Since starting in January, she has exceeded all of our expectations academically, personally, and socially. The structure, leadership, and supportive environment have helped her grow in confidence and maturity in a very short time. She has become confident, and so much more happier attending school. I was blessed to have been sent there by my parents "to straighten me out". It was truly, the best thing that ever happened to me... not that I thought I needed straightening out. St. John's created the environment where I could concentrate on the important on coursework and sports that I needed and/or enjoyed. We marched to breakfast, lunch and dinner. We marched to church (or were bussed to the church of our choice.) I attended for three years and it became the most important three years of my life. My Latin teacher taught me how to think and how to obtain my goals in life. I loved math, biology and physics. I was captain of the gymnastics team. It was an absolute positive experience. I graduated in 1959. I attended college (Engineering), then joined the United States Coast Guard. They sent me to US Navy Flight Training and I became a Coast Guard Air/Sea Rescue pilot for 7-years. United Airlines then hired me to fly for them. After 15 years with United, they brought me into upper management where I Worked and flew as a Flight Standards Captain, flying Boeing 747's around the world. I flew until age 60 (Mandatory retirement age back then), with over 20,400 hours of flight time. Thank you St. John's! You made that all possible. I have two younger brothers who also graduated from St. John's and they both were as successful as I was in adult life.

Maybe not quite appropriate even though Marshall was ethically opposed to slavery, he did own slaves and in a decision concerning the captured slave ship kept one third of the human cargo enslaved (the other two thirds were sent to Liberia). I suppose it doesn't matter as American history isn't really taught anywhere any more. The school itself use the arts to connect the curriculum and in spite of under-funding from the state level, they do a pretty good job it seems like. The building also houses some good community recreation programs run by Milwaukee Recreation. I've had at least some contact with almost every teacher here and have really seen amazing work. As a student teacher in the area, I worked in Greenfield, Brookfield, Wauwatosa, Franklin, and Milwaukee schools and this one has been my favorite. The families here are very supportive of the unique education their children are blessed to have. If you are looking at possible schools for your child, research immersion style learning and see if it is for your family. All topics are taught in German from pre-K onward all day. The kids pick it up through exposure and practice as they enter upper classes. English instruction starts in 2nd grade. Many think the children will be behind - not the case. The school actually has above average scores in all content areas. They still can speak English fine because they hear it outside of school and begin an understanding of language structure from being taught mechanics of it. The kids here are also exceptional. Much fewer issues than other schools. Good neighborhood too. If you plan to enroll the cut off age is 1st grade or they are too far behind. There is also a waitlist, so enroll as soon as enrollment opens up!

Inexperienced, and to top things off I think its 2 years ago that they had been rated 5 stars. The Owner by the name of Jessica has a very inexperienced Director who's very attitudinal and rude!! Her name is Cese who had the audacity to comfort me about an issue in front of her staff very aggressively than got an attitude when I responded to her yet still as a professional, in hopes that she would calm down, but no she continued. When I called to voice my issue with the way she had addressed me before going to my job where I services clients every day on how to remain professional. She took the side of her Director as excepted.. I thought I would get a more professional environment dealing with this Childcare center, total opposite. The staff are very inappropriately dressed, I wasn't sure who my child was with at times because the attire is so relaxed. Just an awful experience. I wouldn't recommend this Haunted House to any one. The kids seemed possessed and brainwashed with no personality, and I am speaking of 2yr olds. We only lasted a few weeks. Be wised when choosing Childcare for your Kids. Everything that says 5 star just isn't!! Pleased to say that my child will enroll into an much better Development Center next week.
