I came to support their Confidential Care event at 6:00 on 9/25/25 with my wife and family. Being…read moreas there were no signs posted and absolutely no indication that they didn't want or allow firearms to be carried by attendees, I carried my firearm as I would at any other time in full compliance with Tennessee state law and presumably the Churches own rules. After using the restroom I exited the stall and had three security guards pounce on me with one having his gun pointed at me. I complied with all orders and immediately raised my hands. Once taking my firearm, my property, off of my belt, they escorted me out of the building. A medium build, middle aged white man (the problem security guard) proceeded to question me as to why I was there, who I was with, and why I would comply with all state laws in carrying a firearm. I replied respectfully to all questions. When he told me I had an attitude and I replied that he came at me with his gun drawn. His immediate response was to threaten that I get arrested. He threatened arrest for complying with his orders and following Tennessee state law to the letter because I bruised his ego by pointing out his ridiculous behavior. Again, he is a white haired, medium build, 5'8"-5'10" tall white man who claimed to be a USAF veteran. Update: his name is Andy Willis and they entrusted him with the director of security position despite his reckless and negligent behavior.

Since that time, I have been connected to a small group and I regularly attend Wednesday night EQUIP Bible classes and Sunday sermons. In all the lessons I learned through the years, I heard the message that I was to go, preaching and teaching the name of Jesus with others. I prayed to the Lord, and He called me to start a baseball ministry, known as the East Coast Sox (eastcoastbaseball.org) Central continues to be home where I attend to fill up my heart, soul, and mind to know Jesus better.
