The GOOD: I was a GML resident for over 7 years and enjoyed living there. The building is historic but the apartments are fairly new, with space and amenities I hoped to find when I moved out of the area. The maintenance guys are superb; I don't recall ever waiting more than 24 hours regardless of the priority of the request. The BAD: It's noisy; you will hear your neighbor (and their dog) upstairs, and sometimes those on either side. The UGLY: I had auto-pay, and they continued to charge me for more than a month and a half after I moved out. They refused to show me how they calculated the refund amount, mis-addressed the refund check, and - despite the fact that it was due to their errors - charged me to stop the delayed check. Germantown mill lofts are recently renovated apartment complex in a historic and enormous building in the Germantown neighborhood of Lousiville. I am not an actual tenant here nor have I lived here. I helped a family friend move a few weeks back and checked out the facilities. The condos or apartments themselves are very beautiful with origami blm hardwood floors and good space. The interior designs and decor in this place are phenomenal. A beautiful place with cool architecture and landscape. The amenities here seemed to be really top notch as well. I was impressed with everything I seen on my trip. The apartment or condo life does not fit my large family lifestyle but if I lived a simpler and more condensed life then they would absolutely be a place I'd check out to live. read more

Germantown Mill Lofts is really cool! I have a friend who lives in the building, and when I visited his apartment I was very impressed by the look and feel of the space. Of course, my friend has excellent decorative tastes, but it wasn't just that. The industrial space offers an amazing canvas for one to add their own touches to. Plus, the common areas (like hallways), outdoor areas, and pool are all great! And you can't beat having a restaurant in the parking lot of your residence. What could be more convenient than that? This is a beautiful community. While I don't think that we will live there in the future primarily because the majority of the units do not have opening windows, there is a lovely vibe and I appreciate how they have tried to keep the memory of the building's original purpose alive. Parking is not assigned but there's plenty of it. We stopped by without an appointment to tour the property and the property manager was extremely gracious and showed us around at the end of the day. read more

I moved here from across the country with my boyfriend for his job and knew absolutely not a single person. (Making friends as a young professional can be challenging!) GML saved us! We have met 90% of our friends at this complex. The pool is so fun In the summer and grilling in the spring, summer and fall around the fire pits are a blast. Management has hosted many events such as a pool Dj, wine down wednesday, derby cocktail kickoff, monthly donuts in the AM. It's so great. Yes, it's apartment living but the positives outweigh the negatives by miles plus these apartments are better than the average. Couvillion (restaurant on property) is great...all day happy hour on Mondays & trivia! The neighborhood has very interesting and fun little spots that are easy to walk to which is very convenient. I lived here for a year and a half. I have some of the same complaints as the other posts. But would like to restate a few items. 1. Noise. We lived in The Waste Mill, which is the outside building with patios. While it was significantly better than living in the other building bc we didn't have people above or below us, it was still horrible. You can hear someone in the next apartment switch on their lights!! People that say noise in the apartments are average must not have any neighbors. 2. We had a problem with our front door, which is directly connected to the outside. The first fall we noticed that there was wind coming through the middle of the door. We called maintenance and he came over and to our surprise our door was bowing. It took numerous emails, calls, and stop ins to get any attention. I will attach pictures of WATER LEAKING THROUGH THE DOOR that we had to send to Underhill for them to replace it. Okay new door, cool right? No, we got a plank of wood for a door for 2 months before we got a new door. It was a safety hazard - we couldn't open the door at times, fit the key in the locks or be really sure that anyone couldn't open it. The next October we noticed the same issues starting up again... we immediately alerted them, asking for another new door. In December we were losing heat, it was like having an open window in the middle of negative temperatures. We went to the office because nothing had been done since when we originally went in October and they had maintenance come over and say that it was bowing again. At this point we filed to be let out of our lease. By some miracle we were approved to leave. 3. Management. They have been through more than 2 property managers in a year and a half. They cannot keep staff. This is a major problem when you start fixing something with one worker and the next doesn't know what you are talking about. They seem friendly and willing to help when you move in but it's almost impossible to get a reply otherwise. 4. Communication. This is severely lacking between workers and between the leasees and the office. One day we came home to a large garbage container, that took up to 12 parking spots without any notice. Oh, and do you like your privacy?? Because the office has been in our apartment without permission! The only way I knew was bc there was a note that they were in there. Total lack of communication. 5. Gym -When we moved in we were told that the gym would be included. It was not and nor is it worth the price. 6. Safety - there has been at least 4 overdoses in the parking lot since we moved in. A homicide and a suicide in the building. Cars are always being broken into, bikes stolen, and property damaged. Lastly, even though to no fault of our own we decided to have the lease stopped because of the front door. We did not break the lease. At the final walk through there were no issues, nothing they were going to charge us for. But AFTER I signed the papers saying that there was no charge, the property manager told me that we would not get our deposit back because "we broke our lease". We have asked for an email explaining why and have not heard a word back. Please do not fall for the allure of the exposed brick and great location. read more

