and understand what I needed to do next to get my order completed. She argued with me and said she was trying to help, all the meanwhile yelling. What she had been trying to say, is that there was not a service for the deceased at the address I had given. I asked her if there was a way to cancel or changed the location of delivery, to which her reply was "you have to figure that out." Then proceeded to yell "I don't know what you did, I just got this order and called you to tell you there was no body by that name." She even had the nerve to make a say "well if the person becomes deceased, we could deliver it there." I had given the wrong funeral home address when I ordered it only and asked her if there was a way to adjust the delivery location. She did not know. She kept insisting that I need to figure it out, but provided no assistance in how I might do so. I can understand if she was not sure how I placed my order or what 1800 flowers policies are, but to not even attempt to offer assistance or possible solutions is silly. I was so disgusted by the lack of sensitivity and shear rude demeanor that I ended the call after that. I work in customer service and can understand how stressful and difficult it can be, BUT that is no excuse for the terrible attitude of this person. I will not be giving this florist my patronage and I would not recommend it to anyone. I can't even speak to the quality of the product because I cancelled the order and found a new florist with better customer service. By the way, 1800 flowers representative was very help and friendly. She apologized for my experience and make the changes. I would use that service again. read more
