Live orchestra I think mostly high school students, and some of the supporting actors were high school students but the main characters were professionals. This is Port Washington parks and rec putting these performances on and I highly recommend them. So I will tell you what our experience was and let you decide. And I have to stress that this review comes after a long process of praying on this & trying to come to terms with & understand what even happened because it felt like a nightmare at the time for both my child and us as parents. Our concerns started with what I see as a bullying/sexual harassment incident and seemed to skyrocket from there with allegations that our child was lying, multiple meetings & phone calls with admin & teachers, non-transparency about relation between the bully and teacher and the staff's unwillingness to follow normal steps to investigate the issue. We also found out a female teacher there is a pastor & "spirit healer" or "spiritual healer." Something like that. I'm not sure what a spirit healer is, but I am uncomfortable with her using that at school on my child without me present. I didn't think the school's official position was that women can be pastors so I was surprised on this and feel other parents may want to know too. If you're good with that, fine, but I was surprised because it seemed like the school held to more of a traditional biblical view on this. In the end we were repeatedly urged to reconcile, which to them seemed to mean keeping our child there. We were not comfortable doing so and felt manipulated that their definition of Christian reconciliation meant keeping our child at their school.

Art department was the only good thing about this shit show because it helped me stabilize my mentality over the past 4 years, but it barely gets any funding! Overall a shitty experience and I'd never go back again, but I gave it two stars because if it weren't for high school, I wouldn't have become who I am today and I wouldn't have gotten know the greatest friends a high school senior could wish for.