Overall, I really like living in Germantown Mill Lofts. It's definitely not the most affordable - but being an old warehouse, it has tons of character with the wood floors, exposed bricks and high ceilings. In addition, units come with laundry, stainless steel appliances and granite counters throughout. The main cons are the noise and the pool hours - I knew before moving in that noise has been an issue for some. I never hear my next door neighbors, but I do hear my upstairs neighbors walking around quite often. Also, the pool hours are kind of bad - it really doesn't fit the lifestyle of someone who works 9-5, which the majority of us do work those hours. Also, shout out to Kay at GML - she's been great to work with, and always so friendly! Oh, and two tips: 1/ If you're moving into a 2 bedroom, try and get into a 2bd/2ba. My roommate and I pay $30 more for a layout that has an extra bathroom and windows in the bedroom (yes, some layouts do not have windows in the bedrooms). 2/ The windows are amazing, but make sure they open. We have a layout where a window opens, but a lot of people do not have that luxury. read more

My experience over the first two months of being a Germantown Mill Lofts resident has been very frustrating to say the least. A luxury apartment shouldn't be luxury in looks only, and unfortunately that's the main problem here. Our apartment looks AMAZING. When you look past that though, it's impossible not to be extremely disappointed. I'm posting this as a fair warning to people looking to move here in its current state. I hope they can fix what they can going forward. PROS * As mentioned, the apartments themselves are absolutely STUNNING. Our particular unit is completely hardwood floor and has a large amount of exposed brick. It's a showpiece for sure, and a spot you'll feel proud of. * Kay from the leasing office has been responsive to all of our concerns and has been great to deal with. As unfortunate as it is that we've had to call on her so much I do want to give credit where it's due CONS * It's hard for me to understand the serious issues with some of the hardware installation. Within the first week we had issues with the dishwasher, washer and dryer, and sinks. All were rectified quickly, but every single one was related to some step being missed in the installation process. This is a brand new property. How were these BASIC things missed during the sign-off process? * Our HVAC unit is wholly insufficient to actually cool our apartment. This has been ongoing and blatantly obvious as now that the weather has warmed. Our apartment doesn't get below 72 degrees until around 4 in the morning. Considering we have our thermostat set to 68 when we're home that's a bit of an issue. Also the HVAC guy they sent out had never seen a Nest thermostat before? Instead of trying to fix the problem, initially 100% of the focus was put on the fact that I installed my own thermostat because it allegedly "voided the warranty." I don't see anything about this in the lease nor do I remember being notified to not install a smart thermostat. Needless to say that was determined to NOT be the issue. I wish they had just fixed the problem instead of playing the blame game. * The train noise is CRAZY. Not a big deal for us, but if you're someone who needs quiet don't even think about moving here, especially on that side of the property. * The pool hours. 11-7. Do you have a job? No pool for you during the week if you do. It's frustrating as that's a major selling point. It's packed on the weekends too, so using it for exercise is not an option. * The gym isn't included in your rent, and isn't going to be 24-7. The only reason I can see to pay for the gym would be convenience if the opening hours meet your schedule. * Internet goes down often and speeds are becoming a concern as people move in. It's a shared pipeline and you have only one option. I'd gladly pay extra for better speed, but the quoted speed goals are 10-15 MBps. That's obviously going to degrade even further as there's only 1 wired connection per apartment so you're stuck with WiFi whether you like it or not. They are "working on it", but we'll see what happens. * Parking is going to be a bigger issue as more people move in. The restaurant dominates one side of the parking lot which is going to be a major issue for people on that side. This doesn't affect my unit as I'm on the other side, but just something to know going in. * There's no standard built-in lighting in the bedrooms. They *do* give you the option of installing a fan which may or may not have lighting - we didn't explore that option. For that "luxury" you'll pay an additional $200 per room. How is this not a standard amenity? That is ridiculous for an apartment at this price point and really sours the move in process. * Trash valet is meh. Kind of a useless "amenity" frankly, and one that you pay for on top of your rent. I want to love GML - I really do. There's tremendous potential in the property and if they sort out some of these things it could be a GREAT place to live. Right now there's just too many serious issues to recommend it to anyone - especially at the price premium you'll be paying. I hope that in 6 months from now I'll be able to give a better review, but right now I just can't recommend moving here right now. read more

