Helen herself looked after my friend, helping her try the different styles and discussing options in styles, fabrics and cuts. At one stage she happily obliged with pulling down a manican so my friend could try the dress. She was attentive, helpful and friendly. Completely relaxed with us taking photos of the dresses so we could discuss them later. We went to a number of different stores but nowhere else was the service as good. On Monday, just 2 days later, we picked up the dress and ready the fly out the next day to Queenstown NZ. Gladys is wonderful along with all of her sales staff on the floor. We just encountered a rude lady upstairs in the fitting area as we were picking up the dress who refused to tell us her name after I called her out on bad customer service. We had the expectation of trying on the dress one last inspection before signing anything or walking out. We had to repeat ourselves 3x that "yes we would like to try on the dress one final time...." This lady kept saying she wasn't the one who adjusted the dress. We didn't care about if she adjusted the dress or not. She's full of insecurities and her attitude started to escalate therefore I stopped it right there by asking her "when you applied for your job there should've been a level of good quality customer service, am I correct?" That is when she realized and she began to correct herself by calming down her selfish unprofessional attitude. She then gotten paranoid and called a sales lady to run up as if we had an issue with the dress. I clearly explained nothing is wrong w the dress. It was the lady who tried to rush us for signing the pickup form before final inspection is who we had a problem with. At the end of the day we give 2birds 5 stars for working so fast, efficiently, and professionally on the sales floor.

I purchased a bridal gown, 2 bridesmaid dresses and a junior bridesmaid dress from Two Birds Bridal in Wetherill Park on 9th February 2020. They seemed great to begin with, I thought I was going to receive my made to measure dresses and them end up my dream dresses but boy was I wrong. 3 weeks out from my wedding day I was at other bridal shops trying to find dresses for my big day all because Two Birds Bridal didn't produce the products I asked for and paid for. The quality was dreadful, the dresses weren't fitting correctly for made to measure dresses, they didn't even arrive with enough time to have them 'fixed' and appropriate enough to wear. There are so many brides out there who have experienced similar situations with this company. It seems they happily take soon to be brides money, but in return deliver horrible products and cause so much additional stress by waiting months before getting the dresses distributed from their 'designers' in China. I have since been to NCAT and managed to win the court case where Two Birds Bridal was ordered to pay me $7890, however they decided to put a dispute in. This dispute never went ahead as the company withdrew their application. I attempted to garnish their bank account - with no success and then paid for sheriffs to retrieve the money twice. But the owners changed their business name numerous times and are now claiming they know nothing about the debt being owed to me. Also take notice of the managers names listed with ASIC for Two Birds Bridal, you will find they post 5 star reviews here using their names stating how amazing their own business is and making out as though they purchase products regularly from the company they own. I am trying to get the word out there for future brides to be extremely careful and to read reviews both good and bad before putting any money down for bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses, especially at this particular bridal shop. Two Birds Bridal was ordered by NCAT to pay me and they are refusing to pay up! Nearly 2 years later and I am still fighting to get my money back. I will continue to fight until I receive what I am entitled to as per the NCAT court order of $7890.