I moved here a few months ago site unseen for various busy work life reasons. Melissa was great during this process and assured me I would love my new 2 B/BA apartment on the beautiful 3rd floor. She could not have picked a more perfect spot for us! The apartment is absolutely beautiful and surprisingly super quite. The building and amenities including the beautiful gym, pool, lounging area and lovely Bark Park are just a few of the perks living at GML but Melissa and Shawna have gone above and beyond to address and concerns I have had since we moved here. They are hands down professional, respectful and just great people, very impressive! Carl the maintenance man is also so prompt and thorough to any maintenance needs. I moved here in late March and haven't had any of the issues other posters mentioned. The walls are a bit thin, but what apartment building doesn't have thin walls? The pool is great. The common area is a great spot to sit outside when I'm working from home. The appliances all work just fine and I can do double the amount of wash in the washer and dryer than my previous apartments. Parking is more than ample now that the main entrance has opened, and the restaurant is great. I haven't had any issues with bugs, as a previous poster mentioned. Maybe it's just that I keep my apartment clean. The leasing office and maintenance staff always respond quickly to complaints, of which I've had very few. Above all else, the location is awesome. So centrally located. Kroger is right here. Great bars and restaurants all close by. Bardstown, Frankfort and Market are within 10 minutes. What's not to like? read more

I recently finished a year long lease at the lofts and did not renew.The Germantown Mill Lofts bill themselves as a "luxury" building and certainly charges luxury prices (possibly the most expensive in Louisville), but does not come close to this standard. I have lived in many "luxury" buildings before that offered far more amenities. A lot of problems stem from the management of the property, who run things like projects for the middle class. Pros: 1. The units themselves are truly stunning. No two units are alike. It is clear that during renovation the building took care to preserve the individuals features that give the units character. High ceilings. 2. Maintenance. Management does respond very fast when there are issues in the unit, at least in my experience. That said, others have not had the same experience. 3. Pool- The pool had very poor hours the first summer, but they have corrected this and it has been much better this summer. 4. Community- Germantown is not exactly a premier location, but the Goss Avenue strip has a lot to offer and it is close to downtown. This building attracts a fairly social crowd so it is one of the better places to be to meet people. Cons: 1. Noise: The walls are very thin.You will hear your neighbors, even at normal speaking volumes. This wasn't a huge issue for me, but if you need quiet, stay away. 2. Construction issues: It looks like the renovation went cheap towards the end and they left out some things to cut costs. The closets do not have doors in many units. 3. Lighting: The construction team did not install overhead lighting in the bedrooms. If you want a light installed so as to not rely on floor lamps for the very high ceilings, they charge you a ludicrous $200+ dollars for something that should already be there in every unit. 4. Utility/Trash: The building offers a trash service that comes to your door Sunday-Thursday to pick up trash from garbage cans. This costs $25 a month instead of being included with rent. This service is in place because the building did not bother installing trash chutes or reserving a space for dumpsters (the nearest dumpster is about 200m from the entrance). The building also charges for water, which is more acceptable, but still not common in many luxury buildings. 5. Other nickel and diming: Be prepared to lose a big chunk of your security deposit for normal wear and tear. They will charge you for any nail holes in the walls (industry standard is that dime sized or less is permissible). Their standard for cleaning fridges, ranges, microwaves without charging you seems to be that the appliances are restored to new condition. These are slumlord tactics. 6. Security Issues: Germantown is at best "up and coming". It is safe in my opinion. However, the parking lot is not gated or fenced in at all, which has caused quite a few issues. There have been multiple drug overdoses found in the parking lot. Teenagers from the surrounder area regularly come through and check if car doors are locked. Vehicles have been stolen from the parking lot. The management's solution is to hire a part time rental cop. 7. Carts: The building is massive, yet doesn't have any kind of carts for its residents to use to bring groceries or packages to the individual units. read more

I've lived at the lofts for almost a year and I've loved my experience! To begin, the staff is always helpful. The girls in the office are extremely pleasant. Any time I've had a question or there has been a minor issue they are always willing to find a solution. Additionally, the men who help with maintenance are friendly and quick to fix a problem. Prior to moving in, a leasing manager had advised my boyfriend and I to move into a unit on the third floor to avoid noise coming from apartments above. Thankfully, we followed her advice and have had NO issues! We absolutely love our 2 bedroom unit. It's extremely spacious and the overall vibe is inviting, cozy and feels like a true home. Yes, you can occasionally hear the train but unless you're used to living on a farm it's quite nice to hear noise once in awhile. I've lived in luxury apartments in Chicago and even in those apartments you can hear cars, trains, people.... it's normal and actually gives a sense of living "downtown." For the most part, everyone in the building is friendly and the pool/bbq area becomes a fun social spot during the warmer months. As of lately, management has begun to do more regarding safety throughout the building and parking lot which has been nice (and needed.) Goss Ave is a great location. It's got Mr. Lee's, Bean coffee, The Pearl, Lydia House, The Post ... all fun spots. My only complaints/suggestions would be the gym should be included for residents and pool hours/dates need to be extended. read more

My wife and I have been living in the Germantown Mill Lofts for about 9 months now. We really enjoy living here despite the noise between units and common spaces.The units are brand new and look really nice. Not perfect, but that's really not an issue. The biggest issue I have is with the price point and the unwillingness to be flexible with tenants. We recently received a renewal notice which required an additional $50 per month if we signed a six month extension vs a twelve month extension. There is no ability to extend for any other amount of time rather than switching to month to month, an additional $100 per month. Really sad that I can't keep my current rate, which is high but fair, when I told them exactly when we plan to move out. They sited the Fair Housing Act as justification for the increase which is intended to prevent discrimination based on race, religion, sex, familial status, handicap, or national origin. That has nothing to do with charging me more rent. read more

First and foremost, I've had a fantastic time at GML since moving in nearly 5 months ago. Pros: - Excellent location. 10 minutes to downtown, 5 minutes to Bardstown Rd., and several delicious restaurants in walking distance. - Awesome and unique apartments. There are many different apartment layouts based on location within the mill. Floors are all original mill floors, high ceilings (~14ft), HUGE windows, and granite counter tops. - Great amenities. - Great high-speed internet option (100Mbps at $50/m) Cons: - Rent is definitely on the higher side. - Walls are a bit thin. I do sometimes hear my neighbors, though not loud enough to bother me. - Windows do not open. - Had a tough time reaching the leasing office when I was first checking out apartments. Additional Remarks: - There are several reviews regarding car break ins. What's not mentioned is that the cars robbed were left unlocked. Also, the forgotten is the leaser's response, which was to notify all residents what occurred, provide film evidence of the thieves to the police, and increase parking lot security presence. - I have not had any difficulty finding parking, as other reviewers have mentioned. read more