Never before have I been to a shop that told a bride "it's better to try on a dress that's too small than one that's too big. Now my friend is not a big girl- usually about a size 8 I would guess. She tried on a beautiful dress in a US size 6 (Aus 10) and while it zipped up, it was tight and was showing every little lump and bump on the poor girl. It was impossible to visualize how it would look in her size. We asked if they had any bigger sizes and we were told that it's a new dress and it's too risky for them to order more sizes until they know if it will be available for a long time or that it will sell well. I don't know what she was blabbing on about but it sounded like a bunch of bull. Honestly... how many girls can try on a US size 6? It would be absolutely impossible for anyone even slightly bigger than an aussie size 10. Needless to say it was just what my friend was looking for but she never would buy it from there without being able to get a feel for what it would really look like in her correct size. When I went and picked up a bigger dress for her to try on in a different style the staff member tried to give us a lecture on how it's not good to try on a dress that's 2 sizes to big. It won't sit right. Of course it wont be perfect but at least you can zip the damn thing up. Now, for those of you who have never shopped for dresses, how it usually works (in EVERY single other shop I've ever been in in Australia and the US) is that they stock dresses that are a bit bigger so that more girls can actually try them on. Then they clip them in the back so you can see how it fits your shape. At abbey bridal we were told that they don't clip dresses because it ruins them. While I'm sure it isn't great for a dress, it IS standard practice AND it allows a bride to move around and really get a feel for what the dress will look like on the big day. Can't really do that if the staff is simply holding it together for you in the back. Needless to say they really rubbed us the wrong way. My friend really liked two of the dresses but told us that even if she decided on one of them she wouldn't buy it from this shop. Only reason I'm giving it more than 1 star is because they did have one of the bigger dress selections of the Dymocks building bridal shops.

Accordingly, none of the dresses in there look familar from other stores or girls you've seen on the street - I can almost guarantee you will be the only girl rocking that particular dress. The stores stocks dresses for all occasions - the races, a wedding, lunch, work or a night out. The buyer for this store is obviously very, very clever. The girls who work in the store are incredibly helpful and friendly - I told them of the occasion I needed the dress for, and they came back to me with a range of options; so nice! The prices are reasonable - less than $60 for a day dress, and most of the stock comes in at less than $100. I suggest that instead of wearing the same Glassons/Sportsgirl number everyone else is, go to Saffron Road and fall in love with something original.

With more than a nod to vintage styles, Sarah Jane clothes don't follow current fashion trends but have their own aesthetic. Made as they are from such delicate fabrics they're not the kind of things you wear to do the welding in, but provide years (if you're careful) of floaty comfort and silky glam. Times might be a bit tough, as every time I've come here of late, there's been a big table strewn with sale items which don't seem to be showing much sign of decreasing. So it's a chance to pick up a bargain or two. Hope they're here for many years to come. They remind me of a more sedate, less ditzy Alannah Hill.

Try as I might to beeline past Kisu, however, I found myself lured inside by the patterns and colors, like a mosquito to a nudist colony. Admittedly, I grow tired of seeing the same exact stuff in all the shops around the city. We all know there is no shortage of flowy mono-colored blouses or faux fur jackets. It is much more rare to find a shop that has unique inventory. Kisu, though it might not suit everyone, is certainly unique. Eccentric patchwork and embroidered garments are the norm here, and the owner designs mostly everything. There is a strong Asian influence, with some frocks that resemble kimonos. I tried on an electric green dress with an A-line hem and a sequin toucan on one side. I found it to drape strangely on me, which made me wonder if focus might be more on design than on fit. However, with most prices reduced about 50%, you can probably afford to go out on a limb and nab that statement piece that will truly have people talking.

As I approached KISU a dark blue coat was in the doorway. The color was stunning but more than that was the execution. This was a well crafted coat! it was also a brave article with small embellishments like hand made buttons and topstitching to name a few that let anyone that cares about these things say "someone took their time with this!". When I then looked at the price I was flabbergasted. It was practically a give away. Log story short, I bough the jacket. The sales person was lovely and said that there were extra buttons that went with the coat but she didn't know where they were. I told her I was around and could come back tomorrow. Fast forward to showing up at the store and meeting one of the two owners - Adrien. He was very accommodating and got the buttons from a slew of buttons he and his wife had made. While he was gathering the right buttons, I found myself finding more reasons to shop more than leave. So, 10 items later I found 2 skirts and a dress that are now making my coat from the previous day part of a KISU family. Each item was unique and I was so pleased with the way the clothes fit me. I love these clothes. Wearing something that is well made makes me feel loved. From my conversation, I am not sure how long the storefront will remain where it is but I know they will continue to make thoughtful pieces of clothing. Check it out if you are in the neighborhood... you won't regret it.