I have lived in the lofts now for three months and although it is beautiful inside there are issues . The noise issue I can totally understand other people's complaints. Thank God I have quiet neighbors that are single . I don't think they used any Insulation at all and the drywall is quite thin. I can hear my neighbors speaking in a regular tone as well as their TV, garbage disposal and the occasional toilet flush. Oh and look out when the young couple down the hallway has an argument you can hear it 5 Apartments down! They tried to rectify the problem by applying caulk around all of the baseboards but LOL that is not going to help! The lack of natural light in the bedroom bothers me. What really bothered me as I had to pay $200 for a light or a fan. For a bedroom to have no natural light or any ceiling fixture, for me to have to pay additional for a light or a fan is Ludacris. I was not allowed to buy my own ceiling light fixture or fan and have my own license electrician install it even though I told them I could provide proof that it was a licensed electrician. Instead they wanted their handy man, not even a licensed electrician install the light. In the end I ended up buying a light from them for $200 and having it installed that I cannot take with me it is not considered mine. They will charge the next tenant $200 for the same light fixture and so on Also I do not like the fact that I cannot open the window I'm not even sure if this is code. It would have been nice to at least have a couple window panes be able to open to let in some fresh air. But I did know that going into signing the lease and I'm dealing with that right now but I don't know how much longer I will stay. I dream of fresh air and plants on the balcony . The gym is not an amenity if you have to pay for it. I also live on the side where the restaurant is and parking is a nightmare I have to fight between the restaurant people and the people at the gym. When I come home from work after 6 I have to park way out. I understand I'm not always going to get a front-row parking but when I see restaurant people parking where I feel it should be residents it upsets me. we are paying extremely high rent here and I feel like we should have at least a designated parking area and not have to fight between the gym and the restaurant goers. Calling GML a "luxury" establishment in Louisville would be a straight up lie. However, that's not the only lie when it comes to living here. I've been lied to about the timeline of construction. Everything was supposed to be completed by April, including an on-site gym. I was torn between two places, this place and another closer to St. Matthews-- the ONLY reason I chose to be here was that the leasing office SWORE the gym would be completed by the end of April. It's almost the end of May and there is no gym in sight. I even thought it would be worth it to pay ~$300 more each month because of the proximity of this gym. It's a slow-settling but huge disappointment each time I walk through the parking lot. The list of disappointments go on with other parts of the apartment too. There's apparently a pool in our complex? That is also nowhere to be found. The fire alarm goes off at least once every two weeks, we have beautifully large windows that are characteristic of an old mill building--charming, until you realize that they don't open. None of the windows open. There are no functioning windows in my unit. You'd think there's a vent maybe, that clears out the air, or a complex system that lets the apartment breathe. No, there isn't. THE WALLS. They are incredibly thin. I can hear footsteps and even pawsteps from the dog upstairs. There's also a dog that cries all day long. Sometimes I'm thankful for the fire alarm because when that's going off, you can't hear the dog. That doesn't stop me from hearing even the lightest music my next door neighbor is playing. As for the rooms, there's nothing in them. No overhead lighting, no indoor fan. Okay, an easy and cheap fix after a trip to Home Depot. Unfortunately the leasing office won't let you buy anything of your own and add to the fixtures. You CAN buy a 200 dollar fixture per room and have them come install it. Too bad the fixtures are ugly and you can get the same exact ones for less than 50 bucks at Home Depot. Maybe even cheaper at Menards. So if you plan to move here, good luck waking up in pitch darkness, even at like 3pm. Did I mention we share a parking lot with a restaurant? You probably can't find a place to park on weekends. Nice to know you can't park at your own apartment. All this is okay, it's bearable. It's maddening to pay over 1k a month to live here with these horrible facilities, but it's do-able. Afterall, it's only a 12 month lease right? Right?! NO. There are cockroaches here. I'm clean, I vacuum and mop twice a week and do laundry every week. I never leave food around, not even pizza boxes. But my unit has cockroaches. I don't understand where they are coming from. Luckily, they've been gone for a while, but a lurking feeling tells me they are hiding somewhere long-term to kill me in my sleep. Lastly, there is a weird trash system here. You have to have someone else take out your trash for you...but they don't work on Friday nights or Saturday nights. I'm not saying they don't deserve to have breaks. I'm saying I can take out my own trash, because it's really not that hard. Also, the leasing office is oddly fixated on hiding the trash can too. You leave it out overnight, the trash people come around 11pm to collect it, and the next morning you're supposed to bring the trashcan back into your unit. If that trashcan isn't gone by 9am, be ready for an email from the office asking you to put that s*** away. They'll tell you every time you're late, EVERY TIME. Sometimes I just stay at work for an extra few hours because I don't like coming home. I hate being here, just glad I don't live in the units right next to the train tracks. If the train derails, it will derail straight into the apartment. Good luck. read more

After having lived in the lofts about 9 months, I am disillusioned with both the property and the management. Pros: 1. The apartments are really, really beautiful and the historical charm of the property is undeniable. 2. Maintenance is always extremely helpful and responds quickly to problems. 3. The gym on-site is now included for new customers. 4. I haven't had any issues with noise as some others had mentioned. Cons: almost everything else 1. Melissa in the front office takes 2+ emails to get a response from if you have a question that might inconvenience her in the slightest. Some of the worst customer service I have experienced, and like others have said they absolutely refuse to make even small concessions to keep their customers happy. You would think management would be a little more aware of how they treat their customers given the new loft property that just opened a mile away. 2. While the high ceilings and brick walls look great, they definitely cheaped out on insulating the apartments. My last month's electricity bill was $350 for a 1,000 sq foot apartment kept no warmer than 65 (not to mention even kept on 65 the system physically can't keep the apartment as warm as 65 and I have been freezing since November). 3. As others have mentioned, the mandatory valet trash is a definite con. The nickel and diming is exceptionally annoying for apartments with costs that are already too high. Oh, and it costs $12.95 per person per month but you're only given one small receptacle for trash pickup that all your trash must fit in and there's no pickup on the weekends. 4. Echoing others here on the pool hours. You can't enter the pool unless there is a lifeguard present and the limited hours of the lifeguards make it impossible to utilize for someone working regular work week hours. Additionally, you have to stake out a place early on the weekends if you want to spend any time there. 4. Again like others have said, compared to other places I have lived (in places with MUCH higher costs of living such as Nashville and Austin) the lofts really aren't a "luxury" property. The prices are way too high compared to what you get and compared to other properties in the Louisville area. Overall, I would not recommend the lofts to anyone unless you just really love the look and are willing to sacrifice all the other stuff it. read more

Love living here ! Let's start outside , tons of parking spaces, beautifully landscaped, pool, fire pit, ample outside furniture for relaxing, dog stations through out the property, with free bags. Did I mention , pet friendly Just to mention a few. The apartments are full of character and history. Modern day meets old mill history, with brick walls, stainless steel appliances, original wood floors, granite counters, high ceilings. Gorgeous!! The AC/heating systems are very efficient and quickly cool/ heat the apartments. Love having a laundry unit in the apartment, just the right size. The window and treatments give you the ability to have tons of bright sunshine or just a little. The Intercom system allows you the ease of having deliveries and friends come in without you running downstairs. Did I mention 2 elevators- available 24/7. The office staff seem like they are always there to answer any question. Both Shawnna and Melissa have been tremendous helpful, informative and have gone above and beyond to help me and my husband. I have lived here since February and let me just say this... prepare to be consistently perplexed. The developers (Underhills) are RUDE! Their general demeanor and and their consistent negative presence on the property is off-putting. A mix between elitism and condescension. The ladies in the leasing office are great but are in a tough space dealing with the developer. A few things to consider about this complex: 1) NOT pet friendly: I understand that "grass burns" from dog urine are not visually appealing. But, the complex has decided to advertise themselves as pet friendly. Listed 4th on their list of community amenities on the website. The Underhill translation for pet friendly is to mark every "grass burn" with a sign that says "Keep Pets off Grass." The only spot that is approved for dogs is in the back of the parking lot, around 100 yrds. from the building. Aka. Hope your dog has a super bladder! Perplexing... 2) Lighting: At a price point starting at ~$1000 you shouldn't be charged $200 for a fan/light rental... Talk about a surprise on move-in day when I realized that the bedroom had no lights what so ever. Was able to get floor lamp and fan to accommodate. Again, perplexing. 3) Pool: Once you have read the full page of pool rules and agreements, 12 pt font, not double spaced, you can enjoy the pool while you are at work. The hours are simply perplexing in that the only time it is open is when the average person is working... to afford the rent. I lived at Germantown Mill Lofts for a year and that was all I could take. It was a horrible experience in every way. All the negative reviews you will find online, both on this site and others, are all true and reflective of the experience endured by most residence. The noise issue is absolutely unbearable at times. This causing me to stay at friend's houses or hotels anytime I needed to ensure a good night's sleep. Both the property developer and on-site management are well aware of the wide spread problem but have done nothing and continue to do nothing to improve/correct the matter. They simply continue to lose tenants at the end of a single year's lease and seek out replacements trying to ensure they stay at a reasonable occupancy rate. While I respect that this is a business, it is clear they care nothing about people. They are only concerned with money and trying preserving the reputation they think they have in the community. There are many, many other new and beautiful apartment communities in the city - each have real "amenities," are in areas far more interesting and safer than Goss Avenue, and with prices that more accurately reflect the cost of "luxury" living in Louisville, KY (not overpriced.) I would recommend checking them out instead. Do not make the same mistake as I did with GML, being pulled in by the fascinating history or highly misleading aesthetics of the building. I've been at the lofts about a week now & it has been such an amazing experience even from the initial inquiry on the property. The complex is so well maintained, nicely kept, & super convenient with the location and various amnenties offered. The leasing director, Melissa, has been absolutely amazing through the entire move-in process!!! She is always super pleasant and readily available to help in any way to make the transition of moving super smooth and easy. Honestly, I'm extremely hard to please but so far this unit has greatly exceeded my expectations; the only downsides are the lack of parking & at times you can hear your neighbors, but nothing that is unbearable. Before choosing GML, I looked at pretty much every other luxury complex in the downtown/Highlands/Germantown areas & this was by far the best choice. Our unit is MASSIVE! We have a 2nd floor 2 bedroom, 2 bath & it's everything & more that I could have asked for. The units are so beautiful and have a perfect balance of modernism and character so you definitely get better aesthetics and more bang for your buck in comparison to other comparable complexes. Will do an updated review in a few more months if anything changes but currently I HIGHLY recommend moving here. read more
